That's sad indeed. You speak facts and I couldn't agree more. Thanks!

I'm new to the country genre charts and don't mean to insult anyone, but what is this ongoing rage about country radio sexism? Over the last 6 months, there are quite many female songs in the top 20-30, and right now especially there are lots of female artists in the top 20. Agree, its not equal, like the CHR, but have a look at the urban or rock leaning formats' charts. I mean, why arent you people mad about that instead? đ This is probably currently the most women making headway on the country airplay charts in close to a decade. It's usually far less than 1/3 of the charts featuring prominent female vocals, and the likelihood of female songs breaking out in a big way (such as hitting #1) is still few and far between. If Maren Morris holds onto #1 like I hope she can, it'll be the first time a solo woman has spent more than a single week at the top of the charts in like 8 years and I think that factoid alone says it all. It's also a big topic of discussion in country music because radio executives have literally gone on record saying things like that women are the tomatoes in the salad (i.e. we need only a few mixed in with the majority being male artists) or that playing two women back-to-back on a country station is often frowned upon/not allowed by certain companies. And lastly, I think people in the country forum are probably upset about sexism in country music... because this is the country forum. I mean it sucks that women would be getting unequal airtime on other formats as well, but it really doesn't pertain to the discussion here as to whether female rappers or rockers are getting the same airplay or not. I'm sure you'll find people upset about gender disparity in those formats if you look at people who listen to those genres.

Looking at the chart updates on Billboard it looks like there was a bit of a mini housecleaning as Dan & Shay/Justin Beiber, Luke Combs, and Ryan Hurd all went recurrent. Jury is still out on whether Caylee Hammack or Gone West went recurrent, but if I was a betting man I would assume at least one if not both went recurrent.
Hopefully within the next week or two the labels realize all these songs (Ryan Hurd, LoCash, Caylee Hammack, and Gone West) have essentially stalled out and drop them. Maybe Gone West can hang on and re-enter again (assuming they went recurrent) but even then they have also haven't moved much since the new year.
Anyways I still think Travis Denning is hanging on barely (despite the housecleaning he is either at #18 or #19 depending if Kelsea Ballerini got back ahead), and given the age and recent updates, I don't think the future is very bright for the latest singles from Michael Ray, Billy Currington, or Eric Church.

I can tell you for a fact that Caylee and Gone West have gone recurrent. We have 5 songs entering the top 40 tonight. In order of chart appearance tonight Kip Moore at #35, Chris Janson at #37, Jameson Rodgers at #38, Midland at #39 and Eli Young Band at #40. I figure Sam is at #2 still, Jimmie at #4, Pardi at #5, Luke Bryan at #9, Gabby at #14, Kelsea and Travis are #18 & #19. I'm sure about Sam, Jimmie and Luke. Not sure if Pardi or Dan + Shay was the song that went recurrent. I'd think Kelsea would still be ahead of Travis but then again as slow as they're both moving who knows. Gabby I'm sure about at #14 as well.

What a soft chart this week (taking only a little over 3000k to make the Top 30 and around 1750k to make the Top 40). The songs below the Top 10 that went recurrent really need to give up because the chart is really low in audience and are hogging up way too many spins.
I will say as great as the housecleaning is, unfortunately until they actually give up, any one of Ryan Hurd, LoCash (they are still being promoted), Caylee Hammack and Gone West could re-enter. At the very least given the fact that both Caylee Hammack and LoCash got adds at Country Aircheck this week both songs will probably be promoted for at least this week.
I still stand by that this week is survival week for a lot of songs with Kenny Chesney neutralizing Jon Pardi going recurrent, and any of the 4 that have gone recurrent returning.

So beautiful seeing so many songs get nice gains of 4-6 spots on the charts due to all the recurrents. This was long overdue. Hopefully those songs stay gone too, because we need more chart space freed up. Maybe it will incentivize radio to start upping the airplay for some of these slow-moving songs now that they're being up a little on the charts and will benefit from some of the spins that the recurrent songs will lose soon.

Dustin Lynch âMommaâs Houseâ 60. Dylan Scott âNobodyâ (New!)
New and Active Section Sam Hunt âHard To Forgetâ Stephanie Quayle âWhatcha Drinkin Boutâ Tyler Farr âOnly Truck In This Townâ Lainey Wilson âDirty Looksâ Russell Dickerson âLove You Like I Used Toâ Parmalee featuring Blanco Brown âJust The Wayâ
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Jon Pardi âHeartache Medicationâ Peak #1 Weeks: 38 Stephanie Quayle âWhatcha Drinkin Boutâ Peak #59 Weeks: 1 (still being promoted by the label) Teddy Robb âReally Shouldnât Drink Around Youâ Peak #56 Weeks: 6
Commentary This is probably one of the most straightforward weeks in recent memory. With only two songs truly going recurrent in Jon Pardi and Teddy Robb with Kenny Chesney big debut neutralizing a lot of songs, since this week is so straightforward I am just gonna go through some quick highlights.
Sam Hunt gets to #1 as Jimmie Allen looks to follow him up next week, I know âDive Barâ is pushing next week but I have a 10 million audience gap between Garth Brooks and Jimmie Allen, and even if âDive Barâ makes that up Jimmie Allen is also probably gaining a good amount next week.
Out of all the songs expected on the chart tomorrow, Jason Aldean is the only one I could feasibly see go recurrent with âWe Backâ next week, but even then I think Broken Bow is gonna hold out for a Top 5. After a couple of static weeks, âMore Hearts Than Mineâ by Ingrid Andress is picking the pace back up. Riley Green along with Carly Pearce/Lee Brice, however struggle greatly this week, and âBeer Canât Fixâ by Thomas Rhett & Jon Pardi has its first dud week as the gains slow down a lot and Morgan Wallen should get back ahead.
Singles from Scotty McCreery, Eric Church and Michael Ray struggle to stay afloat, as I think all three songs are looking likely to peak inside the Top 20 as best case scenario. Also despite a decent week, the surge of âDrowningâ by Chris Young looks to temporarily keep Maddie & Tae back out of the Top 30 with âDie From A Broken Heartâ.
Good weeks for Chris Janson and Midland as singles from Billy Currington, Jameson Rodgers, Kip Moore, Eli Young Band kind of just coast along doing not much of anything. Meanwhile in the 40s singles from Lauren Alaina (both âGetting Goodâ and âOne Beerâ), HARDY/Devin Dawson, Hot Country Knights/Travis Tritt, Tenille Arts, and LANco.
Lastly, look for new singles from Lady Antebellum and Dylan Scott to debut pushing Stephanie Quayle off the charts for now.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Aka songs that I see going recurrent within 4 weeks.) Maren Morris âThe Bonesâ Jason Aldean âWe Backâ Garth Brooks & Blake Shelton âDive Barâ Jimmie Allen âMake Me Want Toâ Scotty McCreery âIn Betweenâ Eric Church âMonstersâ
Songs In Danger Riley Green âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ Carly Pearce & Lee Brice âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ Travis Denning âAfter A Fewâ Kelsea Ballerini âHomecoming Queenâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Billy Currington Detailsâ Eli Young Band âBreak It In
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Jon Pardi âIt Ainât Always The Cowboyâ Maren Morris âTo Hell and Backâ Keith Urban âGod Whispered Your Nameâ Sam Hunt âHard To Forgetâ Stephanie Quayle âWhatcha Drinkin Boutâ
Closing Thoughts With no one looking like a surefire recurrent this upcoming week and Keith Urban debuting a lot of songs are going to probably go back in Survival mode as despite both Caylee Hammack and Ryan Hurd starting to shed spins, with a Keith Urban debut and both Jimmie Allen and Garth/Blake maxing this upcoming week, look for a lot of the songs below the Top 20 to have to really hold on/

