The 1st to last #1 record is 33+ years for Cher
I Got You Babe (8/1965) to Believe (3/1999)
If we just look at solo hits as they did on the '72 show then I would go with Cher - the solo years

2) Regarding the longest span of time between first and last #1 - Frank Sinatra with 21 years (From 1946 with "Five Minutes More" and to 1967 with his duet with Nancy Sinatra called "Somethin' Stupid"), but would this record be broken in later years? Is it between first #1, and last #1, or is it the longest gap between #1 songs? (Or do those happen to be the same in this case?) Reason I ask is, on last year's 10/25/86 show, the question was the longest gap between #1s, and the answer happened to be that exact same timespan, between "Five Minutes More" and "Somethin' Stupid".

It was first to last (as a lead artist - not a featured one)
But even the gaps between #1's has been broken since too

Dropping out is: "Lovergirl" by Teena Marie (LW: 25), "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon (LW: 36), and "Somebody" by Bryan Adams (LW: 37). NOTES: - This week's Station of the Week: WJJR.
- Gee, not a lot of upward movement, is there? Songs don't seem to have a problem moving down this week, but going up is like having to deal with a traffic jam. Guess that was the side effect of having "We Are the World" on top, eh?
- That different soft #40 jingle is back again this week. It's also heard on weeks such as 4-5-86 and 9-13-86, but a better-sounding soft #40 jingle (at least IMO) is heard on the Top 100 of 1985. Kind of wonder why there were two out there...
- Speaking of softer jingles, there's quite a few of them this week - in fact, had the final hour started with #10 (it started at #9 instead), there'd have been one to start every hour!
- Another one from the "Diminishing Returns" Files (see also 2-9, last year): Two Top 10 hits, and a third almost Top 10, drop out this week, and replacing them were three non-Top 10s. Ouch.
- Story behind "Theme From New York, New York" as an Extra: From 1980, it's the most recent of Frank Sinatra's 115 chart appearances. When Frank was 17, he began his career taking any singing jobs that he could, his goal simply being to stay active as much as he could.
- #1 on the Country chart: "There's No Way" by Alabama
- #1 on the Dance chart: "Fresh"
- #1 on the Soul chart: "We Are the World"
- #1 on the Album chart: We Are the World by USA For Africa

OK fair enough
A couple examples though of exceeding Frank Sinatra's record, aside from that one
Beach Boys Kokomo in '88 comes to mind
But on a related note, since AT40 did not exist until 1970, the original answer of Frank Sinatra is invalid as well

I got too distracted. Interestingly enough I spent a lot of free time cataloging the comics from the Chicago Tribune in the mid-1970's (including the comics they ran from the former Chicago Today). OK enough stalling. Here are this weekend's scheduled AT40 shows AT40: The '70s this week features 5/11/1974 Five songs debuted this week: "Let's Get Married" - Al Green (#34) "Sundown" - Gordon Lightfoot (#36) "Billy, Don't Be A Hero" - Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods (#38) "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)" - Olivia Newton-John (#39) "Standing At The End Of The Line" - Lobo (#40) Five songs fell off this week: "A Very Special Love Song" - Charlie Rich (#31) "Tell Me A Lie" - Sami Jo (#34) "I'm A Train" - Albert Hammond (#37) "Thanks For Saving My Life" - Billy Paul (#38) "Touch A Hand, Make A Friend" - The Staple Singers (#40) Original extras: "(We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock" - Bill Haley & The Comets This song was played because it was making a comeback thanks to a new TV show that featured Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph and the Fonz (otherwise known as "Happy Days"). Premiere is playing this song as one of the optional extras. Premiere optional extras: Hour #1 : "(We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock" - Bill Haley & His Comets (original AT40 extra; is also #46 this week) Hour #2: "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" - Steely Dan (#84; debuted) Hour #3: "Haven't Got Time For The Pain" - Carly Simon (#80; debuted) Call me lazy but I am reposting this post from two years ago because Premiere is re-airing the 5/11/1974 show complete with the same optional extras. Now on to the '80s show. You may have heard it on WWIS already (well, I didn't because I was working and my parents were on vacation so I had to take the bus home; I also did some errands afterwards). It's another repeat BTW its 5/14/1988. It aired back in 2009. Six songs debuted this week: "The Valley Road" - Bruce Hornsby & The Range (#32) "Alphabet St." - Prince (#33) "Kiss Me Deadly" - Lita Ford (#35) "Nite And Day" - Al B. Sure! (#38) "Da Butt" - E.U. (#39) "Dirty Diana" - Michael Jackson (#40) Six songs fell out of the Top 40 this week: "One Step Up" - Bruce Springsteen (#19) "I Saw Him Standing There" - Tiffany (#20) "Man In The Mirror" - Michael Jackson (#31) "Rocket 2 U" - The Jets (#34) "Ritual" - Dan Reed Network (#38) "Endless Summer Nights" - Richard Marx (#40) At least unlike Casey sometimes (especially on this program) I always mention the songs and the acts falling out of the Top 40. :) Biggest Mover: "One More Try" - George Michael (#14 to #4) Biggest Dropper: "I Wish I Had A Girl" - Henry Lee Summer (#23 to #36) Original extras: None Long Distance Dedications: "The Search Is Over" - Survivor "What A Wonderful World" - Louis Armstrong Premiere optional extras (if you listened on WWIS, you had to be surprised): "Don't Worry, Be Happy" - Bobby McFerrin "Look Away" - Chicago "Bad Medicine" - Bon Jovi "Wild Wild West" - Escape Club

