Interesting article. If I'm interpreting it right, did they not have a president before?

This is from last year, and he's off the website. He was in high school when he signed the deal. CountryAirCheck nor his representives would make a mistake since he never released anything for Valory yet. Country Aircheck Page 3 Under Tape Room MusicThat is the latest that says Conner's new music would be released on Valory Music.

Really excited that Brett signed a U.S. record deal!! He's got real talent. Maybe he'll appear on a Brad Paisley album someday.

With the recent news of promotional staff being added Foundry Records, RECORDS gaining a President in Ash Bowers, and the recent Verge Records signing of Brett Kissel; are these labels to be considered on the same level of Triple Tigers and Big Loud yet or still rather small independent label with not as much success as those I've mentioned?

Another independent artist signed. The more Independent or unsigned artists could help purge older songs from radio faster.

I wonder if we could sign some independent posters here at Pulse that maybe that could help purge nonsense posters from here faster.

Verge isn’t some huge label either. Exactly! In addition, Verge went on record with MusicRow to discuss their digital-first strategy. They are not focused on sending their artists to radio.

According to Music Row, Chuck Wicks has signed with Verge Records. With the recent signings of Brett Kissel and Rayne Johnson, I wonder if they are trying to do more than release their artists' songs digitally.

With the recent signings of Brett Kissel and Rayne Johnson, I wonder if they are trying to do more than release their artists' songs digitally. Trace Adkins released a single a couple weeks ago on Verge and Rayne Johnson is set to have a single impact on October 12th as well with Verge. Verge, however, is handling distribution for Rayne Johnson. Mountain Road Entertainment will do the actual promoting for him. I don't see any single doing anything but they are releasing songs to radio, technically. Chuck was affiliated with Cumulus radio, which doomed his past singles with Blaster, but even though he's not with Cumulus anymore, I don't see Wicks getting another radio hit. I'm glad he's found himself on another label though to make more music.

Kellie pickler needs to sign with verge records. She needs to back to the style of her first two albums.

I get her first 2 albums were more successful but I myself vastly prefer her music on her latter two albums as her first 2 albums for me were just fluff pop country that was pretty indistinguishable.

I agree with you but I do wonder why kellie pickler hasn’t released any music. Is it because she has no label and can’t afford to on her own? Or for some other reason? Fans want new music even just a 4-5 song ep would be nice

Kellie Pickler fought hard to be able to release music like 100 Proof. There is 0 chance she ever goes back to the sound of stuff like "Best Days of Your Life" again. I continue to wonder though why she seems to have no interest in making music anymore. She had a reality show and then also a talk show, which kept her in the public eye and would've easily given her the chance to plug and promote new music, even without a label for promotion. At this point, I have reason to believe she must just be content with resting on her laurels. Maybe she'll surprise us with something in the future, but she's obviously not still actively in the music industry these days.

Music Row has reported that Jaden Hamilton has signed with Sony Music Nashville. In addition, Sony Music Nashville has parted ways with Robert Counts.

Is there a source that says Robert Counts was dropped? Because that news honestly makes 0 sense. "What Do I Know" hasn't even been out that long and had been taking off at a quick pace for a new artist and was already closing in on the top 40.

He's no longer on the Arista or Sony website, and Hamilton has been added. This just seems odd.
EDIT: What Do I Know is still listed under new music so it's really confusing.

A few more odd observations is that the Sony website lists more than a few of their artists on their roster but not assigned to an imprint or have joint ventures w/ Villa 40 (Drew Green, Ross Ellis, Joey Hendricks, Tyler Booth, Southerland, and now Jaden Hamilton). Kameron Marlowe is with Columbia but not listed under the Columbia page; Faith Hill is listed there but not on the front page and likewise for Pistol Annies. Do the unassigned artists have developmental deals and assigned later?

I haven’t heard anything and that single seemed poised to rise well within the Top 40. So unless he quit, I doubt he’s gone, just cause a website has updating going on.
