Next week could be a huge housecleaning if things can go a certain way. I have to imagine Morgan Wallen "More Than My Hometown" and/or HARDY/Lauren Alaina/Devin Dawson "One Beer" will go recurrent next week and all of these songs HAVE to re-bullet or they will go recurrent
Dustin Lynch "Momma's House" Jordan Davis "Almost Maybes" Brothers Osborne "All Night" Maren Morris "To Hell & Back" Brantley Gilbert "Hard Days" Little Big Town "Wine, Beer, Whiskey" Kane Brown "Worship You" Robert Counts "What Do I Know"
Now I do expect singles from Kane Brown and Brantley Gilbert to easily rebullet and be fine in the long run. Dustin Lynch I am super iffy on as I don't know how much longevity "Momma's House" as the song has been pretty stagnant for a while. I think Jordan Davis will be fine. Brothers Osborne, I do think could rebullet but with how long they have been in the lower 20s I do think the end could be near. Maren Morris is essentially a zombie on the chart, would not be shocked to see her leave next week but she did get 3 adds on Mediabase. Little Big Town I think will stay around especially since they got 10 adds this week. Robert Counts I think is very likely nearing the end as "What Do I Know" only got 1 add on Mediabase this week and in general been stuck in the 40s and 50s constantly losing traction.

So this is where each of these songs stand after the past 5 days on Mediabase (2 days left in the tracking week). Dustin Lynch "Mommas House" +103 spins and about +220k in audience Jordan Davis "Almost Maybes" +14 spins and about +50k in audience Brothers Osborne "All Night" -20 spins and about -380k in audience Maren Morris "To Hell & Back" +56 spins and about -440k in audience Brantley Gilbert "Hard Days" -10 spins and about +630k in audience Little Big Town "Wine, Beer, Whiskey" 0 spins gained or loss and about 10k in audience Kane Brown "Worship You" -5 spins and about +120k in audience Robert Counts "What Do I Know" +21 spins and about +90k in audience Heading into tomorrow's predictions I expect "More Than My Hometown" and "One Beer" to both be slam dunks to go recurrent, and I would not be shocked if "Famous Friends" temporarily drop out. As for the songs "on the bubble" here is how I would put % wise the chance of them going recurrent Dustin Lynch 0% Little Big Town, Kane Brown, Jordan Davis 1% to 10% Brantley Gilbert, Robert Counts 11% to 25% Maren Morris 26% to 50% Brothers Osborne 51% to 60% With 3 relatively locked recurrents/drop-outs and a potential fourth to fifth at least (Brothers Osborne and/or maybe Maren Morris) the chart looks to finally get a bit of a housecleaning that was really desperately needed for a while now. Better late than never

