Was this the period between Casey leaving AT40 and starting Casey's Top 40? There was also another week in which Hall & Oates hosted the show.

"On Broadway" by George Benson (which I mentioned earlier in this thread). Story was about the song's writer Jerry Lieber (who was white) who as a child used to work in a black neighborhood in Baltimore. Lieber was one-half of the Lieber and Stoller songwriting duo responsible for songs like "On Broadway", "Charlie Brown" (personal favorite) and some of Elvis' early hits.

Original extras: None
Premiere optional extras: "An Everlasting Love" - Andy Gibb "Shame" - Evelyn "Champagne" King "Hopelessly Devoted To You" - Olivia Newton-John

Three songs debuted this week: "You Should Hear How She Talks About You" - Melissa Manchester "If The Love Fits, Wear It" - Leslie Pearl "Out Of Work" - Gary U.S. Bonds
Falling off this week: "Body Language" - Queen "After The Glitter Fades" - Stevie Nicks "Hope You Like Me Like You Say You Do" - Huey Lewis & The News

Premiere optional extras: "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" - The Clash "Paperlate" - Genesis "Think I'm In Love" - Eddie Money "Valley Girl" - Frank and Moon Unit Zappa
BTW it looks like Mike Kasem is no longer with Premiere. There is some unidentified voiceover guy on KQLL as I'm typing this.
CORRECTION: Mike did voice this week's 1970s show. The mystery voiceover guy did the 7/10/1982 show. Premiere is fooling with me.

By the way, WTIC in Hartford aired a 1979 countdown in full from 8/4 this Sunday. I don't know if Premiere is airing the 1979 countdown of the PD at TIC had a copy from that chart.
Any info on that?

For the record, I obtained a copy of the 8/4/1979 show from WTIC and it sounded like it was done in-house (God forbid Premiere would ever attempt a four-hour AT40 show from 1979). Sirius/XM is airing the 8/4/1979 show this weekend.
As for this week's Premiere offerings (depending if your station is playing these)...
AT40: The '70s features 8/4/1973 (not 1979). Premiere ran this show last year. WILZ in Tampa, Fla. was among the new affiliates welcomed by Casey that week.
Three songs debuted this week: "Gypsy Man" - War "Young Love/A Million To One" - Donny Osmond ("Young Love" played on this show). "The Hurt" - Cat Stevens
The songs that fell off this week: "Doing It To Death" - Fred Wesley & The JBs "One Of A Kind (Love Affair)" - The Spinners "I'll Always Love My Mama" - The Intruders (would re-enter AT40 the following week)
Original extras: None
Premiere optional extras: "My Maria" - B.W. Stevenson "We're An American Band" - Grand Funk Railroad "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" - Elton John
AT40: The '80s showcases 8/16/1980:
Four songs made their debut this week: "Late In The Evening" - Paul Simon "All Over The World" - Electric Light Orchestra "You'll Accomp'ny Me" - Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band "Don't Ask Me Why" - Billy Joel
Four songs fell off that week: "I Can't Let Go" - Linda Ronstadt "The Rose" - Bette Midler "Steal Away" - Robbie Dupree "Gimme Some Lovin'" - The Blues Brothers
Original extras: None
Long Distance Dedications: "Colour My World" - Chicago "My Eyes Adored You" - Frankie Valli
Archive extras: "Stay" - Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs "Are You Lonesome Tonight" - Elvis Presley "Wonderland By Night" - Bert Kaempfert Premiere did play all three of the Archive songs this week.
Premiere optional extras: "Another One Bites The Dust" - Queen "He's So Shy" - The Pointer Sisters "Jesse" - Carly Simon "I'm Alright" - Kenny Loggins

- :O at that big drop for Carole King. It made me wonder if that was the biggest drop ever within the countdown, but then I remembered how often the plunge "Midnight Blue" took has been mentioned, so I checked what that drop was because I couldn't remember. That one was 12-37...one spot more.
- But :O at Kenny Rogers taking an equal-sized plunge...can anyone think of another AT40 with more than one song taking a 20-or-more spot plunge within the countdown?
- And "In America" makes three with a drop equal to that of "Midnight Blue". :O (Holy gazoombas!!!)
- BTW, the song was incorrectly listed as peaking at 15 back on Page 6, as was "Lookin' For Love" incorrectly listed with a peak of 13.
- I likely butchered the spelling of the girl's name in the second LDD.

Rune, I don't think anybody outside of Japan would have gotten that girl's name right (My guess would've been "Kawrie"; don't think I could have done any better).
