Okay. Now to preview the two '70s shows for this week. The "A" show this week was the very first AT40 from 7/4/1970 (using the Billboard chart dated 7/11) Six songs made their debut on this historic first show: "Make It With You" - Bread (#20) "Ohio" - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (#30) "I Just Can't Help Believing" - B.J. Thomas (#36) "Spill The Wine" - Eric Burdon & War (#38) "Silver Bird" - Mark Lindsay (#39) "The End of Our Road" - Marvin Gaye (#40) Six songs also fell off that week: "Up Around The Bend/Run Through The Jungle" - Creedence Clearwater Revival (#26) "Make Me Smile" - Chicago (#27) "The Letter" - Joe Cocker (#33) "Cecilia" - Simon & Garfunkel (#35) "Hey, Mister Sun" - Bobby Sherman (#38) "I Want To Take You Higher" - Sly & The Family Stone (#40) Biggest Mover: "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" - Stevie Wonder (#39 to #26) Biggest Dropper: "Which Way You Goin' Billy?" - Poppy Family (#11 to #23) Original extras: "Little Ole Man (Uptight - Everything's Alright)" - Bill Cosby "Hello, Dolly!" - Louis Armstrong "Spinning Wheel" - Blood, Sweat & Tears "Satisfaction" - The Rolling Stones Of note: "Little Ole Man" will NOT be played at all (although given Bill Cosby's recent public fall from grace, it's for the best). Also, "Spinning Wheel" will be one of the optional extras. "Hello, Dolly!" and "Satisfaction" will remain. Premiere optional extras: Hour #1: "It's Not Unusual" - Tom Jones Hour #2: "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" - Herman's Hermits Hour #3: "Spinning Wheel" - Blood, Sweat & Tears The "B" show for this week is from 7/12/1975. Here is my repost from 2013: I'm still having online issues at home so here is this weekend's Classic AT40 preview. "AT40: The '70s" this week presents 7/12/1975 Six songs debuted this week: "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" - Elton John (#25) "Mornin' Beautiful" - Tony Orlando & Dawn (#34) "Fight The Power Pt. 1" - The Isley Brothers (#36) "Just A Little Bit Of You" - Michael Jackson (#38) "At Seventeen" - Janis Ian (#39) "Sweet Emotion" - Aerosmith (#40) Six songs fell out of the Top 40 this week: "I'll Play For You (Hear The Band)" - Seals & Crofts (#29) "Baby That's Backatcha" - Smokey Robinson (#31) "Philadelphia Freedom" - The Elton John Band (#34) "Bad Time" - Grand Funk Railroad (#35) "The Last Farewell" - Roger Whitaker (#36) "Bad Luck (Part 1)" - Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes (#37) Biggest Mover (tie): "It's All Down To Goodnight Vienna" - Ringo Starr (#39 to #31) "Disco Queen" - Hot Chocolate (#40 to #32) Biggest Dropper: "I'm Not Lisa" - Jessi Colter (#7 to #18) Original Extras: None Premiere optional extras: Hour #1: "Landslide" - Fleetwood Mac (NR) Hour #2: "Fame" - David Bowie (#67) Hour #3: "Get Down Tonight" - KC & The Sunshine Band (#94; debuted)

I'm just wondering... does anybody remember whether AT40 Jul 11, 1970 (chart of Jul 18, 1970) repeated 2016 or 2017 as special as B, with hr3 recreated? I know I did recall I listened Jul 11, 1970 before but I don't remember exactly when..

In case anyone is interested, WPGC (one of the original 7 stations) has a recreation of the first show available for on-demand streaming (re creating as it aired - 3 hours - with commercials - no Premiere extras)

I'm betting with the passing of Charlie Daniels today they add Uneasy Rider as an extra to this weeks 7/14/73 show since it was only a week away from debuting it may have been already.