One good thing, after this coming week we should have three songs in free fall from the top 10, especially Garth and Jimmie. Should free up some spins and chart movement.

2 new songs entering the top 40 tonight on Billboard. Kenny Chesney's "Here And Now" at #25 and Dillon Carmichael's "I Do For You". Brett Young enters the top 10 as well.

Kip Moore âSheâs Mineâ 36-37. Midland âCheating Songsâ 38. Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ 39-40. Jameson Rodgers âSome Girlsâ 39-40. Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ 41-43. Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ (last week?) 41-43. Matt Stell âEverywhere But Onâ 41-43. Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ 44. Hardy featuring Lauren Alaina & Devin Dawson âOne Beerâ 45-47. Brantley Gilbert âFireât Upâ 45-47. Runaway June âHead Over Heelsâ 45-47. Chris Lane âBig, Big Plansâ 48-50. LANco âWhat I Seeâ 48-50. Parker McCollum âPretty Heartâ 48-50. Hot Country Knights featuring Travis Tritt âPick Her Upâ (last week?) 51-54. Lady Antebellum âWhat Iâm Leaving Forâ 51-54. Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ (last week?) 51-54. Granger Smith âThatâs Why I Love Dirt Roadsâ 51-54. Morgan Evans âDiamondsâ 55-58. Old Dominion âSome People Doâ (New!) 55-58. Lindsay Ell âI Donât Love Youâ (last week?) 55-58. Tenille Arts âSomebody Like Thatâ 55-58. Brandon Lay âFor My Moneyâ 59-60. Dustin Lynch âMommaâs Houseâ 59-60. Stephanie Quayle âWhatcha Drinkin Boutâ
New and Active Section Sam Hunt âHard To Forgetâ Russell Dickerson âLove You Like I Used Toâ Abby Anderson âIâll Still Love Youâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ Lainey Wilson âDirty Looksâ King Calaway âNo Matter Whatâ
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Rayne Johnson âFront Seatâ Peak #34 Weeks: 25 (60% sure this is going recurrent) (still being promoted by the label) Mitchell Tenpenny featuring Seaforth âAnything She Saysâ Peak #58 Weeks: 2 (still being promoted)
Commentary/Highlights Since this week we had 4 songs consuming so many spins in Jimmie Allen, Garth/Blake, Kenny Chesney, and Keith Urban the charts are at a temporary standstill. So some quick highlights. Jimmie Allen should very easily secure the #1 with 58 week old âMake Me Want Toâ as Kane Brown should take the top spot next week. Garth Brooks is gonna have to settle for a Top 5 Mediabase/Billboard peak as âDive Barâ should begin freefalling hard next week. Maren Morris should spend a final week with âThe Bonesâ. Jason Aldean continues to skate by barely as âWe Backâ nears its final weeks.
âDoes To Meâ looks to slow back down this week which should give the other singles in the mid teens (Morgan Wallen, Carly Pearce/Lee Brice, and especially Thomas Rhett/Jon Pardi). Travis Denning and Kelsea Ballerini continue to struggle and with âAfter A Fewâ already peaking in the Mediabase Top 15, I think Travis Denning is just about at the end of the road.
In the 20s, Kenny Chensey should set a new peak despite the iHeartMedia hangover, and Keith Urban should also debut in the Top 30. Elsewhere singles from Michael Ray, Scotty McCreery, and Eric Church struggle. Also look for Chase Rice to stay ahead of Miranda Lambert, however both âBluebirdâ and âLonely If You Areâ are looking strong overall.
Due to Keith Urbanâs debut and no one in the Top 30, Chris Young should be bumped out of the Top 30 as Ashley McBryde really makes up a lot of the gap between her and both âDrowning and âDie From A Broken Heartâ. As Billy Currington continues to struggle and fall further back from his #32 peak a couple weeks ago, Chris Janson continues to pose solid gains with âDoneâ.
Eli Young Band really took the brunt of the chartâs clog this week as despite neither Matt Stell or Lauren Alaina having great weeks or even decent, âBreak It Inâ looks to lose itâs bullet and potentially have both Lauren Alaina and Matt Stell pass them as âBreak It Inâ looks weak. Elsewhere solid weeks for Runaway June (mainly due to KKBQ bump), Hardy/Lauren Alaina/Devin Dawson, and Lady Antebellum. As both Hot Country Knights/Travis Tritt and Little Big Town look to lose their bullet for the second week in a row.
Lastly look for Old Dominion to debut, and also it looks like out of all the songs in the 50s âI Donât Love Youâ by Lindsay Ell looks to be spinning its wheels and not gain hardly anything.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Jimmie Allen âMake Me Want Toâ Sam Hunt âKinfolksâ Garth Brooks & Blake Shelton âDive Barâ Maren Morris âThe Bonesâ Jason Aldean âWe Backâ Travis Denning âAfter A Fewâ Scotty McCreery âIn Betweenâ Billy Currington âDetailsâ Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ
Songs In Danger Kelsea Ballerini âHomecoming Queenâ Eric Church âMonstersâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Kip Moore âSheâs Mineâ Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ Hot Country Knights featuring Travis Tritt âPick Her Upâ Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ Lindsay Ell âI Donât Love Youâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Sam Hunt âHard To Forgetâ Russell Dickerson âLove You Like I Used Toâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ Mitchell Tenpenny featuring Seaforth âAnything She Saysâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ
Closing Thoughts With Maren Morris going recurrent and three songs in the Top 10 in freefall next week and no iHeartMedia debuts, a lot of the songs should see solid gains, especially if one of the older singles give up next week as well (Travis Denning, Scotty McCreery, Billy Currington) and join her in recurrent land.
With only Maren Morris as a lock to go recurrent however, donât look for a lot of songs to move up a lot of positions unless more songs below the Top 10 give up as well. The week after that should be good as then I would expect all 3 of Jimmie Allen, Garth Brooks, and Sam Hunt to go recurrent.