Comments/Observations Sorry in Advance for how long this is:
This week was a very refreshing change of pace as the charts felt a bit cleared out with 2 singles in the Top 10 going recurrent, an iHeartMedia debut falling back, the Entercom song of The Week falling and no new single to replace it. Add in an overdue recurrent from Maren Morris (I do think “To Hell & Back” has a very small chance of staying on but I put it no higher than 20% likely) and we have a week where the charts are moving around and with some potential recurrents/dropouts next week (Lee Brice, Taylor Swift, maybe Lindsay Ell) the charts look to be ending the year with a bit of a housecleaning.
Let us begin at the top of the chart where for the first time in a while we had 2 songs straight up gun for #1. Those 2 being Chris Lane “Big Big Plans” and Jon Pardi “Ain’t Always The Cowboy”, but it should be pretty obvious that Chris Lane will hit #1 and Jon Pardi “Ain’t Always The Cowboy” looks to settle for a #2 peak, as “Big Big Plans” passed “Ain’t Always The Cowboy” back in late October and never looked back while Jon Pardi was still gaining it was never gonna overtake Chris Lane. Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani begin their descent down with “Happy Anywhere” as they fall at a moderate pace. Parker McCollum stays kaput for this week as he gets ready to max spin next week with his debut single “Pretty Heart” which does stand a good shot of hitting #1 on both charts next week assuming both Chris Lane and Jon Pardi are in freefall next week. Rounding out the Top 5 should be Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” which continues it’s very slow descent down the charts due to its excellent callout scores.
Dan + Shay continue to inch closer to the Top 5 as “I Should Probably Go To Bed” should move up to #7 but the gap between Dan + Shay and Luke Combs has shrunk considerably this week and as such I could see “Better Together” limiting “I Should Probably Go To Bed” to a Mediabase only #1. Speaking of Luke Combs, he and Lady A enter the Top 10 this week passing the much weaker “Happy Does” by Kenny Chesney. For Lady A they really stepped up this week gaining a very solid amount of Top 10 conversions with a chance to at least temporarily get back ahead of Luke Combs. That being said I still think with Luke Combs being so close together in audience to Lady A and the solid chance that “Better Together” will go for multiple weeks it may be wise for Lady A to slow down and wait out Luke Combs. As for Kenny Chesney “Happy Does” is the clear weakest link in the Top 20 on the chart and has pretty much peaked at this point as low sales and poor callout have pretty much stopped this song dead in its tracks.
Outside the Top 10 is Kelsea Ballerini and Darius Rucker with their singles as both look to finish close in audience this week despite “Hole In The Bottle” having a higher amount of spins than “Beers & Sunshine”. Moving up to #13 is Niko Moon with his debut single “Good Time” as he begins to eye the Top 10, unfortunately for “Good Time” this week was not particularly kind to it as it didn’t gain much audience (more than last week) and instead benefitted from the songs dropping out of the Top 10 more than anything it did this week. Chris Stapleton moves up to #14 as Luke Bryan rounds out the Top 15 as “Down To One” continues to shrink the gap between it and “Starting Over”. Thomas Rhett has a great week with “What’s Your Country Song” as he should easily pass the much slower Rascal Flatts and Florida Georgia Line as the latter in particular really struggled to gain much of anything this week. Rounding out the Top 20 re-entering for what I think is the third time is Dustin Lynch “Mommas House” which should re-bullet and fend off going recurrent but it was still a slow week for Dustin Lynch. Also entering the Top 20 for the fourth time and the first time since 2015 is Parmalee with. “Just The Way” with Blanco Brown (who scores his first Top 20) and the song also has a solid passing Dustin Lynch as “Just The Way” continues to take off.
In the 20s, Tenille Arts continues to do pretty well as she nears her very first Top 20 and could get there next week if Lee Brice or Kenny Chesney goes recurrent. Shockingly continuing to pick up the pace is Dylan Scott “Nobody” which seems to have finally taken off. Jordan Davis “Almost Maybes” was another single that was at serious risk to go recurrent this week, and while it does look like Jordan will re-bullet the song still didn’t gain much in audience, and only doing slightly better is Morgan Wallen “7 Summers” however I do expect Morgan Wallen to take off in the new year while I could see Jordan Davis getting lost in the teens. Gabby Barrett has a slow week with “The Good Ones” but I do remain optimistic for this song heading into the new year and I would expect it to do well in the new year. Brothers Osborne should probably remain on the charts with “All Night” but I still think with how long this song has been stuck in the lower 20s the future isn’t bright for it.
The bottom of the Top 30 looks to be a four man race between Sam Hunt “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90s” which saw a setback this week, Miranda Lambert which saw a pretty solid week with “Settling Down” (even if a good chunk of it’s Mediabase audience gains were Westwood One this week), Keith Urban & P!nk “One Too Many” and Eric Church “Hell Of A View” which stayed complacent in audience gains. Dierks Bentley “Gone” was another single that didn’t gain much traction this week and continues to remain outside the Top 30. Jake Owen “Made For You” finally gets some life injected into it at the perfect time as Jake Owen should move pretty comfortably to #33 this week. Taylor Swift continues to struggle in audience gains and has her second bulletless week in a row, with no new adds in the past four weeks on Mediabase I would not be shocked if this is the last week for “Betty”
Taking advantage of this week were the latest singles from Jason Aldean and Carly Pearce as both should comfortably slide into the Top 40 this week with solid gains as both look posed to be future #1s in 2021. Cody Johnson/Reba McEntire stay put in terms of audience but look to get sucked into the Top 40 regardless. Little Big Town have been a bit of a rut these past few weeks and despite getting 10 adds this past week I do think “Wine Beer Whiskey” could go recurrent. That being said I do think even if Little Big Town goes recurrent they will probably be back on the charts soon after. Justin Moore also looks to make his way into the Top 40 in the songs 8th week on the chart.
In the 40s, Priscilla Block sees a soft rebound after falling down to #47 last week, Kane Brown is eligible to go recurrent as he did spend the last 2 weeks without a bullet but I do think “Worship You” will sneak in a bullet. Cole Swindell finally seems to be gaining some traction after spending the past few months doing nothing as he should enter the Mediabase Top 40 this week and saw a solid week. Runaway June couldn’t gain any traction this week and looks to lose to possibly lose their bullet. Entering the Top 50 should be singles from Chris Janson who is finally starting to get somewhere with “Waitin On 5”, Elvie Shane “My Boy” which continues to connect really well beyond its airplay level. Lee Brice also should re-enter the Top 50 with the last spot going to either Robert Counts “What Do I Know” or Scotty McCreery “You Time” with the latter having a lot more potential in the new year.
Lastly in the 50s singles from Caroline Jones and Riley Green should re-enter while Garth/Trisha should finally debut with “Shallow” as Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back” could be on her final week as Lindsay Ell’s WNSH airplay which makes up a very large chunk of it’s Billboard audience begins to get sliced
Songs I See Leaving Soon Lee Brice “One Of Them Girls” Kenny Chesney “Happy Does” Brothers Osborne “All Night” Taylor Swift “Betty” Robert Counts “What Do I Know” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back”
Songs In Trouble Dustin Lynch “Momma’s House” Florida Georgia Line “Long Live” Jordan Davis “Almost Maybes” Little Big Town “Wine Beer Whiskey” Runaway June “We Were Rich”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Jameson Rodgers & Luke Combs “Cold Beer Calling My Name” Larry Fleet “Where I Find God” Lainey Wilson “Things A Man Oughta Know”
Closing Thoughts I am gonna keep my final thoughts short. Very refreshing to see a few songs leave the chart and singles from Chase Rice and Chris Young get setbacks. With new singles projected in Q1 from all types of artists (HARDY, Kameron Marlowe, Tim McGraw, Maddie & Tae, Lauren Alaina) I am excited to see what 2021 holds for the charts as we reach the last few weeks of 2020.
With the Q1 preview expected to come out later this week we should get a good idea of the new singles coming in early 2021 beyond the names I listed.

