Katy Perry cannot be stopped. I don't know how I feel about that. Lol. Gotta give it to her, I guess.
Really impressed by Stronger. Glad to see everytime Kelly gets counted out, she proves her detractors wrong.

So Talk That Talk is another flop for Rihanna? If it's that's a shame because it is miles better than You Da One.

Have they filmed video for "Talk That Talk?"
Rihanna is on multiple radio singles right now- they all can't be uber-smashes.

Yeah she has about five songs currently being solicited for radio play, let's at least give this one another few weeks to take off. And the video has yet to be premiered, or the song to be performed
I personally can't wait for "Where You Have Been?" to smash but I'd like them try to at least give this one a proper push first

I feel like Rihanna's label needs to chill with her releasing so many singles in succession. They're not giving any of them a chance to reach their full potential. And it's Rihanna overload considering how many features she does as well. It was only a matter of time before her songs started underperforming.

Yah- if RiRi's label didn't pimp her out to so many other acts, the overload wouldn't feel as intense as it does.

^She has also had horrible single selection since WFL. YDO and TTT were/are never going to be hits. Roc me Out and Where Have You Been are the clear hits from this album and neither have been sent to radio.

Talk That Talk is a huge hit in this market, which is Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. Spinning on all stations on all core formats.

Looks like another Kelly vs. Adele battle for the top spot. Fun could contend if they sell big enough but I think they would need to sell more than 300,000 and I don't know how likely that is.

Rihanna needs to take a 2-year break and come back with another album in 2013 and stop doing so many damn featurings. She needs to build her brand better and release hit ballads as well, and maybe then she will start selling more albums.

A new album in 2013 would not be a two year break.

FUN. - We Are Young f/Janelle Monae: 12.279 (+ 1.104)
I feel a smash era coming. Fueled By Ramen would be idiots not to add this at Pop, and maybe even HAC/AC, and to keep promoting with album with multiple singles. I wanna see 500k in album sales at the absolute least. At the most, I want to see them be 2012's Adele-sized success story.
ETA: This is, in fact, going for adds at CHR next week, and is already #50 there. Get it, guys. GET. IT.

That "We Are Young" song is really bad, I guess it's just one of those songs people think is cool. The chorus is catchy but it's so annoying and the singer's voice is incredibly generic and bad. It's like one of those songs for the wannabe indie kids.

I wonder how high Adele's AI will get. Rhythmic have just started supporting this song quite strongly, hence the good updates. She should be able to get to ~165 million, but not sure if she'll be able to go beyond that.

Too many different solo singles, duets and features at the same time and none of them has prominent sales and airplay. She just needs less collaboration and focus on her own imo. I think people can be tired of her soon.

The thing that is concerning me about TTT's small updates lately is that before it officially went for adds it was getting healthy, steady updates. For it to suddenly stall after it just got an add date - when ideally more stations should be jumping on it - doesn't feel like a good omen. I'm one who thought that TTT was an easy hit from this album, so it is disappointing to see it just kind of languish right now. But maybe it will pick back up when she starts actively promoting it (that's another thing that I find of about this era so far, the relative lack of promotion aside from a few WFL performances).

She has only made five appearances worldwide to promote this album....X Factor US, X Factor UK, Ellen, Grammys, BRITs. She's maximized the promotion by appearing on the biggest platforms, but 3/4 months into an era that's nothing compared to most of the other pop stars.
