Looks like a new Lady A single is right around the corner. From tonight's BCU: Whenever there's an add that doesn't mention a song directly I always think the art work has something to do with the title. I know that doesn't always work like that but maybe this one will? Fading or falling something possibly? lol or I'm just over thinkin' things

Hope it doesn't come too soon, like the whole Own The Night era did (imo, of course)! ;) If there's a coming soon ad out already, I'd say it's quite likely that Lady A's lead single comes out either late this month or sometime in February. I'm actually cautiously optimistic for this next album. Charles Kelley said they're 'going back to their roots' and I remember hearing something about a Will Hoge song with him playing harmonica on it. Yep, it was a Will Hoge/Brian Layson penned-tune (he's Dierks' guitarist) called Better Now That You're Gone, if I recall correctly. I'm cautiously optimistic but not getting my hopes up.

I just want it to be good. I can't handle anymore of their corny, Adult Contemporary-bonded, cliché crap-ola that they released from this last era. They need to mix things up some more, starting with a lead single that isn't a snoozefest ballad like "Just A Kiss."

^not sure if one of these are the lead single but Lady A cut "It Aint Pretty" which is a co-write of Nicolle Gaylon and Eric Paslay and also another song Titled "Golden" which is a co-write by Eric Paslay. Here is "It aint Pretty" youtu.be/bWtRpF0OEzI

I also hope Lady A extinguishes their AC-lite, orchestral sound for good; Own the Night had quite a few all-time lows imo. Now that I think of it, though, I guess it wouldn't hurt for them to release a new single some time in the next few weeks since "Wanted You More" didn't make much of a dent on the charts. Maybe this upcoming era of theirs will have better single choices and proper management/promotion.

I went to Country Aircheck's website and you have to register and where do you register at? Does it cost to register?

You can subscribe here and it is free! :) They will send you the Country Aircheck Weekly issue each Monday evening, but you also get Country Aircheck Today on most weekdays, and they also send out the Adds report on Mondays too. Additionally, you can sign up for a separate CA publication called Artist News here, and this one is also free. Oh and in my last post I made an error, it was at the top of today's Add report that I got in my email where it said Lady A's new single would be at radio on the 22nd. The Lady A ad is just a small little one, but here it is:

It is looking like Taylor Swift's "All Too Well" will be the next Country single from the album Red to hit radio, I am waiting til more news or announcement from the label that it is the next Country single before I start a new topic for it.
BTW, "All Too Well" debuts as a Hot Shot Debut this week at #58 on Country Airplay.

^While I'd love for "All Too Well" to be Taylor's next single, I'm not sure it's release is imminent, despite the fact it has just charted. As I said in the "Begin Again" thread, there's only 1 station playing "All Too Well" right now and that's KMLE here in Phoenix...I've heard ATW twice myself KMLE has been known to play other album tracks recently as well.

I would be ecstatic if "All Too Well" gets released. It's hands down my favorite song on the new album and probably one of my 3 favorite T-Swift songs ever. I didn't think it stood a chance at being a single since its so long.

I didn't think it stood a chance at being a single since its so long. Move to Phoenix...it's getting played a LOT on KMLE! :) Also...dang, what a jam-packed month January has been. New singles by Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert, and Eric Church so far, with new music by Lady A and Kenny Chesney on the way. And that's not to mention the more 'up-and-coming' acts with new songs out...Easton Corbin, Charlie Worsham, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Janson, Kip Moore, Train, and Blackberry Smoke. I think there's obvious hit potential with each of these releases--Easton, Charlie, FGL, and Kip in particular but I wouldn't be surprised to see Train & Blackberry Smoke get pretty big hits either. These are all newer artists just breaking through but all have a lot of potential, and then of course the first batch of artists I listed consists of more 'superstar' types so of course their singles are gonna get played as well. Finally, you've got Jake Owen charting several weeks in advance of his February 11 adds date. Looks like we could see some really competitive charts in the coming months. I'd hate to be a lesser-known artist in the 40's/50's on the chart right about now...

Thank god I'm not listening to the country stations here then...although the times I have flipped to it the only thing they seem to play is that crappy pontoon or tornado......one is just as terrible as the other.

I'm not sure if this will actually be a single or not, but AllAccess is listing Ashley Monroe's "Like A Rose" as impacting on March 5. The problem with this, is that March 5 is a Tuesday, and that's the day that the album Like A Rose is scheduled for release. Nonetheless, they do have the song "Like A Rose" up for streaming.

I don't know if this is any confirmation, but I did just see a Facebook advertisement on the side of the page for "her new single 'Like a Rose.'" Supposedly you can get it as a free download if you like her page.

Greg Bates said last night when he was playing that Fill In The Blank will be his next single. I really hope it does well because I love that song, super catchy!

No news on Katie Armiger's next single yet? I'm really surprised they didn't try to get another one going before the album dropped. They have a few good options too so I'm not sure what they're waiting on...

The production has a bit of an unfinished feel based on the clip, but her vocals are great as ever. At any rate, I'd be ecstatic if Gretchen would release a new album this year; it's been too long!

Ah yeah, that's right. I had forgotten about the announcement on her EPs. I'd rather just have a studio album, but at least it'll be some new music.

Good to know they're still going to try with her. I really think she's one of the best females of the last few years, she just needs to have radio catch on to her. I'm hoping that she at least gets an album out there soon, cause while they're sticking with her I don't think they're going to for much longer considering two of her 3 singles flopped hard. ("Georgia Mud" was pulled for unknown reasons so I don't consider it a real flop.)

John Rich @johnrich SO PROUD of @bradleygaskin for writing the first single "POWER OF A LOVE SONG" for X Factor winner @tatestevensctry !! You boys RAWK!!
Hmmm...That's not what we have heard so far about "Holler If Your With Me". I'm thinking John Rich is incorrect, and "Power of a Love Song" is not the first single, but I don't really know for sure, so I'll just leave this here in case.

^I'd actually bet John has a better chance of being right. From what I read about "Holler If You're With Me", it was just going to be a digital release (sort of a buzz single) while they worked fervently to ready something a little more 'lead single' worthy for radio...something with hit potential that could really make a splash.

Yeah, the write-ups I read about "Holler If You're With Me" had Tate quoted as saying that he didn't think it'd be his first single and that they were looking at other songs for radio. "Holler" is just a buzz/promo single, and I have reason to believe that was the intention from the get-go.

Is 1994 going to be Jason Aldean's new single? (I really hope not) I've heard it on The Highway a few times in the past week.

Lois Lewis:
THANK YOU. Radio. Fans. And THE BAND PERRY for another amazing ride with "Better Dig Two". It was a beautiful, magical, 16-week journey to the VERY TOP. Thank you for making "Better Dig Two" the NUMBER ONE SONG in the country for the past two weeks. Album out 4.2.13. New. Single. Shipping. Soon.
...There’ll be a stone right next to mine
We’ll be together ‘til the end of time
Don’t you go before I do
I’m gonna tell the grave digger
That he better dig two

I was gonna love you ‘til I’s dead...