I am going to say this now so no one is too disappointed, I will only be doing a Top 30 prediction this Sunday due to Christmas music. It is a pain in the ass as a chart watcher trying to track Christmas music especially since the following week the songs will be gone anyway and it is impossible to determine what's eligible and what's not in a year so I figured Top 30 would be a nice safe prediction.
Besides other than the fact that Jon Pardi "Ain't Always The Cowboy" will go recurrent this time next week, the charts are kind of dull right now.

New and Active Section Mitchell Tenpenny “Broken Up” Clay Walker “Need A Bar Sometimes” Russell Dickerson “Home Sweet” Troy Cartwright “Hung Up On You” Ashley McBryde “Martha Divine” HARDY “Give Heaven Some Hell”
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Lee Brice “One Of Them Girls” Peak #1 (3 Weeks) Weeks: 38 Dan + Shay “Take Me Home For Christmas” Peak #37 Weeks: 2 Carrie Underwood featuring Isaiah Fisher “Little Drummer Boy” Peak #48 Weeks: 1 Florida Georgia Line “Lit This Year” Peak #52 Weeks: 1 Carrie Underwood & John Legend “Hallelujah” Peak #57 Weeks: 1
Commentary The Christmas bounce back is upon us and even with that I was able to find one probable recurrent that was not a Christmas tune in Lee Brice hit “One Of Them Girls” which even though it rebulleted it should go recurrent finally since it should probably rank #12 in spins and theoretically leave once and for all. Now since every song gained something this week’s commentary is more gonna be about song positions than anything else.
At the top Lady A should sneak into the #1 for the first of two weeks at #1 with “Champagne Night”. Like I have said before Lady A got such lucky timing for this to hit #1. Now either Luke Combs or Dan + Shay should enter the Top 5 tomorrow as both look to soon eye #1 once Lady A clears out. Kelsea Ballerini should re-enter the Top 10 with “Hole In A Bottle” but I do think she is gonna peak before Darius Rucker and she needs to pass him if he is gonna want that #1.
Among all the songs in the teens almost all look to be a lock for Top 5 if not #1 with the only potential weak link continuing to be Rascal Flatts “How They Remember You” (Dustin Lynch’s “Momma’s House” has held its own during the Christmas slowdown) as while Rascal Flatts has obviously gained this week it’s gains on the non holiday affected days left something to be desired. Tenille Arts or Dylan Scott should be the last one in the Top 20 this week with the other one probably replacing Parker McCollum next week.
In the 20s not a ton to highlight, Sam Hunt “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90s” did have a rather soft bounceback in terms of gains, but nothing concerning yet, and I expect Dierks Bentley to re-enter the Top 30 In the 30s, Carly Pearce should re enter and come back storming might I say with “Next Girl”. Also entering the Top 40 should be Chris Young & Kane Brown “Famous Friends” which is off to a very fast start already being in the Top 40 before going for adds tomorrow. Due to the lesser amount of stations Cody Johnson & Reba should fall back a few spots this week.
In the 40s, Scotty McCreery really got a good Christmas bounceback as he should be back near the Top 40 this week. Also having a solid bounceback should be Chase Rice & FGL, and as such it has left Priscilla Block, Elvie Shane, and Runaway June stuck a bit more in the 40s. The Top 50 should be closed out by two duets with Jameson Rodgers/Luke Combs “Cold Beer Calling My Name” re-entering the Top 50 and Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood “Shallow” entering the Top 50.
In the 50s, mostly a return to original position with Lainey Wilson continuing her climb and setting a new peak with “Things A Man Oughta Know” and lastly look for singles from Ingrid Andress, Riley Green, Larry Fleet, A Thousand Horses, and Lindsay Ell to re-enter the chart due to Christmas music clearing out.
Songs I See Leaving Soon Chris Lane “Big Big Plans” Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere” Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” Parker McCollum “Pretty Heart” Robert Counts “What Do I Know” A Thousand Horses “A Song To Remember” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back”
Songs In Trouble Rascal Flatts “How They Remember You” Brothers Osborne “All Night” Runaway June “We Were Rich” Larry Fleet “Where I Find God”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Russell Dickerson “Home Sweet” Mitchell Tenpenny “Broken Up” Taylor Swift “No Body No Crime”
Closing Thoughts I do have a feeling we will see a lot more single announcements heading into the beginning of Q1 as I would expect new singles officially announced from Parker McCollum, Chris Lane, Lauren Alaina, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton in the next few weeks. In addition to the singles already set in stone that haven’t yet gone for radio adds from Chris Young, Russell Dickerson, Taylor Swift, Jon Pardi, and newer artists Shy Carter, Andrew Jannakos, HARDY, Filmore, and Andrew Jannakos.
The storm is coming as Q1 always has a lot of releases and only the strong will survive. I do think most of the songs in the Top 30 should be fine. While I do think a good chunk of songs in the 30s and below will easily get lost in the shuffle for good.
Next week Parker McCollum should go recurrent, maybe one of Russell Dickerson, Blake/Gwen, or Chris Lane goes recurrent. Maybe Blake Shelton has an iHeartMedia debut. Oh and I do think the Radio Entercom Song of The Week will return
Next week my main focus is seeing how every song does, as besides American Country Countdown going back to the usual Top 30 next weekend (they played their Year End Countdown again this weekend) this next week is going to be natural gains, and it should show which songs radio is excited for heading into this new

