So Style officially falls 5-11...yikes! And wow @ how slowly UF is declining! I think at this point it might be guaranteed year-end #1...it's hard to imagine another song performing that well (unless SYA or something else is going to be the Blurred Lines or Dark Horse of this year...)I think UF might be the one! It spend over 20 weeks on the chart before going recurrent and a lot of weeks in the top 5/top 10 and 6 weeks at #1. Of course it's still too early in the year to be certain about anything...also boo at "Earned It" slowing down :(

Going from triple-digit gains to having a day with no gain at all will tend to do that. It should have no trouble trading places with Ellie next week, though.

And yes, See You Again will almost certainly be next after The Weeknd. Probably the only other one that could is Shut Up and Dance, but that would need to go full-throttle to the top and not stop until it gets there, which it hasn't been doing. Conversely, SYA would need to let off the throttle long enough to allow SUAD to get there, and that hasn't been happening, either.

Also, Jason's the next bullet after The Weeknd, but he's much too far away to get there next at the rate he's going. He's 3700 spins and change away, with SYA only a bit more than half that away from him.



On another note: Where the hell did that +86 for "Truffle Butter" today come from?

Ghost Town has jumped over both of those songs as well as When the Beat Drops Out on the all stations top 50 chart and is at #50 today per all access....but I'd guess a good bunch of its spins are from unmonitored stations, given that Kings has appeared on the monitored chart already and GT hasn't. But it is possible that it has passed one of those three on the monitored chart (although very unlikely that it passed Kings)

Would it be the highest-peaking song to get purged or have there been other songs to reach that high and fall below the top 40 before 20 weeks?

Somebody (I think Austin?) loves telling the story of Hold It Against Me, the only Top 3 hit to date to be purged. FFS only made it as high as #6, which while awfully high for a purge is not quite a record. Not even sure if it's second place, I've seen quite a few Top 10 hits get purged in the past year (although they are still the minority).

I think it's an advantage for SUAD to be passed so soon. I think their probabilities of being number one will be higher than if they were able to hold SYA till they were in the top 5.
SYA is going to be the next number one after Earned it, but i doubt it will be there more than four or five weeks.