But since AT40: The 80's is playing late 1988 Optional Extras this week, will Premiere do 1989 songs as Optional Extras if there's 1 more 1988 AT40 episode left to air this 2012 year (unless Premiere decides to air the late June 1989 Debbie Gibson guest hosted AT40 in the AT40: The 80's package which might be the only show in the Shadoe Stevens 1989 era AT40 that Premiere could air, but I won't expect Premiere to launch a seperate show called "American Top 40: The Shadoe Stevens Era" which would have rebroadcasts of August 1988 to January 1995 Shadoe Stevens AT40 shows, including the AT40 shows from July 1994 to January 1995 that were not heard in the USA but in other countries when ABC/Watermark withdrew the old AT40 from American radio airwaves).

Thanks for this weekend's info belatedly, jdelachjr2002. I have no idea right now but I'll let you know.

I personally wouldn't expect Premiere to air any Shadoe Stevens shows. If they ever go into 1990s countdowns, it's easier to see them airing "Casey's Top 40", which Casey Kasem hosted for (then) Westwood One from 1989-1998, perhaps (preferably) interspersed with his 1998-99 AT40s.

Well, here's how that re-airing turned out. In my case it wasn't really a "re-run", since I was forced to miss it the first time around due to being at a conference in Arizona that weekend. May 14, 1988 40 -- Michael Jackson - Dirty Diana (1) 39 -- E.U. - Da Butt (35) 38 -- Al B. Sure! - Nite and Day (7) 37 39 Pretty Poison - Nighttime (36) 36 23 Henry Lee Summer - I Wish I Had a Girl (20) 35 -- Lita Ford - Kiss Me Deadly (12) 34 27 Jermaine Stewart - Say it Again (27) 33 -- Prince - Alphabet St. (8) 32 -- Bruce Hornsby & The Range - The Valley Road (5) 31 37 Glass Tiger - I'm Still Searching (31)30 35 Brenda K. Starr - I Still Believe (13) Flashback Extra: Bobby McFerrin "Don't Worry, Be Happy"29 36 Debbie Gibson - Foolish Beat (1) 28 29 Paul Carrack - One Good Reason (28)27 32 Cher - We All Sleep Alone (14) 26 17 Pebbles - Girlfriend (5) 25 33 The Jets - Make it Real (4) 24 12 INXS - Devil Inside (2) LDD: Survivor "The Search is Over" from Craig to Stacy, who's been a friend to him over the past five years through all the girls he's become interested in...only for him to finally realize that she was the one he really wanted23 28 Times Two - Strange But True (21) 22 22 Toto - Pamela (22)21 30 Belinda Carlisle - Circle in the Sand (7) Flashback Extra: Chicago "Look Away"20 26 Suave - My Girl (20)19 15 Billy Ocean - Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car (1) 18 24 Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Dreaming (16) 17 25 Rick Astley - Together Forever (1) 16 21 Hall & Oates - Everything Your Heart Desires (3) 15 07 Taylor Dayne - Prove Your Love (7) 14 18 Brenda Russell featuring Joe Esposito - Piano in the Dark (6) 13 16 The Deele - Two Occasions (10) 12 13 White Lion - Wait (8) 11 04 Whitney Houston - Where Do Broken Hearts Go (1) 10 11 Foreigner - I Don't Want to Live Without You (5) Flashback Extra: Bon Jovi "Bad Medicine"09 09 Icehouse - Electric Blue (7) LDD: Louis Armstrong "What a Wonderful World" from teenager Camboo Su, who grew up in Cambodia in the midst of war induced by the Khmer Rouge, to his aunt, who provided refuge to Camboo and his siblings and later made it out of Cambodia, to his family, and to his family's current sponsor08 10 Samantha Fox - Naughty Girls (Need Love Too) (3) 07 03 Aerosmith - Angel (3) 06 06 The Pet Shop Boys - Always on My Mind (4) 05 05 Natalie Cole - Pink Cadillac (5)04 14 George Michael - One More Try (1)03 01 Terence Trent D'Arby - Wishing Well (1) 02 08 Johnny Hates Jazz - Shattered Dreams (2)Flashback Extra: The Escape Club "Wild, Wild West"01 02 Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine - Anything For You (1)[Casey calls "Dirty Diana" the follow-up to his recent #1 song, "Man in the Mirror", 'which falls out of the countdown this week' (LW: 31).] And five other songs also drop out: "Endless Summer Nights" (LW: 40), "Ritual" (LW: 38), "Rocket 2 U" (LW: 34), "I Saw Him Standing There" (LW: 20), and "One Step Up" (LW: 19). NOTES: - This week's Station of the Week: WZWZ.
