Possibly Going to Recurrent: "Sorry" when the song falls below #15. Going to Recurrent: "Stay Beautiful" in 2 weeks. Biggest Mover: "Shake It" and "What about Now" jump 5 notches each to numbers 32 and 33 respectively. Debuts: Newcomer Adele has the only debut this week, coming in at #40 with "Chasing Pavements". Exiting the Survey: "Won't Go Home without You", 30 weeks, to recurrent Other Notes: 3 Doors Down score only their 2nd top 2 hit as "It's Not My Time" moves up 2 to #2. "Pocketful of Sunshine" makes the top 5 at #5. Debuts: Lifehouse debuts with their 9th hit, "Broken", at #39 for the highest debut. Puddle of Mudd return to the top 40 at #40 with "We Don't Have to Look Back Now", their first hit in 5 years. Can they do that? Whats the official rule of that? I thought it was below #15, 20 weeks or more and you're out but do they allow it to keep going if your peaking? For how long?

Mediabase has allowed songs below #15 to stay on beyond 20 weeks if they believed the song still has potential for growth. I don't know of any set rules for this, and it's probably left up to the chart manager to decide.

Mediabase has allowed songs below #15 to stay on beyond 20 weeks if they believed the song still has potential for growth. I don't know of any set rules for this, and it's probably left up to the chart manager to decide. "Nothing Left To Lose" by Mat Kearney was the most recent example of that rule. That song took about 22 or 23 weeks just to make the top 15, let alone the #6 peak that song achieved a couple of months later. If that song had been removed, I'm sure quite a few stations would not have taken a chance it.
