Upon further review, this is the first time in WT40 history that a single inside the Top 5 has dropped out of the survey the following week. Also, this is the first time in history two songs have dropped off inside the Top 15 in WT40 history the following week, and finally, it's the first time 3 songs have dropped off higher than #22 in the following week in WT40 history...dating back to 1983.

When Die Young fell off from the #1 position in early 2013, it wasn't the following week. It was after a 3 week holiday break meaning almost a month of time had passed before a new chart was published.

As of the published Mediabase charts from Sunday, Miguel is #1 on CHR with "Sure Thing," and Dean Lewis is #4 on HAC with "How Do I Say Goodbye." It'll be interesting to see if these 2 songs will continue to be ignored.

according to the Sure Thing thread Mediabase did not start charting it at Hot AC until May 11th where it entered at #34 even though it was listed at #42 for the previous week. today it is #28 so it will probably enter his chart in the coming weeks . the Dean Lewis song is not charting at pop. for a song to make Rick's list it has to be on both charts .

Interesting. When I played it last night, it was last week's show. Sure shot was the same, chart movement was the same, etc. But the display read June 9th. And nobody posted the new chart here.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. When I opened up the app to listen, I also opened this thread to what I thought was last week's chart. It was actually this week's chart. That shows how invested I am in the current music charts. They vary so little from week to week that I didn't even realize what happened until today.

If I'd realized my error sooner, I'd have happily deleted my entire previous post...