With Garth Brooks coming in at #6 for Billboard last night and in a huge collapse (losing over 500 spins today alone) look for him to go recurrent this next Monday on Billboard and for Ingrid Andress to take his Top 10 spot. What is interesting is Maren Morris, as today''s update seems to me to indicate that the freefall has begun to level off for her, and she may get another week, as the song that would theoretically replace her in the Top 10 would be Riley Green "I Wish Grandpas Never Died" but as of right now there is about a 500 spin gap between the two and Riley Green has been pretty much static in gains so far this week.
Also important thing to note, Rayne Johnson, Kip Moore, Jon Langston, Dillon Carmichael, Eli Young Band, Lauren Alaina (boo!), Hot Country Knights/Travis Tritt, Little Big Town, and Lindsay Ell all have to re-bullet or will be sent recurrent. One update into the Billboard tracking week (minus HCK, and Lindsay Ell since they aren't in the Mediabase Top 50) using Mediabase, Kip Moore, Rayne Johnson, Jon Langston, and Little Big Town are off to a rough start, Lauren Alaina and Dillon Carmichael pretty much gained nothing today, and Eli Young Band looks so far likely to re-bullet.

Commentary/Highlights Like with the past month the charts continue to remain unstable as besides Garth Brooks I am unsure of anyone else going recurrent this week.
At #1 for the first of what I imagine will be two weeks is Kane Brown âHomesickâ, the runner up Jake Owen should follow #1 after with Luke Bryan soon after. With Brett Young and Jordan Davis getting very strong Top 10 conversions, and both look very likely to hit #1 once Luke Bryan clears out. Also both should pass the still floundering Jason Aldean, as Ingrid Andress scores her first Top 10 with debut single âMore Hearts Than Mineâ and also looks like a future #1.
Gabby Barrett, Thomas Rhett, and Morgan Wallen pose very solid gains, and even duets from Luke Combs and Carly Pearce pose solid gains as all look to probably duke it out for multiple weeks at #1. The song in the teens that is getting the biggest short end of the stick is Riley Green with âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ, as despite great sales Riley Green has really hit a snag on the chart and could go recurrent this week. Also a great week for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, as both Travis Denning and Kelsea Ballerini have a bit more moderate of gains however due to the EP release I unfortunately donât see Travis Denning leaving anytime soon. Lastly look for Kenny Chesney to snag the last Top 20 spot in his third week with âHere and Nowâ
In the 20s, Scotty McCreery sees a bit of a rebound, LoCash really surging after re entering the chart last week, and pretty solid weeks for Florida Georgia Line and Carrie Underwood with their latest singles. Michael Ray continues to emerge more and more as a weak link with âHer World Or Mineâ, as it was one of the weakest gainers in the 20s this week. Eric Church continues to hang in there just outside the Top 20 with âMonstersâ. Also looks like Chase RIce continues to keep finding his stride with âLonely If You Areâ and after being bounced out of the Top 30 look for Miranda Lambert âBluebirdâ and Maddie & Tae âDie From A Broken Heartâ to re-enter the Top 30.
Gone West looks to re-enter tomorrow but still looks to probably remain just outside the Top 30 with âWhat Couldâve Beenâ. Also despite an overall upswing in momentum, Ashley McBryde looks to probably get set back this week as both Chris Janson and shockingly Billy Currington really surged this week. I still donât see âDetailsâ lasting a ton longer, but this week definitely brought a bit of a spark back for the song. Chris Young meanwhile continues to struggle with âDrowningâ.
Important note to make: I am very, very unsure on whether or not Rayne Johnson or Kip Moore go recurrent, both have lost a decent chunk of audience since Monday on Mediabase (Rayne Johnson losing nearly 300k and Kip Moore losing 120k) however both did gain spins as well (Kip Moore gained 87, and Rayne Jonson 11) so I am very uncertain about them leaving.
Anyways Jameson Rodgers should re enter the Top 40 as he easily re-bullets, while neither Midland and especially Jon Langston find much traction. The Dixie Chicks look to chart for the first time in 14 years with âGaslighterâ, that being said this will probably be this songâs only week unfortunately. Both Eli Young Band and Lauren Alaina look to potentially re-enter the Billboard Top 40 as Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ got a good bump from KKGO and the Cumulus block. Also due to a KKBQ bump, Runaway June has another solid week on the chart. Dillon Carmichael is another one where I am unsure whether he will stay on the chart. I said he will but it could go either way. Lady Antebellum and Old Dominion look to enter the Top 50 as Matt Stell continues to jsut stay afloat in the 40s. Lastly look for Russell Dickerson to debut and Dustin Lynch to re-enter as singles from Morgan Evans, Granger Smith, and Lindsay Ell continue to struggle to gain any real traction.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Jimmie Allen âMake Me Want Toâ Sam Hunt âKinfolksâ Maren Morris âThe Bonesâ Jason Aldean âWe Backâ Riley Green âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ Scotty McCreery âIn Betweenâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Rayne Johnson âFront Seatâ Kip Moore âSheâs Mineâ Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ
Songs In Danger Kelsea Ballerini âHomecoming Queenâ Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ Granger Smith âThatâs Why I Love Dirt Roadsâ Lindsay Ell âI Donât Love Youâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Jon Pardi âIt Ainât Always The Cowboyâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ Maren Morris âTo Hell and Backâ Brandon Lay âFor My Moneyâ Stephanie Quayle âWhatcha Drinkin Boutâ
Closing Thoughts With Jimmie Allen as a lock to go recurrent next week and being replaced by Gabby Barrett, and Maren Morris all but a lock to stay another week in the Top 10, next week should mark the first time three solo female singles have been in the Top 10 since October of 2012 when Jana Kramer âWhy Ya Wannaâ, Carrie Underwood âBlown Awayâ, and Miranda Lambert âFastest Girl In Townâ were all in the Top 10.
With an EP for Travis Denning and an album for Gone West in May and June look for both singles to hang around a bit while longer. That being said there are still some glaring weaknesses on the chart and should not last much longer (looking at you Riley Green, Scotty McCreery, Michael Ray, Dillon Carmichael, and Rayne Johnson).
Very excited to see how next week goes especially since besides Kelsea Ballerini and sooner or later Maren Morris with âThe Bonesâ, I donât really foresee any of the female singles leaving the chart anytime soon (Lindsay Ell continues to move nowhere but I imagine they hold onto âI Donât Love Youâ for a long while).

