Ironically, they haven't given him the same treatment in either of the two 1976 shows they've aired since then, even though "Dream Weaver" and "Love Is Alive" were both bigger hits. Actually they did play "Dream Weaver" as an optional in the 9/4/76 show earlier this year.

My local station (93.3 The Bus in Columbus) has gone wall-to-wall xmas and I need a source for listening to the show. I want to be able to listen in the same time slot but I'll poke around and see what I can work out.

Here are this weekend's shows. "AT40: The '70s" this week presents 11/27/1971 which last aired in 2011. ... Of course the big news here was that, while the 2011 broadcast had been remastered by Shannon Lynn in the original, monaural format, this 2023 airing featured Ken Martin's glorious "mono2stereo conversion" production.

Somebody messed up in 12/6/1975 After #38 Casey answered the question from Russell Nut about the singles artist in the 1970s with most weeks in top 10. The same question was answered after #6 was played.
According to the cue sheet after #6 EXTRA: THE NIGHT THEY DROVE OLD DIXIE Dm'lN - Joan Baez was supposed to be played.

Regarding the 12/20/86 show, I wonder how often the same artist has had the biggest mover and biggest dropper in the same show.

So far today none of the regular stations that play the B show is playing 1972. WPAC, WXXM, KOKZ KLDZ, WPNC, WQMV are all playing 1978.
I already have 1972 yearend 75-41. I try tomorrow but if not, WTOJ is playing 1972 Next Sunday Jan 7 at 9am.

Will there be an extra next week for David Soul who died 1/4/23? His song was from 1976. Will they schedule shows based on such events?

I wonder why they chose Say Say Say as an extra for 1983. Given that the song was #1 in the 1984 survey, it would have made more sense to me if they picked another top 20 peaking song from 1983 instead.

Often they pick a major hit that was on the way up the chart at the cutoff and barely missed the year-end countdown.

I could not find a station that played 1/16/1971 and I went through my list of B stations Sat and Sun. They all played 1979 Interesting. It's only one week but if it starts to become a trend, maybe Premiere should consider dropping the need for a "B" show whenever four-hour 1978 or 1979 shows are featured. My $.02 As for this weekend, only one '70s and one '80s show for this weekend so a rare single post for the weekend preview. "AT40: The '70s" this week presents 1/24/1976. Here is a prior repost: Five songs debuted this week: "Deep Purple" - Donny & Marie Osmond (#36) "The Tracks Of My Tears" - Linda Ronstadt (#37) "Let The Music Play" - Barry White (#38) "The White Knight" - Cleddus Maggard & The Citizens Band (#39) "Love Or Leave" - The Spinners (#40) Five songs fell out of the Top 40 this week: "Let's Do It Again" - The Staple Singers (#31) "Hurricane (Part 1)" - Bob Dylan (#33) "For The Love Of You (Parts 1 and 2)" - The Isley Brothers (#34) "Let's Live Together" - The Road Apples (#35) "Fly, Robin, Fly" - The Silver Convention (#39) Biggest Mover: "Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)" - The Bee Gees (#40 to #32) Biggest Dropper: "Fox On The Run" - Sweet (#5 to #18) Original extras: "Last Train To Clarksville" - The Monkees "Sunshine Superman" - Donovan These two will be played as optional extras this week. Premiere optional extras: Hour #1: "Last Train To Clarksville" - The Monkees Hour #2: "Dream Weaver" - Gary Wright (#60) Hour #3: "Sunshine Superman" - Donovan "AT40: The '80s" this week presents 1/30/1988.
