I know this is only a Canadian release but Autumn Hill has a new single out that's actually their fastest rising single to date as it sits at #20 on the MB Canadian country chart this week.

It's called "Blame". It's the lead single from their yet to be announced sophomore album.

I thought a single would have been released by now but I talked with someone at the radio station here after seeing Windmills tweet this afternoon and he said they expect his new lead single any week now as well, but couldn't get a title.

Even though it wasn't Gold, it's around 200k and the lead single was Gold. So while underwhelming commercially compared to his first project, it was still a moderately successful record.

Pickler is also very involved in the recording process right now, and she tells Billboard that she is very excited about it. "We're going to be ready to launch some music in the next few weeks. We are in the process of mixing and mastering and deciding which one is going to be the single. We've got it narrowed down to a couple, so we'll be making that decision soon."

Warner/Elektra Nashville's Dean Alexander has a new single that's being played on The Highway called "Life Ain't Fair." This one will get a terrestrial release soon as they take the same approach they took with his first single "Live A Little."

I actually like this one quite a bit.

^ I do too carriekins. Light years better than his first single.

Unfortunately I just don't see this being any more successful than "Live A Little." Songs like this are (if anybody's noticed, lol) becoming fewer and farther between at country radio, which is sad. Perhaps if it was 10 years ago it could become a solid top 20 single, but I can't see a scenario where "Life Ain't Fair" is a hit. The reaction they're getting on The Highway will help though and hopefully for Dean's sake the WEA promo team will have more mojo working by the time they have to promote his single to radio.

Jennifer Nettles announced on the iheartcountry festival stream to Bobby Bones that she's about to go back in the studio. She is aiming for the first single to come out this summer and the album to be out in the fall.

The Band Perry are releasing their new single very soon. In an interview with Taste Of Country Nights (detailed at Radio.com) the trio discussed their music is close to being released.

“It’s close, close, close,” Kimberly Perry said. “Depending on which one you ask I say 75 percent there on the song. He says we’re 90 percent there [referencing her brother] … so 80 something? 80 percent. We’re close.”

“We’ve been working feverishly and nonstop, you know,” she said. “We really have never taken time off the road to make an album. We usually have been touring and kind of making it in between dates, but this time we really took a lot of time off to be in the studio and we can’t wait for you guys to hear it.”

“We’re being really crazy about the different collaborations that we’re diving into,” Kimberly told CMT. “We got to hang out with Pharrell a couple weeks ago. He’s like a huge country music fan, and he also really loves what we do with harmony. One thing that we worked on with him was this song where all three of us sing different interwoven vocals on the verse and on the chorus.”

According to a fan who met Luke last night and asked when a new song will be on iTunes he said that Kick the Dust Up will be up on iTunes in two weeks. I assume that this means it will be the new single

Glad to see that the ad in Country Aircheck was indeed Hunter's. I had a feeling. Hopefully the new single can redeem him. Not that Storyline was a bad album, by any means, but it just did not fare well for him, unfortunately.

Has anyone heard anything about a new Alan Jackson single? I know the new album Angels & Alcohol comes out July 17th, but I would have thought a lead single would support the project.

Agreed. Unless he conforms to the commercial market - but I highly doubt EVER seeing that happen. For me, it's not about chart success or sales, but the quality of the music and the integrity of the artist to stay true to who they are. Alan has never shied away from doing that. Just stoked for new music. I didn't end up buying either of the albums he released in 2013: Precious Memories: Volume 2 or The Bluegrass Album. His 2012 release was the last Alan album I purchased and it was so good, so it has been awhile; and I am not patient when it comes to good music.

I always buy his albums. I don't need singles to convince me with him.