New and Active Section Jon Pardi âIt Ainât Always The Cowboyâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ Tyler Farr âOnly Truck In Townâ Mitchell Tenpenny featuring Seaforth âAnything She Saysâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ Parmalee featuring Blanco Brown ââJust The Wayâ
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Jimmie Allen âMake Me Want Toâ Peak #1 Weeks: 59 Florida Georgia Line âBlessingsâ Peak #24 Weeks: 24 Dixie Chicks âGaslighterâ Peak #36 Weeks: 1 (still being promoted)
Commentary Highlights This week is a bit of an odd and unexpected week. Lots of moving parts as the gains really shriveled up.
At the top should be Kane Brown for a second week with âHomesickâ, similarly Jake Owen spends a second week at #1 as he prepares to have his week at #1. I do think if Sony wanted to they could push âHomemadeâ for a second week at #1 as there is a big gap between Jake Owen and Luke Bryan. Speaking of Luke Bryan he continues to near the top of the chart, and look for either Brett Young or Jordan Davis to enter the Top 5. What is an important note to make is that Jordan Davis is looking to be pushed to the top after Luke Bryan, but I can easily see âCatchâ limiting âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ to a Mediabase only #1.
Maren Morris should spend a final week in the Top 10 with âThe Bonesâ as she gets ready to release âTo Hell & Backâ to radio. Jason Aldean is expected to push as high as possible next week with âWe Backâ, I do not see him hitting #1 but I do think he can make the Top 5, and soon after fall like a rock next week. Gabby Barrett scores her first Top 10 with âI Hopeâ and should sneak past label mate Ingrid Andress who did not have a bad week, just a little outpaced by Gabby Barrett.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got a real launch up this week as âNobody But Youâ should blast just below the Top 10. Also a solid week for Morgan Wallen âChasin Youâ. Slow weeks for the non âNobody But Youâ duets, as all three of Thomas Rhett/Jon Pardi, Luke Combs/Eric Church, and Carly Pearce/Lee Brice, donât gain much traction this week. However Riley Green continues to stick out among the songs in the teens as one of the biggest weak links, and likewise with last week, âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ stands a decent shot of going recurrent this week.
Travis Denning and Kelsea Ballerini continue to be non movers in terms of gains. Also look for Scotty McCreery to finally sneak his way into the Top 20 with âIn Betweenâ. Slow but solid weeks for Eric Church, LoCash, and Carrie Underwood as all three of them near the Top 20. Despite the large age of the song, Michael Ray has a decent week. Justin Moore meanwhile stays pretty much still with âWhy We Drinkâ which gives Maddie & Tae the chance to launch themselves into the Top 25 as âDie From A Broken Heartâ really has a fire lit underneath it now. Also looking strong are singles from Chris Young, Chris Janson, and Keith Urban as all three should probably enter the Top 30, in doing so they have left Miranda Lambert âBluebirdâ and especially Chase Rice âLonely If You Areâ playing catch up.
Sam Hunt should easily blast into the Top 40 with âHard To Forgetâ and also looks very likely to enter the Top 30 next week. Elsewhere Billy Currington is back to struggling after a great week last week with âDetailsâ. After coming somewhat close to going recurrent last week, both Kip Moore and Rayne Johnson have solid weeks, same goes for Jon Langston who should re-enter the Top 40 with âNow You Knowâ, meanwhile Midland and Jameson Rodgers should stay in the Top 40 but neither saw any gains this week pretty much. Also due to the overall weakness in the 40s, Parker McCollum should sneak into the Top 40 as well
Singles from Eli Young Band, Runaway June, Lauren Alaina, and Brantley Gilbert gain pretty much absolutely no traction this week as Dillon Carmicheal, Hardy/Lauren Alaina/Devin Dawson, Chris Lane, and Matt Stell see decent weeks, while country radio seems most excited of singles from groups Old Dominion and Lady Antebellum as both should set new peaks and both have solid weeks as well.
Lastly in the 50s, Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson have great weeks, and not too shabby of weeks from artists like Little Big Town. Singles from Lindsay Ell, Morgan Evans, and Granger Smith remain stuck in the 50s as none look to emerge out of the 50s yet, and lastly look for Tenille Arts, Brandon Lay, and Stephanie Quayle to re-enter the chart.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Sam Hunt âKinfolksâ Maren Morris âThe Bonesâ Jason Aldean âWe Backâ (after next week this song will be in freefall) Riley Green âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ Kelsea Ballerini âHomecoming Queenâ Billy Currington âDetailsâ Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ
Songs In Danger Scotty McCreery âIn Betweenâ LoCash âOne Big Country Songâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Chase Rice âLonely If You Areâ Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ Granger Smith âThatâs Why I Love Dirt Roadsâ Lindsay Ell âI Donât Love Youâ LANco âWhat I Seeâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Jon Pardi âIt Ainât Always The Cowboyâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ Maren Morris âTo Hell & Backâ
Closing Thoughts With the unexpected departure of Florida Georgia âBlessingsâ the charts have really opened up and with Kane Brown entering freefall more spins should be available however I expect âHomesickâ to have more of a âKinfolksâ fall instead of âDive Barâ. Beyond that we still have a lot of weak singles fighting to stay afloat so next week should be interesting to see who survives since âWe Backâ is pushing for the top.
Next week Maren Morris should go recurrent, but it will be interesting to see if anyone joins her in recurrent land. Until next week, bye!

Looking at the chart I think Maren Morris does stand a solid chance of going recurrent this week, and all 3 of Riley Green, Billy Currington, and Eli Young Band all need to re-bullet this next week or they will be sent recurrent. So we could be in for a mini house cleaning this next week.

