From what I can hear in the clip, it sounds more rock than Country. It gives a better chance of crossing over, but you risk losing some Country fans. If she didn't lose any fans over "Undo It" and "Cowboy Casanova", I doubt she'll lose any over this. If this crosses over, good for her. Will this be available to listen to at midnight?

^That's what I'm wondering. Will the audio be posted on her official website or somewhere for us to hear, or will it only be sent to radio and we will have to find a station that's gonna play it?

I think a lot of her country fans like the rock vibes in Carrie songs and actually became 'country' fans because of it...I think Carrie's been pretty clear about crossing over, if it does on its own then great but she's not going to make any changes to assist that cross over....

Yea, you've gotta like her intergrity, even at the loss of radio play and cd/digital sales. Others like Taylor, LA, even The Band Perry have tweaked their songs for pop consumption. Why Carrie doesn't do it, I'll never know, but I gotta give her props for her decision.

I'm more of a rock fan than a country fan; however, I wasn't feeling that clip very much. We'll see.

Why is it that people are actually thinking that they'll upload Good Girl to Carrie's site at midnight?? They never said they would and it hardly sounds like something they would do... the song is released to radio at midnight and that's it, as far as we know...

You could be right, but the countdown they have posted seems to imply they'll post it at the site... I hope they do, because I'm really not in any mood to sit around all night and listen to low-quality radio spins. So I'm hoping they'll have it up for me to replay all night! :)

What's more disturbing to me is that at least 3 major radio stations have now tweeted that they'll be getting/playing the song on Friday. 1 would have been an anomaly, but 3? Now I'm wondering if the song won't be released via Play MPE until Carrie has performed it live on the Sony showcase aboard the General Jackson showboat on Thursday night. But then the countdown would be useless/deceiving. I hope the countdown is correct to the second (and not just to the day) and the radio stations just got their info wrong.

I've never heard of a countdown that counts down to when a song will be released to radio. Kind of anti-climactic. They better have the song up on her official youtube or her site, or wth were we counting down?

I can just imagine the official website countdown hitting zero and all the sudden a note pops up: "Listen for 'Good Girl' on your local radio station later today!"

I can just imagine the official website countdown hitting zero and all the sudden a note pops up: "Listen for 'Good Girl' on your local radio station later today!" That would be absurd... I would be really pissed if I had to go and listen to different radio stations to hear a song... I'm positive they'll post it on the site and/or post it on Youtube as soon as the time comes. Carrie has been very active on Youtube lately. There's no reason why they wouldn't post the full song on Youtube as well. Most of the promotion for the song has been through Youtube. It would be like Target commercials promoting a product only available at Walmart for a limited time, it wouldn't make sense. The song has been promoted through Youtube, therefore, I'm almost certain it'll be posted on Youtube as well.

I think they'll definitely post it on the site and upload it to youtube right at midnight. Getting closer.

According to: Streaming link is: KWENETA: Nothing on the website, nothing on this radio station. That countdown was BS.

I don't see it. lol I should have listened to you guys. I still don't understand why one would count down to 0 when nothing actually happens.

Looks like Carrie's team had Good Girl so under wraps they couldn't even unwrap it in time.

I don't understand why they'd put that countdown there and then not do anything. Do they seriously think that none of her fans would notice it and spread it like wildfire? So why the countdown if we don't get the song? It makes no sense.
I'm listening to that Tulsa station right now. George Strait is playing. Maybe they'll play "Good Girl" soon. Something HAS to happen.