- For whatever reason, Premiere elected to use songs that hit #1 during the months that Shadoe Stevens was host in 1988 for the extras this week. I have to say, I don't get that at all...they didn't do that the first time this show aired, back in 2009 - the extras that week were "New Sensation", "The Flame", "Beds Are Burning", and "Pour Some Sugar on Me".
- A rare example of a show from this time where Casey skipped the recap of last week's Top 3 - he said there was lots of chart action this week, including the new ones from Prince and Michael Jackson, and that Michael leads off the countdown, then saying, "Let's get right to it!"
- Seems kind of odd to put the first LDD after "Devil Inside", when they could've put it after "Make it Real" or even "Strange But True".
- Only five segments aired in the second hour...but that last segment appears to possibly be the original final two segments spliced together by Premiere; the original cue sheet for this week's show has the final two segments as songs 23 and 22, then a break, then 21 and the end-of-hour. I have to think that second hour station mentions would've been before #21 - curiously, they're not listed anywhere in the first two hours, though they did happen in the first, and station welcomes were listed to start the second hour.
- Interesting that "My Girl" received the softer jingle.
- Even more interesting that there was a "The Boss" medley in the final hour, when the real "Boss" fell completely out of the countdown this week (from 19! :o )
- Yes, #1 had the last segment all by itself this week. According to the cue sheet from 3-19 two months ago (like this show, also originally aired in 2009), that happened that week as well, but I don't remember if it aired that way back in '09, and my post from that week, a WCRZ airing in my early months of hearing "The 80s", certainly doesn't tell the tale.
- Topping off the quirks in this week's show, is Casey's story of artists whose names he's mispronounced. That's some way to lead into the new #1 song in the land!
- #1 on the Country chart: "I'm Gonna Get Ya" by Eddy Raven
- #1 on the Dance chart: "Instinctual" by Imagination
- #1 on the Black Singles chart: "Nite and Day"
- #1 on the Album chart: Faith by George Michael

BTW apparently I didn't list the biggest moving and dropping songs in the recap back in 2010 so here they are: Biggest Mover: "My Girl Bill" - Jim Stafford (#39 to #29) Biggest Dropper: "The Lord's Prayer" - Sister Janet Mead (#25 to #34) Of course Casey mentioned Jim Stafford's big move but not Sister Janet Mead's big drop For "Rock Around The Clock", Casey mentioned that it broke the all-time record for overall weeks charted at 40. Casey also mentioned the song was at #46. As I mentioned earlier, the reason for "Rock Around The Clock"'s re-release was due to its' inclusion in the new ABC TV series "Happy Days". That theme was used for its' first two seasons. #1 Soul: "Dancing Machine" #1 Country: "(Is It Wrong) For Loving You" - Sonny James #1 Album: "The Sting" soundtrack

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY 2012, AT40 AND CASEY KASEM FANS! DO SOMETHING NICE FOR YOUR MOTHER TONIGHT!

