I was just wondering the other day if these guys had fell off the radar and I was going to ask my fellow Canadians on here if they had any news but this answers it lol. I see they have an album called "tilt a whirl " coming out but Wikipedia labels it an "ep". Is there a full album coming? Does anyone have a tracklist? |

Haven't been on in a bit but had a couple questions I need answered lol! First, is Chase Rice dumping Gonna Wanna Tonight for Ride? Second, it's been confirmed no new Luke Bryan single at the ACM's so when will his new single come out you think and will "Games" start climbing and be a top 10 hit? Lastly, any news on Randy Houser or Jake Owen's new lead singles?! Thanks I appreciate it! |

That Chase Rice song is about the raunchiest thing I have ever heard on country radio. I have been hearing it on the local stations. Sounds even dirtier the way he sings it. Blech.

Chase Rice's "Ride" isn't an actual single - it's been getting played on The Highway and apparently a few other terrestrial radio stations have been giving it some unsolicited airplay, but I don't think there's any way that Sony would release the song as a single - it just wouldn't work at radio.
It's an absolutely disgusting song, probably the worst thing I've heard (again, I hate to say "worst ever", but it's absolutely terrible). It creeps me out...the song lyrics read as if the woman is just a sex object and not actually, you know, a woman. I have virtually no respect for Chase Rice.

Wow, I haven't heard that song from Chase (although I did see him open up for Kenny Chesney and he may have sang it then, but I saw that as a prime opportunity to go to the bathroom and get a beer) but I literally have no idea what is appealing about this guy at all. He's not a good singer, his music is atrocious, and he's not even good looking (imo). I really, really hope that he fades away really quickly.

Is Chase Rice's song actually a cover of SoMo's song? I knew only of SoMo's before blueguitar posted the lyrics and I actually like the song sang by SoMo for what it is: an R&B sex jam. I won't even bother listening to Chase Rice's version, I'm sorry |

^Chase's version is a cover of SoMo, yes. While I respect everyone's opinion on here, I don't find the song to be disgusting one bit. The song is about passionate love-making, but just in more of an extreme, dominatrix style. I don't imagine he's singing the song thinking the girl has no say whatsoever in the act of sex. I simply imagine it's a scenario where the girl wants the man to take control, which happens more often in sexual encounters then one might think. I could definitely see why some might not like the song though, the lyrics are quite edgy, and honestly there's nothing country about it.

Haley Georgia's "Ridiculous" is playing on Sirius/XM's The Highway right now... please please please let this be a joke and not a real single... They started playing it during Easter weekend and right now it's just a Sirius/XM only single. I still have a real hard time seeing it be her debut on terrestrial radio. |

A story I heard first hand from a girl that he tried to hit on after a gig (kept texting, calling, etc.) makes me believe that the lyrics to this song isn't too far from the truth. I know people here can be close to PD's and I don't mean this literally but any program director or member of the Highway that plays this song without their life at risk should get out of the business. This is just plain awful. It's lower than Haley Georgia's song and an utter disgrace that any terrestrial station would play this. Would also like to add that the lyrics got my blood boiling with this clown. I went to his twitter (glad I don't have twitter) and he had this written "Goosebumps watching Kenny sing "there goes my life". Can't imagine how whipped I'd be if I had a little girl." I almost want to say that as a country artist he should know the meaning behind this song to not bring this up. I guess this tweet shows me his utter disrespect/lack of knowledge of the songwriters and artists before him. He absolutely has no clue Wendell Mobley wrote this as a tribute to his daughter who he had when he was a teenager (and she died at 1 years old). It's cringeworthy that he would post something like this and further confirms he has absolutely no respect or sensibility to those that paved the path before him. I have never wished less success on an artist than him. |

Chase said on the ACM red carpet they are shooting a video in a few weeks for Ride. It'll be sent out to radio but they aren't pushing it one way or another, just where ever it lands - country or top 40 - is up to radio. They aren't going to force it just they are surprised at how much it's being played and how well it's selling on itunes. Came across to me as they are trying to capitalize on that. As for Jake, I feel like I heard him said a new single will be out soon, maybe next month or June. I can't place where I heard that but something new is coming. |

Luke's new single may come out the week of 5/17. Carson Daly dropped a subtle hint that Luke Bryan may appear on The Voice finale (5/19), so it's possible he could world premiere his song on TV finale. There's also the Billboard Music Awards on 5/17, so that's another opportunity for an A-lister to world premiere his new single.
