Looks like my original prediction of this holding off everybody (Maroon 5, Plain White Ts, Lifehouse, Fergie) might end up correct. It's +44 today. I doubt that. HTD and BGDC are relatively new and the latter has a 260+ bullet. I was wrong when it looked like Maroon 5 would take over when they had ragained their bullet, and hopefully I'm wrong again. aside from Lifehouse, I wouldn't like any of those hitting #1.

I'm still pretty sure Fergie will take #1 Hot AC pretty soon - it's #1 on CHR/HAC combo, and I've noticed that more and more HAC stations are adding it straight into at least medium rotation

^ It's still about 1,300 plays behind "Home" and has only a +200 bullet.
Although "Home" will probably lose a LOT of plays in upcoming weeks as "Over You" will begin to be played.

Hot 100: 17 27 22 Home, Daughtry IMO this will stay on AC for a really long time similar to "You And Me" by Lifehouse and I don't think it's going anywhere on Hot AC for a while either - still think this is gonna be one of the biggest hits of the year

'HOME' RUN: Daughtry, the band fronted by "American Idol" fifth season finalist Chris Daughtry, has had two entries on the Adult Top 40 chart. Which one is the bigger hit? As of this week, it's a tie.
"It's Not Over" entered the week of Dec. 16, 2006, and reached the summit the week of March 3. The song spent nine weeks on top. The follow-up, "Home," debuted the week of April 21 and climbed into first place the week of June 16. This week, "Home" is in its ninth frame at No. 1.
Tune in next week to see if "Home" lords it over "Over," or if the two chart-toppers will have to settle for the tie.

IMO "Home" is def. gonna be bigger on Hot AC than INO and prob. will stay at #1 for at least another month - only song I can see knocking it off is Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry"

Still think "Makes me Wonder" by Maroon 5 has a chance. :)
Also, keep in mind that stations are going to begin playing "Over You" more and more. So the -86 on there we see today could very well be -186 a week from today, so I don't think it will spend that many more weeks at #1.

HOME nominated for MTV VMA award for "Monster Hit" of the year. Not sure what to make of this since "It's Not Over" was a bigger hit than HOME ???

Well, "It's Not Over" was technechally released in 2006, but I agree with you that it was surely a 2007 smash.
On Hot AC and AC, ""Home" is a bigger hit. On pop and rock, "It's Not Over" was a bigger hit.

Yeah - IMO when all formats are added up at the end of the year (especially including Mainstream AC) "Home" will actually come out as the bigger hit - Mainstream AC aside from being the highest rated format besides country and talk has the power to keep songs on the air for 10-20 years to come

Billboard Chart Beat'HOME' AGAIN: Last week, I reported that Daughtry's "Home" had equaled the nine weeks that "It's Not Over" had spent at No. 1 on the Adult Top 40 chart. This week, "Home" has not moved from pole position, so its 10-week reign surpasses the reign of "Over."
Meanwhile, "Home" rises to the top of the Adult Contemporary chart. It's the first time the same song has ruled both the Adult Contemporary and Adult Top 40 charts since Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" in May-June 2006.
