I'm just wondering what the setlist will look like. I know Carrie can sing anyone's music, but Steven, not so sure. He might just surprised us all.

I'd bet GG is in the setlist. They'd be stupid not to debut it on a platform like this.

I don't know, I can't see them debuting it in a duet setting if the song itself is not a duet. It might give people the wrong first impression of the song.

I'd be shocked if they don't find a way to incorporate it. They can shove his ass with her backup singers and he can sing harmony on the chorus or something.

I saw that "Proud of Carrie" was trending on twitter and I thought for sure that something had happened...but no. Oh well, it's cool that she was trending worldwide randomly, though.

If they really want to incorporate it, I'm sure they could find a way. That said, I'm going into it not expecting it, but I will be pleasantly surprised if we do get to hear it. Less than a week to go!

23 days!!!! Or only around 33,000 minutes or 560 hours or a little over 2 million seconds until the 23rd! Though it could be much less than that if it is released before that.

www.keepinitcountryblog.com/2012/01/carrie-underwood-single-premiere/#.TyfxS3Qm1SU.twitterCarrie Underwood fans might be getting a little surprise this week. Sirius/XM’s The Highway station reported yesterday during a Nashville Flash segment that Carrie will be debuting her new single “Good Girl” during her CMT Crossroads episode with Steven Tyler this weekend. Her episode of the series, which pairs two artists of different genres together, airs live on February 4th at 11 pm EST. Carrie’s new single is a co-write for the Oklahoman superstar, who teamed up with songwriters Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley. They previously worked together on Carrie’s “Don’t Forget To Remember Me” and “All-American Girl.” Her new single will be sent to radio on February 23rd, 2012. Hmmm ;) I don't know about this. If she debuts the song here, surely they are going to be ready to send it to radio the next day or at least not three weeks later.

Part of that makes sense, but part doesn't. As mentioned above, they'd be stupid not to use this platform for debuting a single. However, why set the single release date three weeks later? If this is true and she does sing "Good Girl", I think the 2/23 date was a date set to deceive the fans from trying to get their hands on the single early. In other words, the label set the date so far back to avoid a leak. Carrie sings the song Saturday, that way everyone hears it from her first. Then on Monday, or sometime the week after, they send it to radio in sort of a "surprise attack". So "Good Girl" will climb like crazy due to the shock of it being out, but it will not have officially leaked. Get what I'm saying?
If this happens to be the case, I think the move is genius!

So will Steven Tyler sing backup vocals on the song, then? I still don't think it would make sense to debut the song as a duet if it's not a duet. But to not include Steven at all would be strange considering the point of the show is to collaborate.

I think her debut performance of it will be on the Grammys... They can use this as a hype-builder, then release that Carrie's debuting her single at the Grammy's the following week. And you never know, having it right before the Super Bowl might have a lot of people hoping for a Carrie/Steven Tyler halftime show next year or something...

Carrie Underwood's 'Good Girl' won't get Crossroads debutFans hoping to hear Carrie Underwood perform her new single Good Girl on Saturday's CMT Crossroads episode with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will have to wait a little longer. "As of right now, she is not scheduled to sing her new single on the show," a CMT spokesperson tells USA TODAY. Several websites have reported that the singer would use the show, which airs live from Indianapolis Saturday night (11 p.m. ET, CMT), to debut the first single from her forthcoming album. Good Girl is scheduled to go to country radio Feb. 23.

Stupid. Really, really dumb.
EDIT: However, the "as of right now" is interesting...

I really don't think we'll be hearing "Good Girl" before the 23rd. The fact that it's being released to radio on a Thursday tells me that the label has some incredible mid-week promo lined up.
Anyway...Carrie posted in a couple of threads over at the FC message board earlier today. 1) She'll be attending the GRAMMY Awards. 2) There are no 'mushy gushy' love songs on the forthcoming album, there are some 'sweeter' songs, though.

Judging by her response at the OFC to the Grammy question, it looks possible that she'll do more than just attend. That's just my interpretation though, take it with a grain of salt, people.

Yeah I agree with you guys that she is definitely not telling us something about the Grammy's. She wouldn't have replied in that way if she was only attending or if she wasn't attending. I'm really hoping for the debut of Good Girl! That would be epic and would help the single sell a ton in it's first week if they put it on iTunes the next day.

It would be a huge surprise if she were to perform at all. As much as I'd love for GG to be debuted at the Grammys, I don't think that'll happen. If Carrie performs, it'll probably be part of a tribute or group performance. I just don't see them giving Carrie her own slot to debut her new single over other potential performers. With that said, I wouldn't mind any Carrie performance and a GG debut would basically kill me.

I'd actually be a bit surprised if she simply attended and didn't participate in the show at all, even if just as a presenter. However, I feel like a GG Grammy debut may be too much to ask/hope for, so I'd be thrilled with any kind of performance, even a group medley or tribute sort of thing.

In all honesty, I wouldn't be shocked if Carrie got a performance slot to debut GG at the Grammys. I think there's a decent possibility, and I have even more confidence in saying that now than I did originally now that Carrie made that comment over at the OFC.

What did Carrie say about attending the Grammys? Did she drop hints or was she being mysterious about something?

^ when asked about attending/performing/presenting at the Grammy's she replied you never know. Which in Carriespeak usually means yes I'm going and something else is going on that I won't tell you about.
I hope it's the debut of GG.I think we've got a shot at it anyway.Small shot ,but a shot.

^ Thanks! Yeah, sounds like a good guess. If she's not attending or if nothing is happening, Carrie would have shot down the speculations straight away.

When will the Grammys have announced the performers? It's only in 12 days!

^ No idea. Does anyone know how many days prior to the Grammys was the last performer announced last year?
