Don't forget "Can't Stay Away". I still don't know why they killed it all off by sending "The Truth", which is a nice song, but a slow ballad. Well, that's in the past. Good luck to him now. i feel like to have the truth recorded for him a deal was made to have it as the 2nd single

So I guess the thread should be renamed to "The Vision of Love"? LOL there are now three names floating out there - Mediabase lists it as "Vision of Love" and BMI & Harry Fox show the name registered is "Stand For The Vision of Love".
I think TVOL is the best choice to be honest. And Kris and his roommates are adorable as usual in the video.
March 26th though? Gah, surely they'll move that up? Maybe they want it to have a presence on radio before releasing it for sale? But damn, I'm disappointed I can't have the HQ studio version before then. Adds in late March, then?

I agree that his first album was great and I also agree that Before We Come Undone was one of the best. However, I love Vision of Love and I hope it becomes a huge hit on many different stations. It's HAC, Top 40 and Dance.
I was at The Mint a few weeks back where Kris debuted several new songs. Every which one of them were really good and a few were definitely airplay worthy.
The song he didn't debut, My Weakness was another great song. Too bad there is no such thing anymore as an A side and a B side.

I'm leaving it as-is for now since that's what Mediabase and FMQB list it as; will change if need be.

I really like the remix. Not feeling the studio as much. But I see it doing well on HAC.

Adds date on the 20th please. For some songs and artists, an adds date is just a formality. I think this song will be a slow grower on radio with a few stations jumping on board each week. Some of the major stations that are often the trendsetters should hopefully add this one.

Disco Cowboy did you forget that Kris already has a connection to the Clear Channel Stations with the Donors Choose campaign that is using TVOL in his PSA spot. He is also was supposed to do some press for them related to the charity drive.

I wonder if there will be a b-side or additional version(s) on the physical single? I'm still a physical CD singles person for certain artists. I would gladly purchase it. Disco Cowboy did you forget that Kris already has a connection to the Clear Channel Stations with the Donors Choose campaign that is using TVOL in his PSA spot. He is also was supposed to do some press for them related to the charity drive. I didn't think of them using that connection for that, but it would make sense to do so.

This is very strange song. I like the beginning. But the further it goes, the less I like it. It sounds very Eurovision to me.

Toby Knapp: KRIS ALLEN: Officially Announces New Single With Video! "While he was not present in LA for the IDOL Top 13 festivities, sources connected to the show and 19 Management have alluded to his presence in an upcoming Idol - possibly even the upcoming Idol finale in May. His video brings to an end months of waiting for fans who have 'known' but 'not known' what the Idol's plans would be while his label, RCA and more finalized work on his forthcoming CD." www.hot995.com/pages/toby.html?article=9847031

This song won the weekly Last Song Standing challenge on WSTW, which is a CHR station in Wilmington, DE, so it has gotten (at least) 5 Pop spins this week (that we know of). It also got spun at least once on a non monitored Top 40 station in Wisconsin.

The label/management really needs to sex up his image. He should take advantage of the things at his disposal.

The label/management really needs to sex up his image. He should take advantage of the things at his disposal. He has had a mostly wholesome image so far. He can sing, write, play guitar. He doesn't need to take off his clothes to get attention. I mean, he is really handsome and sexy, but he doesn't need to do that.

I think that was more of a personal wish rather than career advice. It's not, in fact. He has had a mostly wholesome image so far. He can sing, write, play guitar. He doesn't need to take off his clothes to get attention. I mean, he is really handsome and sexy, but he doesn't need to do that. Right, and the results have been record-breaking, huh? A runaway success story for the ages. Yes he can sing and play etc. I know this. I'm a fan. But like revelry says, it doesn't have to be anything extreme. He doesn't have to be running around his video in a Speedo, I'm merely saying his people need to take advantage of the fact that he's an incredibly marketable and handsome guy. Whether it be a few higher fashion magazine spreads, some edgier artwork, a more provocative video...whatever. It's not selling out, it's just playing the game. The music/artist can stay the same, it just comes down to marketing and good business sense.

Sometimes Pulse gets around a song and I can't seem to wrap my head around the hoopla and I was guessing this would be the case here, but this is a really catchy track and strong single. I can already imagine it on the airwaves this summer (let's be real, this will be a long trek upwards). I was doubting if he'd step out of one hit wonderville, and this should do the trick.

It's disappointing that this sounds nothing like his first album, which was one of the best to ever come out of American Idol. This also isn't amazing on its own either, and not enough to overcome the Idol stigma. DO WHAT What are you listening to?? ???

And it could totally backfire causing his wholesome image to go down the drain and he alienates his core fanbase.
