It's a crime these are in the bubbling under section. Set 1: Rather Be Happy Sheezus/Our Time/Hard Out Here - are you fucking serious >:( Helicopter Beautiful Now (too new I guess?) Cups Good For You (Should have debuted at #1 tbh) Elastic Heart Feel This Moment Flashlight Set 2: Anaconda Princess of China/Magic It Feels Aerosol Can Dance Apocalyptic/Yoga/Primetime/Electric Lady - WTF >:( Nobody to Love URL Badman/Air Balloon - OMG, literally the worst >:( Addicted To You >:( Bang Bang Hey Mama :'( Spark the Fire Lights Do It Again - ihu But at least they made it. 100-51: 98. Addicted to a Memory - Slay Zedd :'( 95. I Could Be The One - Awesome 87. King - OMG yes 74. Same Love <3 71. True Love - At least Lily made it somewhere 63. Animals - Me and my son still love this. 61. Truffle Butter - still too low, but yes! 50-26: 49. Knee Deep In My Heart - this made my top 10 for a hot second. 48. Bubble Butt - OMG YASSSS. This is our song. <3 45. Break Free - This is beautiful :'( 44. Q.U.E.E.N. - Oh thank god Janelle made it somewhere 42. Uptown Funk - Overplayed at this point, bu ok :) 39. 2 On - Yes, Tinashe! 31. Pound the Alarm - this came so close to hitting #1 on my chart

Hmm, looking at this list, I feel like when I went back and did weekly multipliers, I didn't weight the early weeks early enough, because all the older hits seem to be generally lower than the more recent hits. Oh well. Not gonna go adjust everything yet again lol Well also the first 6 months dealt with tons of craziness due to album tracks charting, so that made actual singles chart lower than they would have otherwise, so that also plays into effect, which I guess I should have compensated for with higher multipliers.

My points system seems to under/overweight certain eras over others as well. My all time list never feels accurate and I've given up on revising the points for the 96531th time. The issue mostly comes from comparing a top 15/17 with a top 40, though. I had to make the #1's higher in the former to compensate. But it makes my current #1's seem super low. (I tried making the #1's higher in 2014, but it just lead to songs like "Hideaway" flying up too high on the all time chart and it forced me to limit "Jubel" and "Prayer In C"'s weeks on the chart).
:(

I didn't involve calculations like that. It's not complicated, just gives more points to more competitive weeks. My points system seems to under/overweight certain eras over others as well. My all time list never feels accurate and I've given up on revising the points for the 96531th time. The issue mostly comes from comparing a top 15/17 with a top 40, though. (I tried making the #1's higher in 2014, but it just lead to songs like "Hideaway" flying up too high on the all time chart and it forced me to limit "Jubel" and "Prayer In C"'s weeks on the chart). :( Yeah, I've changed the points a few times already and that's enough work for me lol. It will never be perfect, anyways, so oh well.