Every song in chart positions 11-15 look like they all could be future #1 singles. I'd say thru 16 but it looks like radio is giving up on Riley which is a shame.

Gabby - Luke C is a beast of a chart. Not only looking like potential #1âs but legitimate strong #1âs as well (except maybe Carly). Canât remember when we had that many all in a row

New and Active Section Mitchell Tenpenny & Seaforth âAnything She Saysâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ Tyler Farr âOnly Truck In Townâ King Calaway âNo Matter Whatâ Maren Morris âTo Hell & Backâ Payton Smith âLike I Knew You Wouldâ
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Maren Morris âThe Bonesâ Peak: #1 (2 Weeks) Weeks: 30
Commentary Highlights This week is just so dull. Not a ton of movement, on the chart outside of a few giant moves but overall not much.
At the top is Jake Owen with âHomemadeâ spending his week at #1 and look for Luke Bryan to follow next week. Rounding out the Top 5 will be Brett Young and Jordan Davis as it looks like âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ is to sneak pass Brett Young and temporarily Luke Bryan as it should be #1 after âWhat She Wants Tonightâ.
Sam Hunt drops out of the Top 5 with âKinfolksâ as both Gabby Barrett and Ingrid Andress pick up strong Top 10 conversion as both women look to enter the Top 5 once Kane Brown and Jake Owen clear out. Despite having power up adds specifically meant for this week, âWe Backâ looks like it is finally starting to slip off the chart as he should fall back to #9 and will probably leave the chart next week if it free falls. After getting into the Top 15 very easily last week, Blake Shelton/Gwen Stefani should enter the Top 10 with their duet âNobody But Youâ. Remaining just outside the Top 10 is âBeer Canât Fixâ but look for Thomas Rhett/Jon Pardi to probably replace Jason Aldean next week. Morgan Wallen also has an expected great week with âChasin Youâ, while âDoes To Meâ slows down this week. I am also pretty pessimistic about Carly Pearce and âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ as it feels like since hitting the Top 15 the song has been pretty slow in gains. Riley Green should re-bullet but he is still struggling and I doubt he hits the Top 10 on Billboard at least.
Kelsea Ballerini, Travis Denning, and Scotty McCreery continue to struggle, as Eric Church should finally enter the Top 20 with âMonstersâ. Carrie Underwood stands a good chance to sneak pass LoCash âOne Big Country Songâ, that being said it might be a couple weeks before Carrie Underwood enters the Top 20 as I imagine the red-hot Keith Urban should pass her next week with âGod Whispered Your Nameâ. Michael Ray and to a lesser extent Justin Moore struggle to gain much traction with their singles. While newer songs from Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, and Chris Janson have strong weeks especially Sam Hunt as âHard To Forgetâ is off to a very fast start. Maddie & Tae âDie From A Broken Heartâ and Chris Young âDrowningâ hit the brakes after great weeks last week.
I have Chase Rice bounced out of the Top 30 as âLonely If You Areâ backpedaled this week and looks to probably land outside the Top 30. A non event week for Ashley McBryde as she continues to hover just outside the Top 30, while singles from Rayne Johnson, and especially Kip Moore and Billy Currington struggle to keep their bullets as both Kip Moore and Billy Currington are at risk to go without their bullet and in the case of Billy Currington that would mean âDetailsâ would be sent recurrent. Slow but solid weeks for Jon Langston, Jameson Rodgers, Midland, and Eli Young Band and thanks to just a handful of high audience stations, it looks like Parker McCollum will enter the Top 40 with âPretty Heartâ. Just below the Top 40 is Dillon Carmichael, HARDY (Lauren Alaina & Devin Dawson), Matt Stell and Old Dominion as all should be very close in audience. After having their hangover week Dixie Chicks should re-enter the Top 50 as âGaslighterâ is off to a very promising start. The sharp contrast between Lauren Alainaâs Mediabase and Billboard Airplay position continues as âGetting Goodâ should enter the Mediabase Top 40 (so that means CT40 spins) while on Billboard she is probably staying at #49 with a slim chance of passing Chris Lane up to #48 while nowhere near her peak of #42 set a few weeks back. Look for Jon Pardi to easily debut just below the Top 50 with his new single âAinât Always The Cowboyâ and a good week for LANco, as singles from Lindsay Ell, Little Big Town, Morgan Evans, Granger Smith, Tenille Arts, and Brandon Lay continue to not move much at all. With Billy Currington and Kip Moore completely up in the air whether they go recurrent, if one of them goes recurrent look for Parmalee and Blanco Brownâs collaboration to debut and if both go recurrent look for Stephanie Quayle to re-enter with âWhatcha Drinkin Boutâ.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Jason Aldean âWe Backâ Riley Green âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ Travis Denning âAfter A Fewâ Kelsea Ballerini âHomecoming Queenâ Scotty McCreery âIn Betweenâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Billy Currington âDetailsâ Rayne Johnson âFront Seatâ Kip Moore âSheâs Mineâ Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ
Songs In Danger Carly Pearce & Lee Brice âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ LoCash âOne Big Country Songâ Chase Rice âLonely If You Areâ Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ Lindsay Ell âI Donât Love Youâ Morgan Evans âDiamondsâ Granger Smith âThatâs Why I Love Dirt Roadsâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Gone West âWhat Couldâve Beenâ Florida Georgia Line âI Love My Countryâ Maren Morris âTo Hell & Backâ Tyler Farr âOnly Truck In This Townâ Jimmie Allen & Noah Cyrus âThis Is Usâ Mitchell Tenpenny & Seaforth âAnything She Saysâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ
Closing Thoughts A very slow and plodding week, but with Jason Aldean on the brink of freefall, and many songs just struggling to stay alive in Riley Green, Michael Ray, Billy Currington, Rayne Johnson, Kip Moore, and Eli Young Band, I do think the charts can hopefully unwind a bit. WIth FGL expected to debut next week though, we need someone that is not âWe Backâ to go recurrent as well to make a lot of songs move up instead of having the FGL debut cancel it out instead.

