1977 will be Supersized on WTOJ What do you mean Supersized? It's basically removing Premiere edits from original broadcasts (since this was during the period when squeezing 40 songs into a three-hour window were becoming too much of a hassle).

It's basically removing Premiere edits from original broadcasts (since this was during the period when squeezing 40 songs into a three-hour window were becoming too much of a hassle). Ken Martin (operations mgr of 'TOJ and converter of all those early '70s shows to stereo) earned the right to do that for his local listeners. dL

I looked up past Premiere retro AT40s and the B shows make this the second time we've gotten 1970 and 1988 in the same week (the first was in 2017). This of course is only possible in July and early August.
And while the B's are at the polar opposite ends of the spectrum, the A's cluster right in the center with 1979 and 1980.

Premiere optional extras: Hour #1: "I Get Around" - The Beach Boys (original AT40 extra) Hour #2: "Keep It Comin' Love" - KC & The Sunshine Band (NR) Hour #3: "The Greatest Love Of All" - George Benson (NR) "Keep It Comin' Love'" and "The Greatest Love Of All" actually debuted on that week's Hot 100 at #82 and #94, respectively. (And is the 1975 music really so different from 1977 that it needs a B?) I wonder why 1975 needed to have a B show to begin with? WPNC, which usually takes the later year in 1970's A/B offerings, have gone with 1975 every time (OTOH, they went with the "A" show of 1971 over 1978 last week and they went with 1972 over 1976 a few weeks before).

These stations play the 70s 'B' option when available: WPAC, WQMV, WIHG, KLDZ, and WVWP (Sunday, they play 80s 'B' option on Saturday)
