According to Radio and Records, this song is going for Hot A/C adds this week.
It is super catchy, with a dance club feel. Do you guys think it will do well on Hot A/C?

Think it's too aggressive-sounding to be bit Hot AC hit, unless there's no Alternative station in that market

I think this can perform moderately well here, but not to the level of success of "One Thing".
I think its more likely run will be similar to that of Blue October's "Hate Me" or Stone Sour's "Through Glass", with a slow rise up the chart and eventually peaking in the Top 15.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This song went from "WTF? This is Finger Eleven?!?" to being my favorite song of the year.

Sincerely, Noah Eaton I'm not so sure it will even do that well. It's experiencing a very slow upward climb right now, and not too many adds. There's a chance it could become a surprise hit later on, but I think it's unlikely at this point. Other than "One Thing", most of Finger Eleven's material is not very Hot AC-friendly. They're more suited for alternative or AOR than this format.

Have you heard the album? Practically all of it is Hot AC-friendly.

Maybe they have some more Hot AC-oriented tracks to follow up this introductory AOR track - I can't possibly see this song doing as well as "Hate Me" or "Through Glass" b/c it isn't meaningful lyrically, and the style seems WAY too polarizing for typical Hot AC listeners - in other words, I think this song is extremely male (not female) oriented, like "Figured You Out" by Nickelback or "Heavy" by Collective Soul

Looking at your top 5, though, it looks like you probably hang with a younger, alternative rock-oriented crowd (maybe I'm completely wrong) - in order to become a hit at Hot AC, it really has to have mass appeal to women well into their 30s (and men too, but esp. women)

For the most part though, my friends basically listen to whatever's on the radio and nothing else. And since this song is everywhere in Canada that's probably why they like it. in order to become a hit at Hot AC, it really has to have mass appeal to women well into their 30s (and men too, but esp. women) My dad likes it, is that close enough? lol

I first heard this on an alternative station about a month or two ago and liked it. It is probably a little too heavy to be a big hit at Hot AC, but I think it deserves more airplay.

Too polarizing for Hot AC I think - like "Are You Gonna Go My Way" by Lenny Kravitz (extremely popular Rock song that CHR and Hot AC wouldn't touch)

#38 on R&R this week with +25 in spins. Not a great standing, but at least it made the Hot AC top 40.

DC's rock station plays this a lot, and I like it.
I have yet to hear it on a Hot AC station though.

It's actually up-tempo enough to be played in clubs. Kind of reminds me of "I Was Made for Lovin' You" by Kiss - a song that rocked out, and was popular in the discos as well.

I saw the video on VH1. I didn't care for the song. Pretty generic rock to me. Therefore, it'll be a hit. If HotAC was going to support a rock song at this time (other than Daughtry and NB), I prefer Incubus' Dig.

"Dig" will def. be a lot bigger on Hot AC than "Paralzyer" but "Paralyzer"'s been tearin up the CHR/Hot AC combo chart mostly I think from Alternative-leaning CHRs CHR isn't touching "Dig" :(

I think "Dig" is more of a complex-themed song that really appeals (in general) to higher income listeners i. e. Alternative and Hot AC - a lot of CHR listeners want easy-to-understand songs with catchy hooks - especially younger CHR listeners - I also don't think it ever went for CHR adds
In other words, IMO "Dig" is a song you really have to think about, and "Paralyzer" is a song you can just dance to w/o worrying about what it means

I like the lyrics of "Dig" better, but song-wise I like "Paralyzer".
So I like this better.
