August 6th 2021 Rock-Related New Album Releases
- Night Ranger - "A.T.B.P.O." (Hard Rock, AOR, Pop Rock)
(similar to Ratt, Journey, REO Speedwagon, etc)
Night Ranger - "A.T.B.P.O." (Hard Rock, AOR, Pop Rock) (similar to Ratt, Journey, REO Speedwagon, etc) LOL! someone needs to listen to more Ratt. I'll give you Damn Yankees before I give up Ratt Anyway great album on Frontiers Records. Full of Arena Rock wonders with a little Southern Rock vibes thrown in. Not too many ballads this time. It came out on my B-Day. Stand out rockers include: "Breakout" "Bring It All Home To Me" "Dance" "Monkey" (Songs about vices always rock.) Brad shreds hard. "Tomorrow" (Arena Rock perfection) "Cold As December" "Savior" Bonus track #12.

Correction: Last FM needs to listen to more RATT. Although Night Ranger have been known to hit a few Blues Rock chords. So has RATT, so maybe that's where they come together.

I have gotten that chance, but I can imagine how crazywild the crowd would get. Looks like they have a new bass player as The guy that looks like Anthony Kiedis "Silky Pockets" replaces Lexxi Foxx which kinda sucks cause Lexxi took their Glam look over the edge. One of my favorite songs is their cover of Aldo Nova's "Fantasy". Michael's screams are up there with David Lee Roth. Then there is this classic feat Corey Taylor.

I don't know if any of you have heard of this Corey Taylor and Machine Gun Kelly beef that is going on, Personally I side with Corey only cause MGK appeared to be intentionally provoking him.

Machine Gun Kelly rightfully faced backlash from these Slipknot fans at the Louder Than Life Festival last night, That's just what happens when an entitled idiot like MGK talks s**t about Slipknot. I would love to see Megan Fox leave his sorry ass, Like she deserves someone so much better than him.

I have been viewing Professor of Rock on youtube for a while now. He is a storyteller of sorts covering all our favorite bands, and songs of the 70's and 80's. I invite you to check out his videos full of intelligent comments, reviews and fascinating stories. Sometimes even with interviews. In this video he covers my favorite band of all time spotlighting on the song "Just What I Needed" including the famous story of the self promotion gimmick Ric used to get the song on the radio without even having a record label. It's about time someone did a spotlight on the best Rock n' Roll band ever.

If you follow my new rock album release lists, you'll know that I'm really really behind. The last one that I posted was from August 20th. As I've currently been working on August 27th for the last few hours, I've realized that I unfortunately don't have the time to work on these each week anymore.
It's disappointing as I really enjoy working on these lists for not just you all, but for myself too. I've found so much new music from doing my research each week over the last few years of making these.
It's possible that I come back to making these in the future when I have more free time to do so, but for now I definitely encourage searching on your own each Friday. Most sites have options to go back and look at previous weeks new releases.
Here are the sites below that I use to look everything up each week: FunkySouls.org chorus.fm Metacritic Wikipedia New Album Releases Consequence AllMusic
Also, I use RateYourMusic.com (RYM) to find out genres and last.fm and Spotify to look up similar artists
Thank you to any of you that read these each week. I hope that you found them as beneficial as I did :)

I strongly agree with Mike Shinoda rejecting the idea of a Chester hologram, I also honestly think that Mike is fully capable of moving Linkin Park forward, If they ever end up releasing an album again.

91x was not as bad I imagined it being. No AJR ,only one Billie Eilish song, and I didn't recognize any of the songs as being those tiktok travesties. In short not many of the songs on their list feature "those hi-hats". I wonder if 91x is getting back to basics

for fans of Heavy Metal vibes. I could have given it to 10 different songs throughout the 80's, but I found the majority of the picks to be pretty consistent with it's theme. Do you guys agree with these picks or is the poster a fan of certain bands?

Do you guys agree with these picks or is the poster a fan of certain bands? Yeah I agreed with the majority of these Metal picks for each year since 1968, There are certain years however where a certain Metal song honestly felt bigger than what was ultimately picked as the biggest Metal hits for those specific years in that Video, For instance 1996 should have gone to "Until It Sleeps" since this actually feels like it was the most popular Metal song of that Year instead of "The Beautiful People". Also 2013 should have gone to "Hail To The King" since that definitely feels like it was the most popular Metal song of that Year especially when compared to the supposed 2013 pick "God Is Dead?"
