Carly, I love you and all, but it's time you step down from that throne and let someone else get the crown 'Whistle' outpeaked 'Wild Ones' :) How about Good Feeling & 5 O Clock? 'Good Feeling' peaked at #3 and '5'O Clock' at #10, but '5 O'Clock' is by T-Pain, Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen, it has nothing to do with Flo Rida

I thought Home would get a nice, small boost from the Olympics exposre but #1? That's amazing!

"Usher's "Scream" logs its sixth week in the top 10, which matches (for weeks in the top 10) a different song titled "Scream" by Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson. The difference? Usher's is actually a good record! Both Michael and Janet made great pop records, so it's odd that their one collabo (in 1995) was so disappointing."
Bullshit
(An opinion of course but why does he need to share these thoughts in his chart blog?)

And it's not odd that a collaboration is worse than own efforts by artists. That's not an exception, it's more of a rule really.
Or what else can we say about Mariah and Whitney, and Celine and R. Kelly...

Grein didn't mention Darkside... not a good sign. "Dark Side" enters the top 50 this week at #49.

Is Paul Grein's blog personal or professional? Affiliated with Billboard?
I imagine he's entitled to his opinion on his own blog as long as he doesn't slander anyone. He's always had a little snark to him, even 30 years ago.

They haven't released 'Spectrum' in the states yet? Zedd or Florence? Well, either way, both are getting released like right now.

SoundScan doesn't even own Billboard anymore. They sold it years ago.

^No. They are 2 different companies now.
Just checked Billboard's page where they list all the offices, directories, etc...
No mention of Nielsen SoundScan.
Billboard is owned by Prometheus Global Media.
Billboard uses SoundScan info with permission.

It looks like M83 went recurrent though :( A great run though for a song that's over a year old and charted largely off of streaming points. I never imagined it making the Hot 100 at all, much less lasting for 20 weeks!

Is Jason Mraz slowly edging into having another "I'm Yours"-like longevity champ?
Hard drop for No Doubt -- a fall was probably expected but that's pretty severe. Still not seeing this one turning into a big hit...

Some 44m difference between the Quick-Cut Mediabase info and BDS for the No. 1 airplay track. Would be nice if these gaps could actually be pretty similar from both outlets. But, I don't think BDS will add a significant amount of stations to its coverage.

Billboard gave airplay too much power.
Where Have You Been is no. 20 on Digital Songs and 21 on On-Demand, but by being no 2 on Radio Songs, it's still no. 7 this week on the Hot 100.

"Home" should have no problem passing 1 million then. "Dance Again" should happily cross that mark as well.
The sales for "Goin' In" are pretty pitiful though.
