The first single from Kid Rock's next studio album is a cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Making Love". I don't have a problem with cover versions, but this is the FOURTH cover that Kid Rock has been associated within the last year and a half following:
"Saturday Night's Alright" (The Who) "Gimme Back My Bullets" (Lynyrd Skynyrd) "Legs" (ZZ Top)
Is Kid Rock pushing the envelope with the remakes?
How successful will he be at AAA or even pop?

I finally got a copy of Kid Rock's new single. It is better than I expected. Kid Rock is surprisingly subdued. The verses are pretty true to the original version by Bad Company, but the chorus has more of a Kid Rock sound to it.
I think Hot AC may very well find a home for FLML. A lot of older listeners who grew up the original should be comfortable with Kid Rock's cover.
Nothing earth shattering, but well worth a few listens.

Is it AC friendly? Maybe it could pick up where pal Uncle Kracker left off with HIS remake!

LOL! I wouldn't want to make a guess! I never thought Uncle Kracker would spend 5 months at number one with a remake.

i don't like how he goes screaming into the chorus, it ruins the effect he could have with this song.. but the rest of what i heard is pretty good

I'll have to listen to the full thing, but this sample is really disappointing. I like that Kid Rock incorporates lots of 70s rockers into his live sets, or uses elements of good ol kickass rock and roll, but I really need Paul Rodgers vocals on here and not Rocks.