New and Active Section Mitchell Tenpenny “Broken Up” Clay Walker “Need A Bar Sometimes” Troy Cartwright “Hung Up On You” Ashley McBryde “Martha Divine” Adam Doleac “Whiskey’s Fine” Russell Dickerson “Home Sweet”
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Lee Brice “One Of Them Girls” Peak #1 (3 Weeks) Weeks: 39 Parker McCollum “Pretty Heart” Peak #1 Weeks: 52
Commentary Now time for the first regular week of 2021, with a couple of recurrents, a couple of returning entries and a bunch of shuffling around on the charts.
Spending a second week at #1 should really easily be Lady A with “Champagne Night”, now I do expect them to begin falling this time next week and I imagine they will fall more similarly to “Pretty Heart”/”One Beer” and less like “Happy Anywhere”/”Love You Like I Used To”. In the runner up spot will be one of “Better Together” or “I Should Probably Go To Bed” with the latter expected to hit #1 next week and the former (“Better Together”) soon afterwards. Singles from Russell Dickerson and Blake Shelton/Gwen Stefani continue to have very slow falls off radio while Chris Lane's “Big Big Plans” is falling at just a high enough clip in terms of spins that I think it will go recurrent next week.
Kenny Chesney “Happy Does” and Kelsea Ballerini “Hole In The Bottle” continue to gain Top 10 conversions as Darius Rucker re-enters the Top 10 and Niko Moon scores his first Top 10 with “Good Time”. Now Niko Moon did struggle but I suspect it was a fluke as a solid chunk of singles tend to have a sudden slowdown around the Top 10, now if “Good Time” keeps on doing nothing in terms of gains then I will be concerned.
In the teens Luke Bryan looks to sneak past Chris Stapleton as both “Down To One” and “Starting Over” should be the next two singles entering the Top 10. Singles from Thomas Rhett, Parmalee/Blanco Brown, Florida Georgia Line, and Brett Young all continue to gain strong and look to be future #1 contenders, while Dustin Lynch “Momma’s House” and Rascal Flatts “How They Remember You” aren’t looking as strong and are probably the weakest links in the Top 20. The last two spots of the Top 20 should come down to Tenille Arts “Somebody Like That”, Dylan Scott “Nobody”, and Morgan Wallen “7 Summers”. I gave the edge to Tenille Arts and Dylan Scott, but it is close. In terms of this week Tenille Arts struggled to gain much, Dylan Scott did okay and Morgan Wallen started the week off slowly but the past 2 days “7 Summers” thanks to the album got a good boost.
Gabby Barrett should set a peak of #22 but “The Good Ones” is not too far off from Tenille Arts, Dylan Scott, and Morgan Wallen and could easily get ahead of the 3 of them next week. Unlike say Jordan Davis “Almost Maybes” which really struggled to gain any traction the good news for Jordan Davis is that there is a pretty sizable gap between him and the songs below him. Eric Church “Hell Of A View” continues its strong climb cutting through the pack passing Brothers Osborne, Keith Urban/P!nk, and Sam Hunt. Keith Urban/P!nk should enter the Top 25, while Brothers Osborne continue to barely stay afloat, Sam Hunt hits the brakes this week, and Jake Owen continues to do pretty well. Replacing Lee Brice and Parker McCollum in the Top 30 should be the re-entry of Dierks Bentley “Gone” and Miranda Lambert “Settling Down” with neither gaining a lot but both should be in it for the long haul.
In the 30s, Jason Aldean started off really poor this week before finishing decently strong as both he and Brantley Gilbert wait outside the Top 30 however due to the fact that Chris Lane is the only song I see going recurrent next week and Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard have an expected iHeartMedia debut, both “Blame It On You” and “Hard Days” are gonna have to wait a bit before hitting the Top 30. After getting 42 adds last week on its add week Chris Young & Kane Brown “Famous Friends” is off to a fast start and while I do expect like Brantley Gilbert and Jason Aldean for “Famous Friends” to not hit the Top 30 I do think it will be right outside the Top 30. Justin Moore and to a lesser extent Carly Pearce continue to build momentum with their latest singles “We Didn't Have Much” and “Next Girl” respectively.
Old Dominion got a great boost this week with “Never Be Sorry” as they and fellow group Runaway June (“We Were Rich”) should neter the Top 40 with Runaway June also doing fairly well this week. On the flipside Little Big Town and Kane Brown did not gain much at all.
Singles from Elvie Shane, Scotty McCreery, Priscilla Block, Lee Brice (shockingly), and Robert Counts stay rather stuck in the 40s this week as Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood “Shallow” continues to do decently well after a very rough start likewise with the new Jameson Rodgers singles. Finally in the 50s, a ton of non movement with only Teddy Robb, Ingrid Andress, and non single from Luke Combs “Forever After All” doing the best. Now I have Lindsay Ell labeled for a potential last week as the main station that is letting her chart (WNSH) has continuously to slowly slash her airplay and “Want Me Back” is on borrowed time.
Songs I See Leaving Soon Chris Lane “Big Big Plans” Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere” Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back”
Songs In Trouble Brothers Osborne “All Night” Robert Counts “What Do I Know” A Thousand Horses “A Song To Remember”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Russell Dickerson “Home Sweet” Mitchell Tenpenny “Broken Up” Taylor Swift “No Body, No Crime” Tim McGraw & Tyler Hubbard “Undivided”
Closing Thoughts Next week will probably be a dud with Chris Lane probably going recurrent and Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard replacing him, along with Russell Dickerson and maybe Taylor Swift (with a good add date tomorrow) debuting next week which will continue to set back the singles near the bottom of the chart (“Things A Man Oughta Know”, “Where I Find God”).

