WTIC, which aired the oddball 1979 show last week, aired the 1984 show this week. They've been airing the show for 5 weeks and they're 2-for-5 on airing the correct one. How difficult should this be, really?

Here are the scheduled classic AT40 shows for this week. Note: I will not be putting up the optional extras by Premiere at this time because I do not have the ones for this week's 1980's show. Also note that KQLL in Tulsa began their High School Football series last night so we likely may not hear "AT40: The '80s" on Friday nights for the next three months.
This week's AT40: The '70s is from 9/11/1971:
Five songs debued this week: "Superstar" - The Carpenters "Make It Funky" - James Brown "Sweet Cty Woman" - The Stampeders "K-Jee" - The Nite-liters "Surrender" - Diana Ross
Five songs fell off this week: "You've Got A Friend" - James Taylor "Indian Reservation" - The Raiders "What The World Needs Now Is Love/Abraham, Martin and John" - Tom Clay "Draggin' The Line" - Tommy James "Maybe Tomorrow" - The Jackson Five
Original extras: "You Can't Hurry Love" - The Supremes (This song will not be played by Premiere, not even as an optional extra)
AT40: The '80s this week is from 9/3/1983:
Five songs made their debut this week: "Big Log" - Robert Plant "Tell Her No" - Juice Newton "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" - Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson "Burnin' Down The House" - Talking Heads "Hold Me 'Til The Morning Comes" - Paul Anka
Five songs fell off this week: "Flashdance...What A Feeling" - Irene Cara "Electric Avenue" - Eddy Grant "Never Gonna Let You Go" - Sergio Mendes "All Time High" - Rita Coolidge "Saved By Zero" - The Fixx
Original extras: None
Long Distance Dedications: "Killing Me Softly With His Song" - Roberta Flack "Hello Again" - Neil Diamond

VERY irritated at WCRZ...they went to commercial after #3, which always happens...no problem. Well, they did their top-of-the-hour station ID several minutes early, and after that..."Raspberry Beret" started playing. That's right, they cut off the show after #3! Not cool, guys... >:(
P.S. They have been getting pretty heavy on the '84 shows lately (as evidenced by the fact that five songs in this show were also in the '84 show from June!)...

No big deal...I always enjoy and appreciate these weekly flashbacks.
I do have one question, though. Why is this thread in the AC section? I realize today's AC has morphed from soft rock to retro Pop with a handful of suitable more recent tunes tossed in for years at a stretch. (How many minutes has it been since your local AC station has played "Drift Away" again?) But, AT40 was a Pop, not AC, countdown. Would the Nostalgia Board perhaps be a better home for this thread?

"I realize today's AC has morphed from soft rock to retro Pop with a handful of suitable more recent tunes tossed in for years at a stretch." You answered your own question.
