I honestly think the quality of her albums has increasing gone down throughout her career (with the exception of Libra being better than More Than A Woman), but I'll keep an open mind. She's talented enough to stay on my radar regardless. But if she's gonna come back with that YT shit like Pulse, she can keep it. jazzy not here for that.

I hope by dance, she means uptempo. Toni needs to stay in her R&B lane. She's too grown for anything less.

Libra was a really good album, but I also really like Pulse. It had some really good songs (hands tied, if I have to wait, lookin at me, no way, and wardrobe).

I'm so happy everybody is praising "Libra". That's my ALL TIME favorite Toni album and it's even MORE amazing she made it 12 years into her career.

Libra was by far her best album last decade, but I think all of her albums are better than a lot of other R&B albums which were released around the same time.
The second half of More Than a Woman is MUCH better than the first.
"Rock Me, Roll Me" "Do You Remember When" "Always" and "And I Love You" were great songs.
Pulse would've benefited from replaced some of the standard tracks with the bonus ones.
What does everyone think of this replacement?
"The Wave" instead of "Lookin' at Me"
"Stay" instead of "Pulse"
"Rewind" instead of "Yesterday"
"Caught (Don't Take Your Hat Off)" f/ Mo'Nique instead of "No Way"
and release "Hands Tied" as the first single instead of the 3rd.

I'd love another Libra from Toni. It's definitely between that and Secrets for my favorite Toni album. And it's definitely between Pulse and MTAW for my least favorite Toni album (although the high points on Pulse are really high for me).
I'm not scared of her doing a "dance" song before hearing it. I wouldn't be disappointed if this is like Looking At Me. I'd be really happy if it was something like "Not A Chance".

I am as big of a Toni Braxton fan as they come. And I am never not excited about new material from her. Obviously, since The Heat, her albums have largely disappointed, Libra being the sole exception.
Whenever I hear that there will be a new Toni Braxton song, all of me hopes the new song will be of the kind of quality that her 90s material was—and not an attempt on her part to be something she is not. Adult contemporary is and always has been her lane. I hope "I Heart You" fits the mold and gives us vintage Toni Braxton, though the title suggest otherwise.
I am hopeful, though, mainly because it appears she is surrounding herself with her original team, LA Reid and Babyface. Reid is, of course, CEO of Epic Records, her current label. And she is doing a few shows across the country with Babyface.
So, let's keep our fingers cross.
And, the kind of music Toni used to make—sad love songs—still has some ability to get play on the radio, as evidenced a few years back by Chrisette Michelle's hit "Blame It on Me," which I wish had been sung by Toni. It was perfect—perfect!—for her.
In any case, I am a bit confused, though. When she announced that there is a new single to be released next month, she said it was a "dance" song and that she was "going back to" her "roots."
Clearly, dance is not her roots, so that is confusing.
Anyway, I wish Toni Braxton all the best. I know I'll love IHY; I just hope everyone else does too.

No news on when it's coming? It sounds like a dancey type song, which I more than likely won't be here for. "Pulse" was sooo underrated. They should've released 'Lookin' At Me' in stead in 'Make My Heart.'
But I'm happy to hear she's not gonna wait another 4yrs to release some new material.

I still love "Hands Tied" and thought it was a good fit for what Toni should be doing, but it got overshadowed by the push for "Make My Heart"