The droppers are: "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell (LW: 37), "Show Me" by The Pretenders (LW: 31), "Automatic" by The Pointer Sisters (LW: 30), and "Don't Answer Me" by The Alan Parsons Project (LW: 21). NOTES: - This could be the last show posting from me for a while. I start a summer job next week, and...while I might be able to still catch the shows each week with the right station, being able to post about them is another matter entirely. But...we'll see.
- It's the other soft #40 jingle again. The one they use the very next week (with Charlie Van Dyke hosting) is different from this one.
- Interesting that Casey noted the week's Biggest Dropper, seeing as that's only a 9-notch drop this week; I've heard weeks with drops as large as 20 go unnoted as Biggest.
- A somewhat rare example of a week where, yes - the #1 Country, Soul, and Dance songs were all songs also charting in the 40. In this case, they're also all in the Top 5, too! :o
- #1 on the Country chart: "To All the Girls I've Loved Before"
- #1 on the Soul chart: "Hello"
- #1 on the Dance & Disco chart: "Let's Hear it For the Boy"
- #1 on the Album chart: The Footloose soundtrack

- For "Vincent", Casey told the autobiographical story of Vincent Van Gogh including how he chopped his ear off. - In the great lengths it took to squeeze 40 songs into three hours in the late 1970's "Hotel California" got ridiculously shortened. Even part of the instrumental open was cut. - Early in the chart life of "Got To Give It Up", Casey played Part II of this song (including this week) which sounded mostly instrumental with the exception of crowd noise. This is why we more commonly hear Part I Today. - 13 was clearly not a lucky number for two of the married couples in this countdown (McCoo/Davis & Captain/Tennille) - Even more unlucky was Climax Blues Band which was the only song amongst this week's Top 9 to not have peaked at #1 - "Solsbury Hill" is now the second song to be played as an optional extra for both '70s and '80s versions. The only other song to achieve that feat was "Old Time Rock 'n Roll". - And finally, when recapping the other #1's Casey only mentioned the #1 soul song and the #1 album but not the #1 country song (see below) #1 Soul: Whodunit #1 Country: "Luckenbach, Texas (Back To The Basics Of Love)" - Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson #1 Album: Rumors - Fleetwood Mac

WMET later became besides mainstream top 40/rock switched to soft AC, then became WNUA new age/smooth jazz, and now it's MEGA 95.5 FM with a latino music format. Ironically, WMET then WNUA now MEGA 95.5 became owned by Clear Channel, which owned Premiere Radio Networks, distributors of AT40: The 70's!) * FINALLY: Casey gave us a challenge for Shalamar's "Uptown Festival" medley of Motown songs to match the original artists with the songs in the medley, the results: 1) "Going to a Go Go" (originally done by the Miracles) 2) "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" (originally done by the Four Tops) 3) "Uptight" (originally done by Stevie Wonder) 4) "Stop In The Name Of Love" (originally done by the Supremes) 5) "It's the Same Old Song" (originally done by the Four Tops)

It's likely WMET aired AT40 up to that point.

