Before I continue with my preview, I want to join the rest of the AT40 community in extending my condolences to Matt Wilson's family. All of this week's Casey's shows will end with a message to Matt Wilson, "We will miss you".

- Station of the Week: WSQL - My thoughts on LDD #1: It seemed unusual for the letter writer to be anonymous when the subject matter (maybe) didn't appear to be too serious. - My thoughts on LDD #2: I sympathize with Brian here. After three years of separation from a woman I really liked, it's hard for me to forget about her. - Casey used a "cheek-to-cheek" pun to describe the two Chic songs back-to-back - Premiere edited out the word "bitchin'" from #14 even though the same word was kept in when "Big Shot" was played as an optional extra last month. - #1 Country Album: "The Gambler" - Kenny Rogers - #1 Soul Album: "Too Hot" - Peaches & Herb - #1 Adult Contemporary: Crazy Love - #1 Soul: "I Got My Mind Made Up" - Instant Funk - #1 Country: I Just Fall In Love Again - #1 Disco: "We Are Family/He's The Greatest Dancer/Lost In Music" - Sister Sledge - #1 Album: Spirits Having Flown - The Bee Gees

This upcoming weekend's edition of Classic AT40 is a singleton weekend for both '70s and '80s and not only that both shows originally ran on this very weekend six years earlier. With that said, here is an updated repost: Here are this weekend's shows "AT40: The '70s" this week presents 3/27/1976 Four songs debuted this week: "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" - Abba (#36) "Livin' For The Weekend" - The O'Jays (#37) "Lorelei" - Styx (#39) "Fopp" - The Ohio Players (#40) Four songs fell out of the Top 40 this week: "Just You And I" - Melissa Manchester (#27) "Love Is The Drug" - Roxy Music (#30) "The White Knight" - Cledus Maggard And The Citizen's Band (#32) "Love To Love You Baby" - Donna Summer (#37) Biggest Mover: "Boogie Fever" - The Sylvers (#35 to #25) Biggest Dropper: "Love Machine" - The Miracles (#6 to #21) Original extras: "Shop Around" - Smokey Robinson & The Miracles "I Am, I Said" - Neil Diamond Both songs will be played as optional extras this week in Hours #1 and #3 respectively. John Sebastian's "Welcome Back" (which debuted at #84) is the optional extra in Hour #2. "AT40: The '80s" this week presents 3/31/1984 Five songs debuted this week: "The Authority Song" - John Cougar Mellencamp (#35) "Head Over Heels" - The Go-Go's (#36) "A Fine Fine Day" - Tony Carey (#38) "To All The Girls I've Loved Before" - Willie Nelson & Julio Iglesias (#39) "One In A Million" - The Romantics (#40) Five songs fell out of the Top 40 this week: "Wrapped Around Your Finger" - The Police (#23) "Karma Chameleon" - Culture Club (#24) "Livin' In Desperate Times" - Olivia Newton-John (#31) "Let The Music Play" - Shannon (#32) "Don't Let Go" - Wang Chung (#38) Biggest Mover: "You Might Think" - The Cars (#39 to #28) Biggest Dropper: "Nobody Told Me" - John Lennon (#19 to #33) Original extras: None Long Distance Dedications: "You've Got A Friend" - Carole King "So Far Away" - Carole King Premiere optional extras: Hour #1: "It's My Life" - Talk Talk (#65) Hour #2: "Wouldn't It Be Good" - Nik Kershaw (#93; debuted) Hour #3: "The Longest Time" - Billy Joel (#47) Hour #4: "Rock You Like A Hurricane" - The Scorpions (#76) Of note: "It's My Life" replaces Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out For A Hero" from the original 2013 airing. ... - Premiere edited out the word "bitchin'" from #14 even though the same word was kept in when "Big Shot" was played as an optional extra last month. ... That wasn't Premiere's edit; Watermark did it in '79. Today's remasters are faithful to the originals.
