This went up at a relatively quick pace though on this format. It's the youngest song in the top 10 by a mile. It's true it's the youngest song in the top 10 currently but it wasn't the youngest in terms of weeks when it entered. Lady A, LLWD, and Train all got top 10 in less weeks than WWFM did. WWFM lost its bullet twice when it was below #30 and was affected by the freeze as well, but since then it has been climbing fast. Yesterday mediabase made wierd panel changes. They drop a station in HAC and then put the same station back on the panel again. At the evening, the real HAC update was 3,093 spins, so today the update is: 9 6 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me RCA/RMG 2009 3154 2954 200 + 61 spins. :) I don't know about even entering the top 3 personally. WWFM is one of the only songs in the top 32 songs ??? that didn't get premium choice in Clear Channel yet in HAC. Sooner or later, this could affect its progress, especially if the Clear Channel stations that have yet to add, don't add, so I think it will most likely peak at #4.

I swear mediabase has gone through more panel changes during WWFM's chart run than anytime during the 10+ years I been following the chart. Should move up to #5 on HOT AC by the end of the week!

Do you know how widespread PC is on HAC? How many stations? I can't find much about it.

I don't, I've been waiting for them to add WWFM so that I could track that using WWFM lol, but they have yet to do so. CC have much less stations in HAC panel, they are barely 20% of the board compared to nearly a third of the Top 40 panel. Still, currently there are 4 CC stations that have yet to add and one (Phoenix) that doesn't spin, and I think they are more likely to add and spin once WWFM gets the premium choice, if it gets it in the end.

Top 5 today! Should be #4 soon. And then it's hoping that it behaves like a typical HAC song and stays afloat, and not the typical Pop-on-HAC song that collapses quickly.

Hot AC#5 3,234 Spins (+80) +256 Bullet (+56) 17.653 AI Wow, didn't think it would make top five this soon...#4 is def a possibility by the end of the week now! WPLJ in NY is putting this back on power hence the audience gains!

^ Not only WPLJ Foxxy, the HAC stations in SF are helping with the the audience gains too as they both increased rotation. :) Top 5 today! Should be #4 soon. And then it's hoping that it behaves like a typical HAC song and stays afloat, and not the typical Pop-on-HAC song that collapses quickly. Honestly? If WWFM starts collapsing quickly after getting to #4 means RCA releasing IIHY faster.. I wouldn't mind that scenario. Though we'll get the numbers only tomorrow, I think WWFM passed 1M in flying colors last week, and could reach past 1.1M next week, it's done its part well, and I want a new single now to maintain album sales.

Has anyone managed to figure out the HAC PC spins? Is WWFM getting them or not?

The only WWFM HAC syndicated spins I've seen apart from the countdown shows were Cumulus', but I didn't see it getting any CC syndicated overnight spins yet and it has yet to get premium.

It is a syndicated playlist that Clear Channel owned stations play, mostly overnight. It's to cut costs. On Pop, a song in PC power rotation probably receives more than 1000 weekly spins from it.

While HAC in the USA is more open to crossovers from pop than it was a few years ago, HAC in Canada is even more pop-oriented. There are still a few U.S. stations on the panel that either stay away from some of the more pop-leaning songs on the HAC chart or or only spin them infrequently. Thanks for the answer, but to my ears, WWFM is an HAC leaning song. Maybe that is why I am struggling with this notion that there would be any reason for it not to pick up enough adds. Somebody else, I think it might have been brb, suggested that the slow rise on HAC might have been to do with RCA pushing it to pop before HAC. That makes sense to me, but still doesn't really explain why this song would struggle to get adds on HAC, unless I'm really just not understanding the difference between Pop and HAC in the US - which is obviously a very distinct possibility

Jools, I think that at the beginning WWFM didn't get much adds in HAC because FYE got higher in HAC and was still being spinned there more than it was in Top 40. FYE peaked at #48 in HAC compared to #65 I think in Top 40. I can't explain though why WWFM has yet to receive premium choice in HAC when songs like "Glitter In The Air" and "Half Of My Heart" got it last week. My only explanation is that maybe it's because RCA are not pushing it in HAC enough, since when was the last radio promo he did in HAC? Back in February in NY area when he was there for the Z100 concert.. nothing since. It is a syndicated playlist that Clear Channel owned stations play, mostly overnight. It's to cut costs. On Pop, a song in PC power rotation probably receives more than 1000 weekly spins from it. Yup, also, premium adds can be seen here in addboard and usually when a song gets them, it is added to the syndicated playlist in the following Monday. In Top 40, there have been some exceptions of songs being spinned in the list only several weeks later though or songs like NMT and OMG being spinned in that list before they were reported as premium. I don't know about HAC though.

FYE peaked at #48 in HAC compared to #65 I think in Top 40. LOL, I think I should just totally give up trying to work out what is HAC and what is top40/Pop. To me FYE is a top40/pop song and WWFM is more HAC leaning. It makes sense though, that WWFM took longer on HAC because they were spinning FYE. So does the idea that RCA pushed WWFM to top40 before HAC, which I think also came from you.

Up to #4! It's a big gap to the top3 though. Was hoping Train or LA would drop quicker but they seem to more stand still.

Lady A and Train don't appear ready to surrender the top 2, and The Script is still gaining...It's gonna be a while before he moves up again probably.

Slowing down but could make #3 if Train continues to decrease. Nothing is really behind Adam to jump over him either.