Here is a commentary on this week's show, which I've posted on a weekly basis on several different message boards for the past five years.
American Top 40: The 80s - May 26, 2012
This week’s presentation: May 31, 1986
Cool; about time for a 1986 show. This year, they seem to be skimping on 1983, but that's not so bad, as that year is currently one of the most played years. It'll likely pull into first place sometime in June, though hopefully not next week. I'll explain that a little later. Meanwhile, here is my commentary for this week's show:
Droppers: MANIC MONDAY - THE BANGLES (40) - Great song! Shame that it fell off. I preferred their next hit, "If She Knew What She Wants", but we'll probably miss it, as it would hit the chart two weeks later and lasted only five weeks on the chart. WHERE DO THE CHILDREN GO - THE HOOTERS (38) - Wow, this one sure didn't last long! This was the only "one-week wonder" on AT40 of 1986. I thought it was pretty decent, but preferred their two other Top 40 hits. AMERICAN STORM - BOB SEGER (36) - Great song! Shame that it fell off, and even more of a shame that we missed it this year. This song sounded kind of a cross between Seger's 1983 hit "Even Now" and Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run". HARLEM SHUFFLE - THE ROLLING STONES (34) - Meh, no big loss. I never was a big fan of this song.
40: WHEN THE HEART RULES THE MIND – GTR (debut) - Great song! Sounds a lot like something by Yes (as Steven Howe from that band was one of the members of GTR). 39: SLEDGEHAMMER – PETER GABRIEL (debut) - This is OK, but quite overplayed. 38: LIKE A ROCK – BOB SEGER (debut) - Great song! This one always reminds me of the Chevy truck commercial 37: THE LOVE PARADE – DREAM ACADEMY (debut) - Good song, but not quite as good as “Life In A Northern Town”. Interesting that a psychic suggest that they name their band A-ha, and the band who did take that name hit the charts about the time that the Dream Academy did (in fact, there were a few weeks that both acts were on the chart at the same time, earlier in 1986). 36: KISS – PRINCE AND THE REVOLUTION (30) - Not a fan of this one. One of my least favorite songs by him/them. 35: ROUGH BOY – ZZ TOP (24) - Great song! One of my favorites from them! LDD: TIME AFTER TIME – CYNDI LAUPER - Good song, but, as stated last week, my least favorite of her 1984 hits. 34: NEVER AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME - SADE (23) - Great song! Oleta Adams’ “Rhythm Of Life” reminds me a lot of this song. 33: LIKE NO OTHER NIGHT - .38 SPECIAL (37) - Great song! One of my favorites from them! 32: YOUR WILDEST DREAMS – THE MOODY BLUES (39) - Great song! Possibly my favorite of their Top 40 hits. 31: TUFF ENUFF – FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS (35) - Pretty good song, considering I’m not a huge fan of southern rock. OPTIONAL EXTRA: INVISIBLE TOUCH - GENESIS - Great song! Definitely my favorite song from the album of the same name, which generated five hits over the next year, all of them hitting the Top Five. This one went all the way to the top. 30: TOMORROW DOESN’T MATTER TONIGHT – STARSHIP (26) - Great song! I felt this one was underrated. A great example of “Third Single Syndrome”.29: VIENNA CALLING – FALCO (33) - This song wasn’t bad, but nothing exceptional. I can see why this didn’t do as well as “Rock Me Amadeus”. 28: ALL THE THINGS SHE SAID – SIMPLE MINDS (29) - Not bad, but it seemed that they tried to make this one sound like their previous hits. 27: MOTHER’S TALK – TEARS FOR FEARS (27) - Good song, but I preferred “Head Over Heels”. 26: RAIN ON THE SCARECROW – JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP (31) - Good song, though far from being his best. 25: WHO’S JOHNNY – EL DEBARGE (32) - Great song! One of my favorites by him, with or without his family group. 24: ADDICTED TO LOVE – ROBERT PALMER (17) - I used to like this song, but overplay kinda did it in. It still remains one of the most overplayed songs of the 1980s. 23: I WANNA BE A COWBOY – BOYS DON’T CRY (28) - Good song, but kinda weird. 22: HOLDING BACK THE YEARS – SIMPLY RED (25) - When this song first came out, it was my favorite song in the world. Unfortunately, like the Robert Palmer song, overplay tarnished it. I prefer their lower peaking songs, as well as their AC-only songs (i.e. “You’ve Got It” and “Maybe Someday”). 