A bit of housecleaning that is neutralized a bit by an iHeartMedia debut and a returning entrance.
Billboard Country Airplay Top 60 1. Luke Bryan âWhat She Wants Tonightâ 2. Brett Young âCatchâ 3. Jordan Davis âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ 4-6. Gabby Barrett âI Hopeâ 4-6. Jake Owen âHomemadeâ 4-6. Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ 43-44. Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ (Re-Entry!) 45. Chris Lane âBig, Big Plansâ 46. Lady Antebellum âWhat Iâm Leaving Forâ 47-49. Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ 47-49. Runaway June âHead Over Heelsâ 47-49. Dixie Chicks âGaslighterâ 50-53. Russell Dickerson âLove You Like I Used Toâ 50-53. Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ 50-53. Brantley Gilbert âFireât Upâ 50-53. New and Active Section Adam Doleac âFamousâ Parmalee & Blanco Brown âJust That Wayâ Jimmie Allen & Noah Cyrus âThis Is Usâ Mitchell Tenpenny featuring Seaforth âAnything She Saysâ Payton Smith âLike I Knew You Wouldâ Kelsea Ballerini âHole In A Bottleâ
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Jason Aldean âWe Backâ Weeks: 28 Peak: #6 Riley Green âI Wish Grandpas Never Diedâ Weeks: 33 Peak: #12 Kelsea Ballerini âHomecoming Queenâ Weeks:29 Peak: #17
Commentary/Highlights The dam has broke apart a bit and a housecleaning commenced as three songs in the Top 20 wave the white flag.
At the top of the chart should be Luke Bryan with âWhat She Wants Tonightâ spending itâs week at #1 before freefalling real soon. I would imagine âOne Margaritaâ will be the next single with the summer months soon approaching. Brett Young should fill in the runner up and stands a shot of blocking Jordan Davis âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ which is expected to push to #1 this upcoming week. Jordan himself did have a decent week, but âCatchâ really gained some distance and Gabby Barrettâs âI Hopeâ also closed the gap. I donât think âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ is 100% not hitting #1 but it will have its work cut out this next week.
Speaking of Gabby Barrett she looks to land right in the Top 5 especially if she can get past freefalling Kane Brown and Jake Owen. Both of whom I do think will get another week. Elsewhere in the Top 10, Blake Shelto & Gwen Stefani zoom past Ingrid Andress as âNobody But Youâ is red hot in momentum whereas âMore Hearts Than Mineâ is unfortunately looking like the weak link in the Top 10. Sam Huntâs âKinfolksâ spends its final week either at #8 or #9 dependent upon if Sam Hunt falls below Ingrid Andress. Thomas Rhett & Jon Pardi âBeer Canât Fixâ and Morgan Wallen âChasin Youâ look to have a close finish for the Top 10, I do think âBeer Canât Fixâ will be the last spot in the Top 10.
Luke Combs & Eric Church âDoes To Meâ continues to do very well. Carly Pearce & Lee Brice âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ continues to do decently well but is still not very strong especially as Travis Denning âAfter A Fewâ temporarily passes the duet. Kenny Chesney and Scotty McCreery have decent weeks as well. However with him being at over 50 weeks I still think âIn Betweenâ is on borrowed time. Also look for Carrie Underwood to enter the Top 20 as âDrinking Aloneâ has an absolutely great week of gains, same goes for LoCash to a slightly lesser extent and the final Top 20 entry should be either Keith Urban âGod Whispered Your Nameâ or the new lead single from Florida Georgia Line âI Love My Countryâ.
Sam Hunt âHard To Forgetâ has taken full advantage of the housecleaning as he passes by a good chunk of songs in the 20s, Maddie & Tae âDie From A Broken Heartâ, Justin Moore âWhy We Drinkâ, Miranda Lambert âBluebirdâ, and Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ all look to finish relatively close to each other as the former two have really great weeks while the latter two in particular Michael Ray didnât get a ton of gains from the house cleaning. Chris Janson and Chase Rice both have solid weeks as Chris Young should enter the Top 30 for the third time with âDrowningâ and this time he should be good to stay. Also looking to enter the Top 30 the second time in her career is Ashley McBrude with âOne Night Standardsâ and I would imagine next week it will become her highest charting single.
Below the Top 30, Gone West continues to hang in there just below the Top 30 with âWhat Couldâve Beenâ as it continues to just stay afloat not doing much. Billy Currington should re-bullet as it rallied this weekend but âDetailsâ is still looking weak overall. Kip Moore should also re-bullet, but I do feel better about âSheâs Mineâ over âDetailsâ since Kip Moore does have an album announced. Another song that took full advantage of the housecleaning is Hardyâs (Lauren Alaina & Devin Dawson) âOne Beerâ as the song should easily blast into the Top 40 in the midst of other songs struggling in the 30s in the form of Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ and Jameson Rodgers âSome Girlsâ. Also entering the Top 40 is Old Dominion âSome People Doâ which continues to do pretty well. Rayne Johnson struggled HARD this week, and the main reason being itâs lack of total stations as it does not clear 80 stations on the Mediabase panel whereas a good chunk of the songs around Rayne Johnson sans Parker McCollum are at 100+.
Jon Pardi has an absolute stellar week as his new single nears the Top 40, and to a lesser extent Chris Lane has a solid week. Dillon Carmichael looks to temporarily re-enter, however âI Do For Youâ is still not doing very well overall and I wonât be shocked if it goes back to recurrent next week. Lady Antebellum and Dixie Chicks move relatively slowly while Runaway June absolutely struggles to keep their bullet intact as they get hardly any new spins from the housecleaning. Lauren Alaina had a pretty terrible start this week for âGetting Goodâ but after a strong rally today âGetting Goodâ should be able to keep its bullet and have a somewhat decent week.
In the 50s, besides Dustin Lynch none of the other singles moved much at all, as Luke Bryan should debut on the chart with âOne Margaritaâ.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Jake Owen âHomemadeâ Kane Brown âHomesickâ Sam Hunt âKinfolksâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Gone West âWhat Couldâve Beenâ (yes the album is in June, but this song is still doing pretty poorly) Billy Currington âDetailsâ Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ Rayne Johnson âFront Seatâ Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ
Songs In Danger Travis Denning âAfter A Fewâ Scotty McCreery âIn Betweenâ LoCash âOne Big Country Song Chase Rice âLonely If You Areâ Chris Lane âBig, Big Plansâ Runaway June âHead Over Heelsâ Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Maren Morris âTo Hell and Backâ Jimmie Allen & Noah Cyrus âThis Is Usâ Jason Aldean âGot What I Gotâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ
Closing Thoughts This week was the housecleaning of the chart that was so desperately needed. Next week Sam Huntâs âKinfolksâ is pretty much a lock to go recurrent, and with how unstable songs from Gone West, Billy Currington, Rayne Johnson, Eli Young Band, and Dillon Carmichael are I can see âKinfolksâ not going alone in the songs that go recurrent, also would not be shocked if new singles from Maren Morris and Jason Aldean storm the chart next week

Seems like we will be losing some former #1 hits in the next few weeks Sam, Kane, Jake and Luke) but there also seems to be a lot of older songs on the chart. Should be interesting to see who goes soon. Hoping someone like Ashley McBryde can move quicker through the 20âs and Parker McCollum can move quick through the 30âs.