New and Active Section Larry Fleet “Where I Find God” Clay Walker “Need A Bar Sometimes” Taylor Swift featuring Haim “No Body No Crime” Russell Dickerson “Home Sweet” Jon Pardi “Tequila Little Time” Adam Doleac “Whiskey’s Fine”
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Chris Lane “Big Big Plans” Peak #1 (2 non consecutive weeks) Weeks: 59 Larry Fleet “Where I Find God” Peak #57 Weeks: 9 (still being promoted by the label)
Commentary So like I said this week was a bit of a dud especially with not one but two iHeartMedia debuts this week from Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard and Blake Shelton. However this week was interesting to watch for me as there were still a lot of shifting/moving parts this week even if the two iHeartMedia debuts did weigh this week down.
At the top of the chart should be Luke Combs and Dan + Shay battling out for #1, now the fact that Sony is gunning specifically for the Billboard #1 does make me more inclined to think “Better Together” will be #1 but I am not 100% certain either way. Now with this week being Dan + Shay push week, expect next week for the song to fall like a rock given the less than stellar callout. Kenny Chesney should enter the Top 5 with “Happy Does” as he eyes a potential #1 assuming he can wait out “Better Together”. The last spot in the Top 5 looks to go to one of Lady A, Darius Rucker or Kelsea Ballerini with Darius Rucker really getting a surge this week and once again becoming a potential problem for “Hole In The Bottle”. Now Kelsea Ballerini had a solid week but nothing outstanding.
Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere” should spend its last week on the chart as it continues to descend down the chart and should be below the Top 10 in spins and/or audience next week. As I suspected Niko Moon’s struggle last week was a fluke as “Good Time” continues to find its stride, while Luke Bryan rounds out the Top 10 as “Down To One” continues to build momentum and could stand to be a potential threat to Niko Moon.
Entering the Mediabase Top 10, Parmalee & Blanco Brown “Just The Way” has really taken off as it should pass Chris Stapleton and shockingly to me Thomas Rhett “What’s Your Country Song”. Now Chris Stapleton does continue to gain but the gains are very lackluster to the songs around it and I do fear that once Chris Stapleton hits the Top 10 radio won’t convert it any higher, but for now I think it’s fine. Also struggling is Florida Georgia Line “Long Live” but I suspect that it is due to the Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard duet directly taking spins from them. Singles from Dustin Lynch and Rascal Flatts pick up in terms of gains.
However partly due to being Entercom’s Song of The Week, Morgan Wallen “7 Summers” fire has been lit and the flame is white hot as Morgan should easily pass singles from Brett Young, Tenille Arts, and Dylan Scott. Now while not doing as well as “7 Summers” both Brett Young and Tenille Arts did have respectful weeks this week for their songs. Also expect Tim McGraw & Tyler Hubbard to debut in the Top 20 and for Gabby Barrett to also be in the mix to enter the Top 20.
After entering the Top 20 last week Dylan Scott should easily get pushed out this week being a bit overwhelmed by the other songs. I do think “Nobody” is doing okay but if it posts the lackluster gains it did this week than I think “Nobody” could be in trouble. A slow week last week for Jordan Davis is made up this week with solid gains for “Almost Maybes” still maintaining a solid distance from Eric Church and Jake Owen who also are doing well.
For the remainder of the songs in the Top 30, Brothers Osborne is really struggling to stay afloat with “All Night” and I have to imagine the callout scores are the reason this is struggling to gain any traction at all. Keith Urban/P!nk, Sam Hunt, Dierks Bentley, and Miranda Lambert are all doing okay nothing stand out-ish but okay. Out of the 4 I do think Sam Hunt is probably the weakest link of the bunch as his gains are a bit lackluster in comparison
In the 30s, Justin Moore and Chris Young/Kane Brown continue to do well while Blake Shelton debuts, and Carly Pearce and especially Cody Johnson/Reba McEntire struggling. Also due to some big named stations (KKBQ, KSCS, and KPLX)I expect Priscilla Block’s “Just About Over You” to re-enter the Top 40 and set a new peak this week, and lastly look for Runaway June to hold onto the bottom of the Top 40.
In the 40s and 50s there is not much to talk about as besides I guess Garth/Trisha and maybe Elvie Shane, Lee Brice, Jameson Rodgers/Luke Combs, and Mitchell Tenpenny if things shake out just right the rest of the songs in the 40s and 50s are gonna be set back a spot or two. Now because of that they are all kind of blended together and it is hard to tell which of them will last and which are nearing the end of the road with the only indication being the amount of radio adds these songs have gotten the first 2 weeks of the year. .
Songs I See Leaving Soon Lady A “Champagne Night” Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere” Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” Brothers Osborne “All Night”
Songs In Trouble Sam Hunt “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90s” Cody Johnson & Reba McEntire “Dear Rodeo” Ingrid Andress “Lady Like” A Thousand Horses “A Song To Remember” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Jon Pardi “Tequila Little Time” Russell Dickerson “Home Sweet” Taylor Swift “No Body, No Crime” Adam Doleac “Whiskey’s Fine”
Closing Thoughts Next week should be interesting to see as Blake/Gwen are sure to leave and I do suspect that one of Lady A (based on audience) or Russell Dickerson should also go recurrent with them. I also would not be shocked if EMI Nashville cuts bait on “All Night” by Brothers Osborne as it has been struggling for the past few months. Add in the expected iHeartMedia hangovers next week for “Undivided” and “Minimum Wage” I expect a good chunk of songs in the 20s and 30s to set a new peak easily Now at the bottom of the chart, I do think Jon Pardi and Russell Dickerson are locks to debut and I do think Taylor Swift stands a solid chance to sneak in at the bottom of the chart.
Until then I hope everyone reading this has a great week this week!