21: WHY CAN’T THIS BE LOVE – VAN HALEN (11) - Great song! This is the one that kicked off the “Van Hagar” era. 20: YOUR LOVE – THE OUTFIELD (15) - Good song, but I preferred their next hit, “All The Love In The World”. OPTIONAL EXTRA: LOVE TOUCH - ROD STEWART - Good song, but not his best. Kind of weird that this song was in the 50s on the Hot 100 when it had already hit the Top 40 on the R&R chart. Come to think of it, the same thing happened to his next hit after this, “Another Heartache”. That song actually PEAKED in the 50s on BB and at #38 on R&R. 19: NO ONE IS TO BLAME – HOWARD JONES (22) - Great song! This one turned out to be his biggest hit ever (at least on R&R, where it went to #1). 18: TAKE ME HOME – PHIL COLLINS (7) - Great song! This was usually his final song during his concerts. 17: NOTHIN’ AT ALL – HEART (20) - Ah, I’m sure our friend JessieLou cranked this one up! As for me, this was OK, but I preferred the other singles from their self-titled album. 16: BAD BOY – MIAMI SOUND MACHINE (8) - Great song! One that always takes me back to the spring of 1986! 15: A DIFFERENT CORNER – GEORGE MICHAEL (21) - No. Just no. 14: WEST END GIRLS – PET SHOP BOYS (4) - Great song, though I preferred most of their other songs (yes, because of overplay). 13: THERE’LL BE SAD SONGS (TO MAKE YOU CRY) – BILLY OCEAN (19) - Great song! This song was inspired by a friend being moved to tears by one of Ocean’s previous hits, “Suddenly”. LDD: FAITHFULLY – JOURNEY - This song is another overplayed song - so much that it occasionally appears in the Top Ten AC recurrent list! It was, however, fitting for the dedication. 12: MOVE AWAY – CULTURE CLUB (16) - Good song. This was their last Top 40 hit as a group (Boy George did hit the Top 40 one more time in 1993 with “The Crying Game”). 11: CRUSH ON YOU – JETS (18) - Meh, not a fan of this one. Possibly my least favorite of their Top 40 hits.10: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY – JANET JACKSON (6) - And this is one of my least favorite of Janet’s Top 40 hits (along with “Control”, “Rhythm Nation” and “Alright”). OPTIONAL EXTRA: ONE HIT TO THE BODY - THE ROLLING STONES - Wow, this was an odd choice for an Optional Extra! I’ll bet this one prevented everyone from getting a perfect score predicting the extras! As for my opinion of this song, it was pretty good, but I preferred their earlier hits. 9: BE GOOD TO YOURSELF - JOURNEY (13) - Good song, though my least favorite song from Raised On Radio. 8: IS IT LOVE – MR. MISTER (14) - Good song. Their third and last Top 40 hit. 7: SOMETHING ABOUT YOU – LEVEL 42 (12) - Great song! Glad this song made the Top Ten, on both BB and R&R (because I felt sure it would have just missed on the latter). 6: ALL I NEED IS A MIRACLE – MIKE & THE MECHANICS (10) - Great song! In 1986, their songs became progressively better than the last (as their next hit, “Taken In” remains to be one of my favorite songs by them). 5: I CAN’T WAIT – NU SHOOZ (9) - Meh, I preferred Stevie Nicks’ recent hit of the same name. 4: IF YOU LEAVE – OMD (5) - Oddly enough, as much as this sounds like “So In Love”, I like THAT song much better. This song was quite overplayed (still is today). LDD: YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND - CAROLE KING - My favorite of the two versions of this song that I’ve heard. Very appropriate for the dedication, too! 3: ON MY OWN – PATTI LABELLE & MICHAEL McDONALD (3) - Great song! Despite its huge move the week before, it didn’t move an inch this week. However, it did make it to #1 - and stayed there for three weeks - one of the biggest hits of that summer! OPTIONAL EXTRA: DREAMS - VAN HALEN - Wow, another odd choice for an extra, especially since Van Halen already had a song on the countdown this week. But I’m not complaining, as this was a great song! 2: LIVE TO TELL - MADONNA (2) - Great song! This song would hit #1 the following week. 1: GREATEST LOVE OF ALL – WHITNEY HOUSTON (1) - Great song! Definitely one of my favorite songs from her!
Predictions for next week: I’m going to go with June 6, 1981. That would take care of all the “would-be” AT40 Flashback shows (as the three others have already been done). Failing that, I’ll go with the June 6, 1987 show. I sure hope we don’t hear the June 4, 1983 show again, as that would be the fourth airing of that one. If it is that one, I’ll likely post another “recycled commentary”.

jdelachjr: Did you forget to mention that there's another AT40: The 80's show some AT40: The 80's affiliates may play this weekend: The Memorial Day weekend 1988 AT40 episode of the Top 40 Newcomers of the 1980's. Thanks for the reminder. I wasn't sure if there were any U.S. Stations airing this show but I did see a confirm from WKIX saying they would air this show however WKIX does not stream. Keep your ears open.
