It looks like RCA has parted ways with Tate Stevens. He is no longer listed as an artist on the Sony website.

The Henningsens no longer appear on Sony's artist section but appear on Arista's page. Have they parrted ways with Sony Nashville? They're still listed when I look at the site. ???

Blackjack Billy has signed with Bigger Picture. Source: iTunes re-issue of the single. Their song "The Booze Cruise" has been selling very well (considering it's been getting next to no airplay), and I realize it's a popular song, but I'm not impressed by this group at all. If this is the type of music that country radio is going to be playing more of, then I'll stick to my CD's and laptop. I just feel like the stupider a song is, the more popular it is.. But thanks for the heads-up. I've got a few updates to make to the first post again.

Totally see your point about the 'stupider the song is, the more popular it is..." line.

It looks like Trace Adkins has parted ways with Show Dog-Universal Music. He is no longer listed on their official website. Apparently he's releasing a Christmas album this fall under the imprint Caliburn. The King's Gift is slated for October 29th. Source: jam.canoe.ca/Music/2013/08/29/21084671.html

Source: jam.canoe.ca/Music/2013/08/29/21084671.htmlTrace's option for albums may have been for only 3 albums but I wouldn't be surprised if SDU and Trace worked together again on a future album. He also may just be past the prime radio age for artists now too :/.

From Country Aircheck Today (9/23):
Also, apparently Warner Music Nashville has another new name on their roster:

I just noticed that UMG Nashville updated their website. Eric Church, Josh Kelley and Randy Rogers Band not listed. Did they part ways with UMG? Also Julianne Hough is listed. Did she re-sign with Mercury? Finally! So glad they updated it. Thanks for pointing that out. Eric Church is almost certainly with them; that's probably just a mistake. As for Julianne Hough she has probably been with them the whole time but basically as an inactive artist (they didn't list her on the roster with everyone else at CRS, and she hasn't really been on the music scene for a few years now). The Randy Rogers Band thing is an interesting one, because that could go either way. They've never been able to break through onto the main scene (outside of Texas) so it's possible that their contract with UMG might have expired.

I clicked Eric Church and under news was a blank screen (except for Eric Church News).

After I put in Universal Music Group in the address bar, I got the home page. Then I clicked Universal Music Group Nashville (or the like). After that, I clicked on News beside Artists (which I did not find Church). There was nothing under News.

I'm able to see Eric Church's name when I go to UMG Nashville's website from my mobile device but is not listed when I check on my pc. Also, did Easton Corbin switch to MCA, as he is listed on Country Aircheck, or was this simply a mistake? Are you referencing the daily Aircheck emails? Because one of those did list Easton's label affiliation as MCA the other day, but then yesterday's email included an "Err Check" that said something along the lines of they "regret the error" and it should've said Mercury instead. So, no change there. Hopefully UMG gets their site corrected soon...I can't imagine they haven't noticed that they forgot to put Eric's name on the main page there.

Also, did Easton Corbin switch to MCA, as he is listed on Country Aircheck, or was this simply a mistake? It'd be a huge shock to not have Eric Church on EMI Nashville or the UMG Nash roster. That has to be some sort of error. He may have signed a 3 album deal when he first signed with the label (and amended with options for the live record, etc). He may be negotiating a Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Lady A, Alan Jackson type of deal where he owns his own masters and "boutique label" under UMG but I cannot see him leaving Mike Dungan's team for anywhere else. As for Easton, he's still Mercury. That was just an Aircheck error. I can see Josh Kelley no longer a part of the label, too (Though it might make for an interesting side project for Josh and Charles to do a duo side project in the future for UMG).

I noticed that Kristen Kelly has been removed from Sony Nashville's website. Also, Angie Johnson has not been assigned to label. What's going on with Angie that she has not been put with a label yet. Kristin may have asked out. AS for Angie, they never officially signed her to a specific label, just Sony Nashville. Who knows what they'll do with the roster.

Is Trick Pony getting back together? I found this in Country Aircheck Today (10/22): It could be that they were just performing together but I think it'd be cool for them to get back together.

The Capitol Music Group (not to be confused with UMG Nashville) has opened a new label in Nashville with John Grady running the label. The man who signed Gretchen Wilson and Miranda Lambert and manages Kristen Kelly, Ashley Monroe and Striking Matches among others has signed Striking Matches to the label which is titled IRS Nashville, reviving the IRS name under the Caroline and Capitol Music Group labels. The first artist signed is Striking Matches. The first album to be released is a T Bone Burnett co-produced recording of Cowboy Jack Clement.

Is Trick Pony getting back together? Yep, there was a blurb about it in yesterday's Billboard Country Update... on page 6, the last paragraph under "Music Notes". It said that flood benefit in Colorado was their first official show as the reunited trio.

Please don't pull the carpet out from under me guys...If this dream comes true I will be spitting out rainbows. We haven't heard a single on the radio from them since "Ain't Wastin' Good Whiskey On You"... That was late 2005!...Wow. Still won't quite believe till I see it though cause nothing that I want ever happens in this industry. Will they still be on Curb?...Or perhaps a chance to be on a competent label and Oh I don't know not have one of their albums get pushed back 43 times before being released!

Not sure if they are still on Curb, but last night's Billboard Country Update does indeed confirm that Trick Pony has reunited: - Billboard (10/21 Billboard Country Update)

Like its going to be a similar situation to Showdog-Universal?

IRS Nashville is an imprint that gives The Capital Group a Nashville label. Which they didn't have before this. SDU is like Big Macine, an independent "partner" that doesn't report the way that UMG Nashville or this new whoplly owned new label does. It's a full label a la any other Nashville imprint of a bigger parent company.

Congrats to The Swon Brothers! I'm happy for them. They have some good stuff pre-voice on Itunes so I'll hope they make great songs with Arista.

Was their signing just announced? I heard that somewhere a week or two ago and figured it was already public knowledge.
I'm actually surprised they got signed though because I never thought they were very good. The heavier brother was decent, but the scrawny guy I really didn't care for.