What is the rule that would let Dickerson fall off the chart from a Top 5 spot? Is it able to because it's not coming off its peak week?

What is the rule that would let Dickerson fall off the chart from a Top 5 spot? Is it able to because it's not coming off its peak week? You have to be bulletless within the Top 5 to go recurrent, it is pretty rare for a song nowadays to leave the chart with the last week being in the Top 5.

Next week should be interesting with no iHeartMedia debuts, two iHeart hangovers, and 3 songs in the Top 10 eligible to go recurrent (Russell Dickerson, Lady A, and Blake/Gwen) should make the charts interesting next week.

New and Active Section Clay Walker “Need A Bar Sometimes” Adam Doleac “Whiskey’s Fine” Chris Bandi “Would Have Loved Her” Ashley McBryde “Martha Divine” HARDY “Give Heaven Some Hell” Caylee Hammack “Just Friends”
Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” Peak #1 (2 Weeks) Weeks: 46 Lady A “Champagne Night” Peak #1 (2 Weeks) Weeks: 39 Blake Shelton featuring Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere” Peak #1 Weeks: 26 Larry Fleet “Where I Find God” Peak #57 Weeks: 10
Commentary While Mediabase won’t have any recurrents tonight, Billboard should see a nice house cleaning on the chart that is very welcomed in my eyes.
At the top of the chart for a second week should be Luke Combs “Better Together”, given the gap between him and Kenny Chesney I do think Holmes will get a third week at #1. I do remain hopeful Combs will block “Happy Does” from #1 especially if Kenny Chesney pushes this next week. Darius Rucker “Beers & Sunshine” and Kelsea Ballerini “Hole In The Bottle” enter the Top 5 this week and both remain very likely #1 contenders once “Better Together” clears out. Luke Bryan should round out the Top 5 entering the Top 5 in his 15th week with “Down To One”.
Parmalee/Blanco Brown, Niko Moon, and Thomas Rhett should have a close finish just outside the Top 5 with “Just The Way” and “What’s Your Country Song” entering the Top 10 both look very strong. After missing #1 on Billboard by just 215k in audience last week the bottom has given out and “I Should Probably Go To Bed” should spend its final week on the chart. Rounding out the Top 10 should be Chris Stapleton “Starting Over” who continues to make inroads on the chart, and I remain hopeful that now this is Top 10 it will go all the way to #1.
After a slowdown due to the iHeart premiere of “Undivided” last week, FGL should be just outside the Top 10 with “Long Live” and looking to be Dan + Shay’s replacement next week. Dustin Lynch should set a new peak of #12 this week on Billboard but I think for the second week in a row the audience gains for “Momma’s House” this week are not gonna be there and I will not be shocked if in the next few weeks singles by Brett Young, Morgan Wallen, and Gabby Barrett. Speaking of Brett Young he has his best week since the new year with “Lady” as he begins to eye his 7th Top 10 single. Rascal Flatts and Morgan Wallen should round out the Top 15 with their singles “How They Remember You” and “7 Summers” with the former still not looking strong and the latter slowed down big time this week due to the effect of not being the “Radio.com Song of the Week”
Gabby Barrett should gain 5 spots this week and “The Good Ones” become her second Top 20 single on country radio and a certain lock for #1 as “The Good Ones” continues to gain well. While not as great of a week as Gabby, Tenille Arts has her best week since the new year as she should set a new peak of #17, I still remain uncertain about the Top 10, but I do feel better now compared to say a couple months ago. Dylan Scott re-enters the Top 20 while Jordan Davis enters the Top 20 however neither song looked particularly great this week in terms of audience gains and more so benefited more from the housecleaning and the distance from the songs under it. With that in mind I won't be shocked if in the next couple of weeks if Eric Church and Jake Owen pass both “Nobody” and “Almost Maybes” as Eric Church and Jake Owen continue to look strong.
In the 20s Miranda Lambert really took advantage of the housecleaning as “Settling Down” should move up to #22 or #23 this next week. Also doing well this week was Sam Hunt’s “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90s” at the best possible time. Brothers Osborne should re-bullet this week with “All Night” but they are essentially on life support and I still think their Top 20 chances are slim to none at this point. Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard “Undivided” suffers through it’s iHeartMedia hangover week following out of the Top 20 temporarily while Blake Shelton actually got a boost this week into the Top 30 due to “Minimum Wage” being the “Radio.com Song of the Week”. Unfortunately for Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban/P!nk neither “Gone” nor “One Too Many” took advantage of this week as both will probably gain a minimal amount of audience this week.
Chris Young/Kane Brown fast rising single “Famous Friends” and Jason Aldean’s latest “Blame It On You” should both enter the Top 30 as both look to be a Top 5 locks if not #1. Brantley Gilbert continues to crawl up the charts not doing much while singles from Justin Moore, Carly Pearce and Cole Swindell close in on passing “Hard Days”. Cody Johnson & Reba McEntire should see a decent bounceback this week for “Dear Rodeo”. Re-entering the Top 40 with a very good week this week should be Priscilla Block’s “Just About Over You” as she re-enters the Top 40 in her 18th week on the chart which is a pretty great start for a female artist not getting OTV.
Runaway June “We Were Rich” hit a near brick wall this week as they lost a decent amount of audience on Mediabase this week (nearly 500k since Monday) I am unsure how much of this will transition to Billboard but it does make me uneasy about this songs future as it hasn’t been particularly strong for a good while now. Elvie Shane eyes his first Top 40 with “My Boy” as either he or Old Dominion should round out the Top 40. In the 40s, Lee Brice rebounds strongly this week with “Memory I Don’t Mess With”, and collaborations from Jameson Rodgers/Luke Combs and Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood continue to show great promise.
Fresh off going for adds last week and specifically KKBQ I would expect Jon Pardi to have a Top 50 debut while singles from LoCas, Teddy Robb, and Michael Ray continue to be complacent and not doing much of anything. Finally in the 50s I would expect Russell Dickerson and Taylor Swift to debut the latter due to KKBQ while singles from Ingrid Andress, Riley Green, and Lainey Wilson have solid weeks in terms of songs in the 50s. Lastly I will not be shocked if Lindsay Ell goes recurrent next week she is looking to spend her second bulletless week in a row and in general there is not much radio interest in converting “Want Me Back” any further
Songs I See Leaving Soon Dan + Shay “I Should Probably Go To Bed” Brothers Osborne “All Night”
Songs In Trouble Keith Urban & P!nk “One Too Many” Cody Johnson & Reba McEntire “Dear Rodeo” Runaway June “We Were Rich” Teddy Robb “Heaven On A Dirt” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Adam Doleac “Whiskey’s Fine” HARDY “Give Heaven Some Hell” Chris Bandi “Would Have Loved Her” A Thousand Horses "A Song To Remember"
Closing Thoughts Next week should be somewhat interesting I would imagine with Dan + Shay going recurrent. I will probably keep a close eye on Brothers Osborne, Runaway June and Lindsay Ell to see if any of the three will join "I Should Probably Go To Bed". With HARDY and zero to all three of Chris Bandi, Adam Doleac, or A Thousand Horses debuting/re-entering if Brothers Osborne, Runaway June and Lindsay Ell go recurrent.

