Not at all worried about the opening week sales of the song. LLWD sold 24k its first week and then went on to sell over 1.5 million. His fanbase is small. This is not news.
Only thing that will get me to start worrying is if a few more weeks pass and there is no visable radio promo, or if this starts going in the negative direction.

They need to promote him like a NEW ARTIST. Sometimes these labels look @ these Idol kids and say, "oh they have a fanbase, no need for that initial promo." He needs a radio tour and an Idol performance!

Both Kris & his manager Lane tweeted tonight about some exciting news being announced tomorrow. So stay tuned. You can already see pop up ads about the single showing up on various websites today. So it looks like his promo is starting.

So it looks like his promo is starting. My guess is it'll be the album title and/or release date (which is rumored for May 22, I believe. John Mayer, Kimbra, Haley Reinhart, and Kris? Niiice).

Will the physical CD count as one track or two (standard + remix) in the charts?

This is good! I'm glad that he's back. His debut album was great and I love his voice. It'd be great if this could be a big hit for him. Its been a long time now since LLWD.

RCA needs to promote Kris & this song. So much potential to be a Top 10 smash.

I love that song so much but on the other hand i am dissapointed in the way RCA handling the promotion so far ,they should have spend their money on radio play speically on CHR stations rather than putting ads of the song on radom websites , it seems to me like the reason they haven't set top 40 add date for the song is that they want to see how far it will climb at HAC charts by itself but from this week adds ,the future doesn't look bright for VOL ,i hope they step it up in the coming weeks speically that the album will be released in May .

That cover is fantastic. Kris said in the EW interview a few months back that all he wanted for his album cover would be to have a picture of him & his dog, rather than glam it up. Glad he got what he wanted. :)

Love this!!! Very catchy, and it should be a hit! Him(and Adam)both need more promotion. The idol buzz is over...now the record company and management need to start pushing.

That cover art is awful lol. Hoping they put the remix up on itunes/amazon because I don't want to have to get a physical single from walmart.

After thinking about the cover art it occurred to me that it is a good example of the obstacles that Kris is facing. He has great music, and sings with a lot of soul and passion, but people see him as someone who isn't a mainstream artist. The cover art has Kris making a bush the center of attention, and while Kris' fans see that as him being humble and the bush representing something that's important to him, others see it as someone who doesn't deserve. want or isn't ready for the spotlight.
The picture sums up why he doesn't get asked to appear at a lot of major events, and why he couldn't capitalize off of the success of Live Like We're Dying. And why people tend to overlook him, and write off his music without listening to it.
I don't think the cover will hurt Kris, even though it reinforces the less than positive image that some people have of him.
I just wish that Kris and his management would address this by getting people to listen to TVOL remix, and working harder to address his image problems.

I actually really like his new album cover. There's a really classy look to the whole thing, from his clothes, to the background, to the fonts, that I think works really well.

They should've just kept the album named 'KRIS ALLEN' and gotten rid of the other title.

How perceptive. I'm sure that this is based on all of the spins and adds that his song has gotten, as well as how well TVOL is doing on Itunes with his hardcore fans.

I don't think that the bush is the focus, it's plain and uniform, as a background should be, and doesn't not distract from the subject, Kris (with his dog).
