First single from his upcoming solo album, goes for adds at active rock on September 26.
There's only one reason and one reason alone why I'm posting this up, and it's because when this album comes out Scott Stapp will be more washed up than a beached whale. He's already lost the talented portion of Creed and now he only has his moronic self to rely on. I'm looking forward to this like a car accident.

LOL...I agree that it will very likely bomb. It will definitely not chart on alternative (obviously it's not being released there), but it could stand a chance at, say, Top 30 or so on Active Rock, which I know isn't saying much.
Not that I like any of Creed's music (I never heard Scott Stapp's previous single, "Re-Learn Love") but I don't understand why so many people hate Scott Stapp. Is it because he lacks talent? His music sucks? Or is it something I'm completely oblivious of? It is radio's fault that all of Creed's songs became as successful as they were. I don't believe Creed's music is as bad as some other band's music, but, cry me a river. I actually thought their first album wasn't too bad and contained some somewhat groundbreaking material ("One") but they took it to pop extremes with their next two albums ("With Arms Wide Open", the two big singles off Weathered). Someone please attempt to answer why he picks up so much flack on this message board and among fellow music connoseiurs, because I've never understood why.

I believe this joke I heard from a friend perfectly sums up the Scott Stapp backlash:
"What's the difference between God and Scott Stapp?" "What?" "God doesn't think he's Scott Stapp"

I don't like Scott Stapp's personality or his attitude or the way he's raping the memory of Creed by performing their songs when all the other members have already moved on. It's not Creed I dislike exactly, which is why I'm a fan of Alter Bridge. It's just him. Him and his Jesus Christ pose.

Is it true that he's being backed by the great canadian band The The Party?

Anytime a rock singer reaches a pop audience they get hate. Plus its human nature to build people up then tear em down. I just think its funny to watch people pick and choose whos got credibiltiy and whos selling out whis it based on majority and not personal opinion i wonder... To me Creed were decent. If I were too start picking on bands i'd never make it to Creed before God came back, theyre have been and still are some bad bands with not much originality or talent. With hits you lose critical acclaim without them you starve.. It's a no win situation when it comes to critics.

I really hope the Tea Party doesn't have anything to do with this. They're one of my favorite bands and I love them even more for producing the next High Holy Days album, but this would be a big step down in my mind.

The Tea party is gonna produce the new high holy days album? that will be very interesting! post-grunge with that dark tea party sound. hmm... I'm still scratchin my head with Tea Party and Scott Strap. Those are 2 different sounds.

He shot a video with Paul Fedor, my favorite video director. It's gonna feature a lot of contrasting light set-ups.
Paul Fedor did Rachel Yamagata's video for Worn Me Down, one of my favorite songs/videos in a long time.
Should be an interesting video, even if the song more likely than not will make me want to kill myself.

This will certainly flop at Alternative, and only get limited play at Active Rock, but this certainly sounds like it could hit at Hot AC.
Scott Stapp's legacy at the Rock formats is most likely dead as dust, but he might be able to pull a Live and find a home on the Top 40, no matter how ugly his voice sounds.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

It was on Battle of The Newbees and I almost threw up when a few people voted for it over Mario's "Boom."
My opinion: horrible.

If the whole "survive the great divide" line isn't an allusion to Creed's breakup, I don't know what is.

Is Scott Stapp not the male version of Celine Dion now?
He can't possibly be serious in believing this stands a chance at any of the rock formats (other than minor minor success on possibly active rock). Maybe he'll cater to the pop audience for now on. I think he still has a life there.

Okay, so it's not specifically about the breakup. Sounds to me like it is about the band though, according to his comments.