Looks like I was wrong about "Love You Like I Used To" going recurrent as it stayed with just 52 spins separating it from being at #11 and out.
That being said I do think both it and "I Should Probably Go To Bed" will go recurrent, in addition singles from Runaway June, Little Big Town, and Old Dominion have to rebullet or they will go recurrent this time next week.
Stay tuned folks this week should be interesting to track

Commentary/Highlights No commentary this week. Next week I will hopefully provide commentary but this week there was just not a ton here to grab onto.
Songs I See Leaving Soon Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” Brothers Osborne “All Night” Old Dominion “Never Be Sorry”
Songs In Trouble Dustin Lynch “Momma’s House” Rascal Flatts “How They Remember You” Cody Johnson & Reba McEntire “Dear Rodeo” Little Big Town “Wine Beer Whiskey” Robert Counts “What Do I Know” LoCash “Beers To Catch Up On”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Adam Doleac “Whiskey’s Fine” HARDY “Give Heaven Some Hell” Chris Bandi “Would Have Loved Her”
Closing Thoughts Next week is gonna be a tough battle with no songs in the Top 10 falling or if there is one (“Better Together” and “Love You Like I Used To”) it is not falling at a very fast rate for other songs to pick up a lot of spins. There are a few singles that seem to be on fumes (Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, maybe Little Big Town and Robert Counts) but next week I don’t see a ton of movement. Maybe one of those 4 go recurrent but I imagine they will all probably rally.

@ you having Jimmie Allen's new single predicted to debut higher than where "This Is Us" peaked on the chart after it charted for an eternity. That's sad yet hilarious, lol.

Well it's due to being Radio.com song of the week. I imagine next week it will be nearly back off the chart if not off the chart in general