Commentary/Highlights This week is best defined as many songs stabilizing from last weekâs house-cleaning. Also two singles inspired by the recent Covid-19 outbreak definitely slow the charts down a bit as well.
At the top of the chart should be âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ after taking 50 weeks to climb the chart. Brett Young should easily hit #1 the next week, followed by Gabby Barrett with âI Hopeâ and I would not be shocked if Gabby Barrett spends a couple weeks at the top. Storming into the Top 5 should be âNobody But Youâ by Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani which is a lock for #1 and given how great the sales, streaming and testing, I also think it could be another multi week #1.
Having two absolute mammoth goliaths of hits in âI Hopeâ and âNobody But Youâ has left the other songs around it on shaky ground on hitting #1 and no one has it worse than Ingrid Andress âMore Hearts Than Mineâ as Ingrid has been in the Top 30 for over 7 months and despite strong sales is starting to pale in comparison. Also on less shaky ground is âBeer Canât Fixâ by Thomas Rhett & Jon Pardi, but even though they are on less shaky ground I am also unsure of their chances of #1 on Billboard due to âNobody But Youâ and Morgan Wallenâs âChasin Youâ really surging in recent weeks.
Luke Combs/Eric Church continue to do well and in his 56th week Travis Denning sneaks pass âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ, as the latter while not struggling is starting to lose traction overall. I do think âAfter A Fewâ is on borrowed time but I expect it to last a few weeks and tie or come close to how many weeks âMake Me Want Toâ got (59 weeks), But they are at least aiming for a Top 10 peak for the song. Good weeks for Kenny Chesney, Scotty McCreery, and Carrie Underwood as all should set new peaks. Really surging up the charts by a landslide is Sam Hunt with âHard To Forgetâ and Keith Urban âGod Whispered Your Nameâ as both should enter the Top 20. Hanging in there doing decently well is Eric Church and LoCash with their latest singles but both are put more on the back burner of the Top 20.
Florida Georgia Line has their hangover week as the new song from Thomas Rhett and company, should debut in the Top 25 just below the Top 20. Time will tell how long the song is meant to last but âBe A Lightâ is off to a great start. Justin Moore âWhy We Drinkâ has a great week passing singles from Miranda Lambert and Michael Ray, with a chance to pass Maddie & Tae, however that wonât be as easy as âDie From A Broken Heartâ had a solid week and also in the mix is Chris Jansonâs âDoneâ which really had a great week in part due to countdown spins. Chris Young, Chase Rice, and Ashley McBeyde round out the Top 30, âDrowningâ and âOne Night Standardsâ continue to show great promise while âLonely If You Areâ continues to just hang around not doing much either way.
Below the Top 30 is the same story as Gone West continues to get blocked from the Top 30, and Billy Currington, Rayne Johnson, and Jon Langston remain pretty tepid, as âOne Beerâ sees a setback this week while the new Jon Pardi single and Luke Bryanâs recently released (and expected new single) âOne Margaritaâ surge.
Midland and Old Dominion see setbacks this week, while Matt Stell stays just outside the Top 40. Runaway June hit the gas pedal this week and had a good week of gains but due to Jon Pardi, Luke Bryan, and âBe A Lightâ gaining so much, âHead Over Heelsâ wonât show in terms of chart position. After a mostly solid week, Lauren Alainaâs âGetting Goodâ crashes this week, I donât think Lauren Alaina is out of the charts anytime soon as she is still getting adds but âGetting Goodâ is still stuck in a bind overall. Russell Dickerson continues to show great promise as the Dixie Chicks âGaslighterâ crashes hard this week, as singles from Lindsay Ell and Dustin Lynch pose decent gains, and new singles from Big & Rich and Maren Morris look to push out singles from Morgan Evans (who had a bad week) and Brandon Lay (who did gain but not enough to stay on) as Tenille Arts should come in a bit clutch as she had a decent week of gains herself for âSomebody Like Thatâ to stay on the chart. Songs I see Leaving Soon Jake Owen âHomemadeâ Kane Brown âHomesickâ Luke Bryan âWhat She Wants Tonightâ Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ Granger Smith âThatâs Why I Love Dirt Roadsâ
Songs In Danger Carly Pearce & Lee Brice âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ Chase Rice âLonely If You Areâ Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ Chris Lane âBig Big Plansâ Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ Brantley Gilbert âFireât Upâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Brandon Lay âFor My Moneyâ Morgan Evans âDiamondsâ Jimmie Allen & Noah Cyrus âThis Is Usâ Jason Aldean âGot What I Gotâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ
Closing Thoughts With Luke Bryan and Jake Owen going recurrent next week the charts themselves should be moving a bit more and with Jordan Davis in freefall this upcoming week should give some good gains this upcoming week. I am also curious how long songs like âBe A Lightâ and âStay Homeâ have as both feel very temporary given the nature of both songs. Now with two songs lock to go recurrent I am not really expecting any songs below the Top 10 to give up, maybe âBreak It Inâ waves the white flag but even that I am uncertain about.

Don't look now but we can be in for another housecleaning as I think all 3 of Luke Bryan "What She Wants Tonight", Jake Owen "Homemade", and Kane Brown "Homesick" are locks to go recurrent. Also would not be shocked if Billy Currington "Details" and for Gone West "What Could've Been" go back to recurrent as both have had pretty awful starts this week.
Definitely hoping for more songs to leave as the charts right now are very packed still (it takes over 1 million in Billboard audience to debut which is more than normal as it us usually around 600k to 800k)

