Ugh, I really hate sappy music like this (and Bryan Adams for that matter), but I just love the latin influences and the warmth in his voice on his huge hit "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?". This was from the movie Don Juan de Marco (that explains the latin influences) and spent five weeks at #1 back in 1995. Definitely my favorite from him.

26 years ago today, "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" by Bryan Adams started 5-week runs at the top of 2 charts, the Hot 100 Singles and the Adult Contemporary. The song features Flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia and castanets. It served as the main soundtrack to Johnny Depp's ghastly film, "Don Juan DeMarco." The song received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song but lost to "Colour of the Wind" from "Pocahontas." "Have You Ever..." became Bryan's 4th No.1 on the Hot 100 and his 2nd on the A.C. chart. The song was later added to his 1996 album "18 Til I Die." This is one of my favourite Bryan Adams records.

Not a fan of this or some of his other big hits ("Heaven," "Everything I Do"...). He has quite a few songs I like, but I prefer his more uptempo songs to his ballads.