Going Recurrent Or Drop Outs Russell Dickerson “Love You Like I Used To” Peak #1 (2 Weeks), Weeks: 49 Cody Johnson & Reba McEntire “Dear Rodeo” Peak #34, Weeks: 22
Commentary/Highlights This is a week where a lot of spins were up for grabs and as such outside of the usual suspects there weren't a lot of songs that struggled this week.
At the top for a 5th week should be Luke Combs mega hit “Better Together” as the song had just amassed such a lead on its competitors that a 5th week was pretty guaranteed. Unfortunately that means restricting Kelsea Ballerini “Hole In The Bottle” to a Mediabase only #1. Like I have said this week Kelsea Ballerini really ran into terrible timing to try and secure the #1 on both charts, not helping was the rather lackluster run the song had when Kelsea was in the Top 10. Still “Hole In The Bottle” was a pretty solid success for Kelsea Ballerini.
Rounding out the Top 5 are future #1s from Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, and Parmalee/Blanco Brown as all three had very solid weeks on the charts. At #6 is Niko Moon and “Good Time” however I could see Niko coming short of the #1 as his gains since hitting the Top 10 have been lackluster to his peers. Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and new Top 10 entry Brett Young continue to look very strong on the chart while Chris Stapleton “Starting Over” is looking very likely to stall out soon.
In the teens singles from Dustin Lynch, Gabby Barrett and Tenille Arts all have very strong weeks as all 3 begin eyeing future Top 10 prospects. Same can’t be said for singles by Rascal Flatts and to a lesser extent Dylan Scott and Jordan Davis as “How They Remember You” continues to sputter out in the teens, while “Nobody” and “Almost Maybes” continue to get outclassed by faster moving singles. Rounding out the Top 20 should be Tim McGraw & Tyler Hubbard “Undivided” which continues to do well.
In the 20s singles from Sam Hunt and Keith Urban/P!nk see a nice burst of energy while Miranda Lambert’s “Settling Down” struggles to gain much of anything this week while Brothers Osborne continue to barely hang on for dear life on the chart as singles from Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, and Chris Young/KaneBrown continue to do well.
In the 30s, Carly Pearce and Cole Swindell begin eyeing the Top 30 as Dan + Shay go through a mini hangover week. Elvie Shane “My Boy” doesn’t do much this week while Luke Combs temporarily enters the Top 40 with “Forever After All”. Little Big Town and Runaway June should barely keep their bullets this week after being eligible to go recurrent while Priscilla Block saw a very solid week for “Just About Over You” as she re-enters the Top 40 again.
In the 40s and 50s. More of the same, singles from Garth/Trisha, Jon Pardi, Russell Dickerson show great promise, Lainey Wilson hd a very great week with “Things A Man Oughta Know” while singles from LoCash, Robert Counts, Teddy Robb, and Michael Ray continue to not do much of anything one way or the other.
Songs I See Leaving Soon Kenny Chesney “Happy Does” Brothers Osborne “All Night” Runaway June “We Were Rich”
Songs In Trouble Chris Stapeton “Starting Over” Brantley Gilbert “Hard Days” Little Big Town “Wine Beer Whiskey” Teddy Robb “Heaven On Dirt” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Ashley McBryde “Martha Divine” Kameron Marlowe “Sober As A Drunk”
Closing Thoughts Not much more to say Kenny Chesney should leave next week but beyond that I expect a pretty basic week next week

Country radio politics suck. There was no reason after very good play increases the previous week that Kenny couldn’t get one week at #1. Then to drop over 500 spins in one week is totally disrespectful

Country radio politics suck. There was no reason after very good play increases the previous week that Kenny couldn’t get one week at #1. Then to drop over 500 spins in one week is totally disrespectful I mean, country radio politics are the only reason this even got as high as it did. It was a total nonevent single with poor sales, poor streaming, and poor callout. “Better Together,” on the other hand, is a massive hit with great numbers across the board. “Happy Does” never deserved to hit #1 based on all available metrics, and now that it’s peaked, radio should feel no obligation to keep giving spins to a song their audience as a whole clearly does not want.

If pay for play now constitutes a massive hit CONGRATULATIONS Not sure what pay for play has to do with high sales, streams, and callout scores, but I’m sorry this song’s performance has had such a deep negative impact on you.

Next 3 week number 1 predictions
1. Darius (unless the audience gap between him and Luke is very wide) 2. Luke B (according to CCUSA this will be Luke B’s push week so I give him the edge) 3. Parmalee/Blanco (dear god please let this hit #1 and not be blocked)

Commentary/Highlights A new #1 after 5 weeks of Luke Combs dominating is certainly welcome as the charts remain in flux this week.
At the top should be Darius Rucker with “Beers and Sunshine” spending its week at #1. Luke Combs should have a slow descent down the chart as he begins to fall. Parmalee and Luke Bryan continue to remain bunched up together while a surge in momentum has caused Thomas Rhett’s “What’s Your Country Song” to at least temporarily pass Niko Moon's “Good Time”. Brett Young enters the Top 10 this week with “Lady” which has really done well since hitting the Top 30 and should hit #1 soon.
In the teens Tenille Arts really surges as she enters the Top 15 this week as she starts eyeing her first Top 10. While Rascal Flatts struggles per usual to gain any traction this week, while the two superstar duets from Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard, and Keith Urban/P!nk enter the Top 20. Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, and Miranda Lambert all look to finish around anywhere from 7.6 to 7.4 million in Billboard audience as all are just outside the Top 20. Brothers Osborne still struggle as Dan + Shay should enter the Top 30 with one of Justin Moore or Cole Swindell.
In the 30s Chase Rice/FGL struggled as singles by Runaway June and Priscilla Block gained some momentum as Cody Johnson/Reba stayed afloat barely. Jon Pardi has a good week as “Tequila Little Time” should enter the Top 40. Final highlights of the chart include Ingrid Andress gaining some momentum, and the debut single from Caitlyn Smith with Old Dominion “I Can’t” debuting and the followup singles to their first #1s from Parker McCollum and HARDY. Also look for Taylor Swift “No Body, No Crime” to re-enter.
Songs I See Leaving Soon Kelsea Ballerini “Hole In The Bottle” Rascal Flatts “How They Remember You” Brothers Osborne “All Night” Cody Johnson & Reba McEntire “Dear Rodeo” Little Big Town “Wine Beer Whiskey”
Songs In Trouble Brantley Gilbert “Hard Days” Chris Janson “Waitin On 5” LoCash “Beers To Catch Up On” Michael Ray “Whiskey & Rain”
Songs I See Debuting/Returning Soon Kameron Marlowe “Sober As Drunk” Lindsay Ell “Want Me Back” Riley Green “If It Wasn’t For Trucks” Lauren Alaina featuring Jon Pardi “Getting Over Him
Closing Thoughts Sorry not much commentary, just was kind of bored this week watching the chart as it felt like there wasn’t a lot to talk about.