new format~ | #25: Lady Gaga - "Applause" Peak: 1 [1 week] | Weeks On Chart: 21 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 17 | 3 Year Rank: 25 (-8) Chart Run: 1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-5-6-8-10-8-10-11-13-20-26-39-41-47 Commentary: This song is way too high lol I charted it way too well due to extreme thirst for new Gaga music. It’s in my bottom 3 singles of hers, and is just alright. I am fine with it debuting at #1, but it should have charted for only like 10-15 weeks, not the 21 it actually got. Oh well. You’ll be seeing more of Gaga later on. | | #24: Shane Filan - "About You" Peak: 1 [2 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 24 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: | 3 Year Rank: 24 Chart Run: 42-19-7-5-4-3-1-1-2-3-6-11-9-7-9-16-32-38-40-40-44-44-44-48 Commentary: Love this song. I didn’t expect this to perform better than “Knee Deep In My Heart,” but this really grew on me and ended up doing quite well. In a related note, I finally downloaded the full album that this is on, so hopefully it doesn’t disappoint. :) | | #23: Tamar Braxton - "The One" Peak: 1 [1 week] | Weeks On Chart: 26 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: 110 | 2 Year Rank: 16 (+94) | 3 Year Rank: 23 (-7) Chart Run: 38-27-23-19-13-10-9-8-6-4-3-2-2-2-1-2-6-7-10-14-20-29-37-43-47-48 Commentary: Love this. This charted alongside “Love and War” for the most part. This was much more immediate than “Love and War,” which might have caused it to not gather as many points. Definitely recommend this and the album to everyone! This is not the last you will see of Tamar, obviously. | | #22: Ellie Goulding - "Figure 8" Peak: 1 [2 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 35 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: 6 | 2 Year Rank: 15 (-9) | 3 Year Rank: 22 (-7) Chart Run: 27-25-23-14-9-5-2-1-2-2-1-2-4-5-8-11-11-14-15-18-24-24-25-26-27-30-32-34-36-37-40-41-46-46-47 Commentary: This is so good. Probably my favorite Ellie song. I only like ~5 of her songs, but those 5 songs I really like. It’s weird. The production and everything about this is great. She has 1 more song, which you will see tomorrow. | | #21: Of Monsters and Men - "Dirty Paws" Peak: 2 | Weeks On Chart: 23 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: 197 | 2 Year Rank: 14 (+183) | 3 Year Rank: 21 (-7) Chart Run: 39-39-off (28 weeks)-18-17-14-10-9-7-6-5-5-4-3-2-2-2-2-4-5-13-20-34-48 Commentary: This song is great. It initially charted when I explored Of Monsters and Men’s other singles while charting “Little Talks,” but only for 2 weeks at #39, back when the chart was only 40 positions. It dropped off for 28 weeks (I think) until I finished charting “Little Talks,” “Mountain Sound,” and “King and Lionheart.” It then charted very well, peaking at #2 for 4 weeks. Look for 1 more song by them to appear in the top 10. |

I'm ready for more Gaga and Ellie. Surprised Of Monsters and Men is so high. I think I know what song is #1, but I will keep it to myself.

I love "Applause." I actually thought it was one of her better singles personally. The chorus is pretty good, but the verses needed some changing. That definitely would have made me like the song a lot more.

next 5! | #20: Ellie Goulding - "Love Me Like You Do" Peak: 2 | Weeks On Chart: 22 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: | 3 Year Rank: 20 Chart Run: 47-17-8-3-2-2-4-4-5-6-10-11-9-15-16-15-17-28-32-40-44-45 Commentary: This song was definitely a grower for me. The first time I heard this I was super bored and quit listening after barely a minute. I tried again later and made it further but still was bored, then I gave it another listen and made it through and started liking it. It ended up hitting #2 for 2 weeks and obviously becoming a big hit. Although it technically is higher than “Figure 8,” I like “Figure 8” more. | | #19: Ke$ha - "Crazy Kids" Peak: 1 [1 week] | Weeks On Chart: 30 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: 18 | 2 Year Rank: 13 (+5) | 3 Year Rank: 19 (-6) Chart Run: 1-3-4-4-8-12-19-24-31-off (11 weeks)-39-35-29-23-21-14-13-11-6-6-5-5-6-10-15-21-29-33-37-43-48 Commentary: This song is so good. The solo version, not the horrible edit with will.u.not. This hit #1 as an album track, dropped off due to album tracks no longer being able to chart, and then re-charted, hitting #5 as an official single. I need some new music, please, Ke$ha. :'( | | #18: Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars" Peak: 10 | Weeks On Chart: 34 | Certification: 5x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 250 | 3 Year Rank: 18 (+232) Chart Run: 46-43-42-41-32-29-28-23-20-18-15-15-17-15-19-15-13-16-21-25-23-24-15-10-10-14-13-16-15-19-26-33-34-44 Commentary: This song had quite the run. I never truly loved this song. In fact, I was pretty disappointed with it at first, but it just continually grew on me, and took the longest time to burn on me. I’m still not in love with the drop, but the rest of the song is quite great. If the drop was a little bit... harder? I would really love this. This ended up being a big hit, despite only peaking at #10, thanks to spending a long time on the chart overall, especially in the 10-20 range. Look for several more Coldplay songs still to come! | | #17: Tamar Braxton - "All the Way Home" Peak: 3 | Weeks On Chart: 23 | Certification: 6x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 12 | 3 Year Rank: 17 (-5) Chart Run: 41-22-13-11-8-7-7-5-6-7-7-6-6-4-3-3-3-3-6-13-23-32-47 Commentary: Another great song from Tamar. This one was pretty immediate. I overplayed it, so when it peaked it dropped off very quickly. Still, a 6x Platinum certification is nothing to scoff at. | | #16: Ariana Grande and The Weeknd - "Love Me Harder" Peak: 1 [4 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 19 | Certification: 6x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: | 3 Year Rank: 16 Chart Run: 28-5-1-1-1-1-2-2-3-4-4-5-4-6-18-29-39-45-48 Commentary: This was immediately a highlight off of the album, similar in many ways to “Do What U Want” (which will show up later) by Lady Gaga and R. Kelly. I was glad to hear this was going to be a single, meaning I could chart it, but figured it wouldn’t be as successful as the previous singles from the album. Overall, this is a great song! Look for more of Ariana to show up, still. |

