Bob Frank Entertainment has resurrected Audium, under the new name Audium Nashville. It’ll be a distribution imprint this go around, no radio promotion. Collin Raye and Jamie O’Neal will be the new imprint’s flagship artists. New music from both in the works. All AccessAudium was a label that shuttered in 2006 with Koch as the distributor. David Lee Murphy’s top 5 hit “Loco” was on Audium in 2004. Does this mean the artist won't be played on radio, only release music digitally?

It's just an imprint for distribution, essentially. Maybe some sporadic secondary radio play, who knows. They don't have a radio staff to promote. Audium did back in 2003-2005 with Koch as the distributor. They just brought back the name of the old label.

It’s insanely expensive to promote an artist to radio. They’re giving veteran artists with a following a path to release new stuff, most of radio won’t play them anyway.

Safe to say Nash Icon label is dead? Martina McBride's Christmas album was on Broken Bow and Ronnie Dunn self released his latest. Not finding anything on Hank Williams, jr.

^^Great news. Reba McEntire was at MCA between 1983-2008 when she was at the zenith of her career. I hope she can get a few hits now.

Reba is back with MCA Nashville. Announced at UMG Nashville’s luncheon just now. Great news. I didn't expect much in the way of her getting major radio hits again, but the absolute lack of any single promotion for Stronger Than the Truth outside of tossing "Freedom" out to stations only to immediately let it die after it debuted and doing anything else for the album following its release makes me think this is a good move for her. She should still be making bigger waves even at this stage of her career than her last album did. Excited for her to get back into the studio sooner rather than later.

Hopefully with MCA again we can see more promotion for her new music going forward. I would love to see another Duets album because that first one was great!

I want duets with Dolly, Carrie, Jon, Josh Turner (he's on MCA too so that really would work), Carly, Kelsea (I particularly want "Legends" from the 2017 CMA Awards put on an album), Miranda...so many others! If she did a second duets album, she'd really continue to make bigger waves, especially if she did an album of duets with a bunch of newer artists who are part of the current generation of country. In other words, she'd get more younger fans hopefully. The speculation of what could happen with Reba being back home is just exciting to think about!

Another duet with Kelly, Brooks & Dunn, Linda Davis, and Vince Gill would all be awesome too!

Now that you bring Brooks & Dunn up...Reba really oughta do what they did in 2019 for the newer artists and do her own Reboot album with them. Heck, they could just go wild and make it double disc and do one set of duets of her songs (a lot of hits, maybe a couple new songs as well) with the new artists, and another set of duets, this time with the more well-known types like Vince, Martina, Dolly, etc. (I especially want Dolly if she has time, because Reba and Dolly have never gotten to record anything together). I will also say Reba with BOTH Linda and Hillary Scott from Lady A would be heavenly.

All of these great ideas for Reba on MCA are making me so happy to think about. I hope we get a LOT of new music from her in the next few years. A double disc duets album with her classics and new songs sounds amazing!!!

Reba posted a video on Facebook today talking about how much she has in the works with her move back to MCA. Sounds like she has a LOT up her sleeve! In addition to both her individual tour and her Vegas residency with B&D, she mentioned that new music is in the works, and they will also be revisiting her catalog. I'm really excited to see what she means by that! Makes me think of how they just released a 25th anniversary edition of Read My Mind. Would be awesome to see them continue to do stuff like that. I would LOVE to get some new bonus tracks that were scrapped from those old sessions, or modern re-recordings of classics, or another live album, or pretty much anything else she wants to give me!!!

I'm so excited for all of it! (She starts that solo tour here in Indiana on march 20 and I don't have the resources to get there--she'll be in Evansville, not Indianapolis--and my heart ACHES about it) She said in that same video that she's now doing that "text me directly" thing that a lot of people like Shania Twain and apparently even Brad Paisley are doing. Apparently to keep us in the loop personally about the things she's got cooking. I haven't tested it out yet tho because the idea that I'm texting Reba McEntire and that she'd possibly answer is intimidating as all hell.

I'm kinda stuck on that idea lol I really hope to have an opportunity to see her live in the next year or so, have never seen her and would LOVE to!

I hope she reads Pulse because I'm loving this idea of her doing a part II of her Reba Duets project. I'd love to see her take a cue from her buddies B&D on that front.

Oh interesting, I was wondering what happened to their record deal with Broken Bow. I wonder if Kane's label is in conjunction with Sony Nashville or like Florida Georgia Line's and be separate from his label. Good to see some of these artists helping out newer ones now that they've got success. I keep hoping Keith Urban or Miranda will eventually use theirs to sign people eventually too as they're the only ones I know of that haven't.

Or is it going to be distributed by them and restless road will be signed by Sony as a result?
