I love this song so much. They sound fantastic together. The video is lovely too.

This was my favorite song on MCIIY and I remember instantly loving it when I listened to the album. These days, while I still love it, it's not my favorite song on the album anymore and I think I was so obsessed with it because I had missed those organic sounding, old-school ballads she had on TEOM but were missing from Einstein and Memoirs.
This features my favorite vocal performance Mariah delivered in the 2010s decade. I adore it from beginning to end. She gives you everything: full voice in the verses, belting in the choruses, a whistle at the bridge, a modulation for the final part AND a sustained note... masterclass! I also love the quick "Jingle Bells" interpolation in the middle. Cute!
I don't care for the duet with John Legend at all. I mean he sounds pretty good, even if you can hear him pushing himself to follow her, but he wasn't needed.
The video is pretty nice featuring Mariah with her family

The reason I prefer the duet version is because having Legend on it makes it feel more familial/communal, which is ultimately the message of the song.

After seeing this live in concert, I think it’s my least favorite of her Christmas originals. I’ve never been much of a fan of it, but the boringness jumps out at me lately.

It's terrific! I especially love the production and Mariah's voice in the verses. I do think she could've pushed herself a bit less in the chorus, but it's a minor nit-pick.