5 more | #15: Tamar Braxton - "Love and War" Peak: 1 [3 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 36 | Certification: 6x Platinum 1 Year Rank: 58 | 2 Year Rank: 11 (+47) | 3 Year Rank: 15 (-4) Chart Run: 40-31-10-2-1-1-2-1-2-2-2-2-3-5-8-13-15-17-20-21-25-32-37-39-41-41-42-41-44-45-43-45-47-43-45-48 Commentary: I’ve mentioned this in commentary for other Tamar songs, but this was a big grower on me. In addition, it had almost no burn rate on me, allowing it to chart for a long time after peaking. Great song and Tamar sounds amazing on it. | | #14: Beyoncé feat. Jay-Z and T.I. - "Drunk In Love (DJ MLK Remix)" Peak: 1 [3 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 29 | Certification: 6x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 8 | 3 Year Rank: 14 (-6) Chart Run: 28-9-2-1-1-1-2-5-10-13-11-8-9-9-12-12-15-17-17-18-23-28-32-35-41-42-42-42-49 Commentary: The original version of the song charted for the first half or so of the chart run, until you see it rebound a little, which is when I started charting the remix, which got a little over half of the total points for the song. I love both versions. :) | | #13: Disclosure feat. AlunaGeorge - "White Noise" Peak: 4 | Weeks On Chart: 33 | Certification: 6x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 124 | 3 Year Rank: 13 (+111) Chart Run: 41-8-5-4-5-6-6-11-11-12-15-14-14-13-10-10-14-16-17-18-22-24-28-31-33-36-33-36-38-37-38-43-45 Commentary: This was much more immediate to me than “Latch” (still to appear), allowing for a faster climb. This is a great song, but not as good as “Latch.” | | #12: Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea - "Problem" Peak: 1 [3 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 27 | Certification: 7x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 60 | 3 Year Rank: 12 (+48) Chart Run: 9-7-4-3-1-1-1-2-2-2-4-4-5-8-8-11-11-18-28-34-37-35-41-48-48-48-44 Commentary: Love this. The vocals, the beat, the sax, everything. Except Igloo, although her part grew on me a lot. Buy on iTunes now plz. | | #11: Beyoncé - "Partition" Peak: 1 [2 weeks] | Weeks On Chart: 31 | Certification: 7x Platinum 1 Year Rank: | 2 Year Rank: 10 | 3 Year Rank: 11 (-1) Chart Run: 9-6-5-4-3-1-1-2-2-4-6-10-10-14-15-14-16-22-22-23-22-26-32-37-37-40-39-42-46-45-47 Commentary: I remember when the album dropped and I was listening to song snippets online. This one stood out to me immediately as the best song. It was just so good and screamed to be a single, and it got released, making me so happy. The video slays, the song slays, the vocals, the lyrics, the beat, the visuals. Ugh. |
