When is the last time a current album went Diamond? Has to have been a long time ago.

^ Millennium comes to mind right away, but I'm sure there was something more recent. I would guess it was probably Come Away with Me.

In terms of certification (for which "diamond" applies), Usher's album was certified diamond in 2008.

Note that the physical-digital ratio is a lot smaller than usual this week, with the 25-cent deals impacting digital-album sales big time.

Note that the physical-digital ratio is a lot smaller than usual this week, with the 25-cent deals impacting digital-album sales big time. its inflates the album sales and distorts the yr to yr comparison. They should also have other metrics like total revenue from all these sales i better measure of how album sales r going

^Yeah, like how the box office works. But, when comparing old movies and current ones, that's also not fair- that's where inflation-adjusted comparisons work best. No easy solution to these things. :)
