So, share some disappointing duets or collaborations in your opinion because you expected more for the duets or collaborations :)
Britney & Madonna - Me Against The Music, it was so hyped and it's still one of my least favorite singles from Britney, Madonna's part is so annoying, she should've not joined this collaboration
Beyonce & Lady Gaga - Video Phone, the song itself is bad imo, and the addition of Gaga for the remix version doesn't help much. Telephone, my least favorite single from Gaga, and i really hate Beyonce's part, cos her vocal sounds so annoying
Alicia Keys & Beyonce - Put It In A love Song, 2 big stars and they ended up with something very cheesy, both singers vocal is so bad, they could've done miles better, no surprise the single release was cancelled
Beyonce & Shakira - Beuatiful Liar, although it's a quite good song, but i expect more from both actually, especially from Beyonce, maybe more high notes or something
Mariah Carey & Neyo - Angels Cry, i don't think Neyo adding something special for the original version, he's just... there

You already mentioned it, but "Me Against The Music" is the ultimate disappointing duet. On the contrary, I love "Beautiful Liar" and "Put It In A Love Song".
Ricky Martin & Christina Aguilera, "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" B.o.B feat. Taylor Swift, "Both Of Us" David Guetta feat. Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj, "Where Them Girls At" Timbaland feat. Katy Perry, "If We Ever Meet Again" Nicki Minaj feat. Rihanna, "Fly" Coldplay feat. Rihanna, "Princess Of China"

'Me Against The Music' is one of my least favorite Britney singles, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as people make it out to be. The solo version is much better, though.

I loved Telephone and Nobody Wants to be Lonely. I mean, obviously the latter is very dated, but my God that was my s**t when I was teenager.
Me Against the Music was just...there. Coming from the Queen of Pop and her supposed successor a "just there" song had to be a disappointment. I think that goes for a lot of collaborations though. I usually dislike a lot of major collaborations because I always expect something amazing when both artists are epic, but often it is just...there. Beautiful Liar is probably one of my biggest disappointments because at the time I adored Beyonce and Shakira and I was expecting something that would make me dance FOREVER. The song came out insanely uninspired though. Like, no matter how many times I listened to it I couldn't remember how it went and even now I couldn't even hum part of it for you or tell you any of the lyrics. It is like it is so nondescript it doesn't even exist lol.
Christina and Alicia were pretty disappointing to me as well (Impossible).

MATM is not nearly as bad as you'd think given its reputation. It's much better than 95% of the shit Madonna has put out since. IMO ofc.

Rihanna - S&M (feat. Britney Spears)
Was so terrible that I can't even listen to the original anymore.

I agree with Video Phone. I like Beyonce and Gaga, but that song is just so awful and unappealing. Telephone, on the other hand, is pretty good. Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw's recent "Feels Like a Rockstar" duet was a catastrophic fail.

You know, I might be alone in thinking this but Madonna, Nicki and M.I.A. on a record together didn't sound so bad. And then they released "Give Me All Your Luvin'."

Video Phone was very cut-and-paste. Beautiful Liar was uneventful.

Rihanna & Britney SpearsEven though it was a desperate remix of "S&M," it still sounded like it was going to be hot! Then it just turned out to be utterly horrible. I love "Beautiful Liar."

Miranda & Blake's "Better In The Long Run" came to mind immediately. What a nondescript of a song.
I was also never charmed by any of the Trisha/Garth duets, which is maddening, since I love them both separately. I'm quite nervous at their rumored upcoming duet album.

Even though "Good, Good" was a cute song, I wanted something more like "Dilemma" only with Ashanti's vocals when Nelly and her collobarated in 2008. That was disappointing.

Love MATM and Telephone. Always have.
All the recent attempts at a higher Hot 100 peak were atrocious: -Rihanna and Britney on S&M -Katy Perry and Missy Elliot on Last Friday Night -Britney, Kesha, and Minaj on Till The World Ends

Brandy & Monica's most recent duet is very basic.
I'm disappointed, in general, that duets is a lost form of art in today's music.

The worst in recent memory is Brihanna S&M
TTWE with Nicki & Ke$ha is the best of the desperate remixes IMO

Definitely "When You Believe" - given the two epic voices singing, I expected an even more epic song.

Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney - "The Girl Is Mine"
It's alright it's just that you would think a collab by the King of Pop & a Beatle would have literally took over the world. It ended up getting overlooked by every other single on Thriller.