Commentary/Highlights This week is a week of a possible mini house cleaning that could turn much larger depending upon how much Mediabase gains and losses translates to Billboard and tomorrowâs update.
Starting at the top of the chart I have Brett Young with âCatchâ as he should pick up his fifth straight Billboard #1. Look for him to begin freefall this upcoming week. In the runner up spot should be new artist Gabby Barrett with her debut single âI Hopeâ, look for her to hit #1 next week, being the first solo female singer to hit #1 with her debut single since Carly Pearce did back in 2017. âNobody But Youâ continues to make great strides as it is all but a lock for #1 and I will not be shocked if the duet spends multiple weeks at #1. Gaining strong Top 5 conversions is Morgan Wallen âChasinâ Youâ as it passes the bit more static âMore Hearts Than Mineâ as Ingrid Andress struggles to find a concrete path to #1 as once âCatchâ begins to free-fall Ingrid will be the oldest song in the Top 10 rotation.
Below the Top 5, âBeer Canât Fixâ struggles this week not gaining much either way. Time will tell if this week is a fluke week or not. Jake Owenâs drops have really levelled off with âHomemadeâ where as last weekâs #1 Jordan Davis âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ is falling and falling very fast, and with Carly Pearce âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ being the only song remotely close to Top 10 levels, Jake Owen should stay on the chart next week. This week will mark Week 57 for âAfter A Fewâ for when it enters the Top 10, and I imagine the song will probably tie âMake Me Want Toâ for most weeks on the chart.
Just below the Top 10 should be Carly Pearce & Lee Brice âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ and given the gap between it and Kenny Chesney (over 900 spins and 7 million in audience on Mediabase ahead) I think next week should be the week Carly Pearce scores her second Top 10 single. Neither Kenny Chesney or Scotty McCreery see great gains this week but due to the amount of space between them and the next batch of songs they should both set new peaks. Carrie Underwood sees strong conversions with âDrinking Aloneâ as she enters the Top 15, and the last Top 15 spot looks to be between either Eric Church âMonstersâ which continues to kind of just hang around not doing much, and the red hot Sam Hunt single âHardo Forgetâ. Decent to solid weeks for both LoCash and Keith Urban.
FGL should launch right back into the Top 20 after last weekâs hangover week. The last spot in the Top 20 should be a very close race between Justin Moore and Maddie & Tae as both âWhy We Drinkâ and âDie From A Broken Heartâ see great weeks. Also having another great week is Miranda Lambert with âBluebirdâ whereas Warner Bros artists Chris Janson and Michael Ray especially struggle to gain much traction. Thomas Rhett charity single with Reba, Hillary Scott, Keith Urban, and Chris Tomlin enters the Top 25 in its second week. Elsewhere Chase Rice looks to sneak pass âDrowningâ however neither Chase Rice nor Chris Young is looking great, as Chase Rice has spent a long time just stuck in the 26-30 range and Chris Young is starting to fall behind on total stations and is not getting many adds of late. Ashley McBryde âOne Night Standardsâ should officially be her highest charting single on Billboard Airplay this week. New group Gone West should finally enter the Top 30 if they fend off going recurrent as they did lose a bit in audience and spins this week. The last spot in the Top 30 is one I do feel very unsure about, but my gut tells me new artist Jameson Rodgers sneaks into the Top 30 with his debut single âSome Girlsâ.
Below the Top 30 Lee Brice iHeartMedia debuts his way on the chart while new singles from Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan really surge. On the other end of the spectrum older singles from Billy Currington, Kip Moore, Rayne Johnson, and Jon Langston struggle to gain much if any traction. Decent weeks for Midland who continues to remain near the bottom of the Top 40 and despite a solid spin increase this week for Matt Stell, the audience gains seemed very lackluster and as such âEverywhere But Onâ looks to fend off the more consistent Runaway June and possibly Eli Young Band as the former of the two is looking for their fourth Top 40 on country radio with âHead Over Heelsâ.
Big & Rich see a very strong week with âStay Homeâ, and to a lesser extent Lady Antebellum gets some footing with âWhat Iâm Leaving Forâ, while Dillon Carmichael and shockingly Old Dominion struggle this week. Parker McCollum is scheduled to go for adds real soon but due to his limited number of stations right now and those stations overall cutting his airplay âPretty Heartâ looks to fall back a few spots. Chris Lane is really starting to show signs of struggling this week as âBig, Big Plansâ has spent the past 3 weeks without an add on Mediabase and this week he struggled to keep his bullet afloat. Lauren Alaina continues to struggle as a good chunk of the week it looked like âGetting Goodâ was gonna be without a bullet but due to a strong rally on Mediabase this week I do expect her to sneak a bullet in and possibly get ahead of Chris Lane.
Maren Morris, and Jason Aldean are off to strong starts with their latest singles, also looking decently strong is Russell Dickerson and Lindsay Ell with their latest singles, as all four artists look to be competing for the last Top 50 spot. After a strong week last week Dustin Lynch falls behind a bit as âMommaâs Houseâ back in the mid 50s. Singles from Dixie Chicks, Brantley Gilbert, and Little Big Town continue to struggle while both Granger Smith and Tenille Arts once again fill out the bottom of the chart.
Songs I see Leaving Soon Jordan Davis âSlow Dance In A Parking Lotâ Jake Owen âHomemadeâ Travis Denning âAfter A Fewâ Gone West âWhat Couldâve Beenâ Billy Currington âDetailsâ Rayne Johnson âFront Seatâ Jon Langston âNow You Knowâ Chris Lane âBig, Big Plansâ Little Big Town âOver Drinkingâ
Songs In Danger Carly Pearce & Lee Brice âI Hope Youâre Happy Nowâ Eric Church âMonstersâ Michael Ray âHer World Or Mineâ Chase Rice âLonely If You Areâ Chris Young âDrowningâ Eli Young Band âBreak It Inâ Dillon Carmichael âI Do For Youâ Lauren Alaina âGetting Goodâ Brantley Gilbert âFireât Upâ Granger Smith âThatâs Why I Love Dirt Roadsâ
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Kelsea Ballerini & Halsey âThe Other Girlâ Brandon Lay âFor My Moneyâ Adam Doleac âFamousâ Dylan Scott âNobodyâ
Closing Thoughts The charts continue to remain pretty fluid and static as it seems like for every week we remove one to three songs from the Top 20, there is always an iHeartMedia debut to kind of neutralize the bottom of the chart. With this week being Lee Brice entering. With so many songs struggling to stay afloat (Billy Currington, Rayne Johnson, Gone West, Chris Lane, and Little Big Town) and one song on a definitive limited amount of time (Travis Denning) I do think we will have a true housecleaning soon.

I wonder if Thomas' single struggled this week because radio is giving the plays to "be a light" instead (well some of the plays).

I have a feeling Ingrid is gonna get blocked by Morgan on Billboard. However I think Morgan will only get one week as I think theyâre ready to release More Than My Hometown as the next single.
