Where did you see Vince Gill left? He's still on their website and there is nothing about him leaving when I look. There is zero indication that Vince Gill left his record label. I also looked at davidcountry's lists and there are multiple issues with all of them. Some of the artists listed are self-released and not affiliated with a label. Other artists are rock, Christian, pop, folk, or Americana acts that are not releasing music as a solo country act and have not made any indication that they will in the future. And then some are international artists not affiliated with a U.S. based label. All of these issues excludes them from being listed under this topic. There are sub-genres under country as well. Rock, Christian, Pop, Folk and Americana are sub-genres. Darius Rucker was an alternative rockers. Vince Gill was a soft rocker. Sheryl Crow was a rocker. Kid Rock was a rapping rocker. Bruce Springsteen have been releasing his albums under country and Americana. He is now listed as a country artist. Other acts that fit this category are Vince Gill, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Dan Seals, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock and the likes. Koe Wetzel is a Red Dirt, Outlaw country artist. Tyler Childers is an Outlaw Country artist. Orville Peck is an outlaw folk country artist. Country was started as Americana/Folk music. Colter Wall, Charley Crockett, Mandy Barnett, Asleep At The Wheel, The War and Treaty, and others are like this. Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Gene Autry,Roy Rogers, Tex Ritter and others fit in this category. Neo-Traditional artists on the list that you are dismissive are Koe Wetzel, Tyler Childers, Orville Peck, The Lost Bandoleros, Colter Wall, Jennie Seely, Charley Crockett, Mandy Barnett, Asleep At The Wheel (swing), The War and Treaty, Mac McAnnelly, Rosanne Cash, Catherine Britt (still showing up on the US charts), and Paul Brandt. Jon Pardi, Midland, George Strait, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Riley Green, Luke Combs, Aaron Watson, Randel King, Randy Rogers Band, and others are Neo-Traditionalists. Jimmy Buffett just released new country material. Mark Knopfler is on the Nashville scene since the 1990s. He have been releasing country albums with some Americana and country rock. Norah Jones is Americana/folksy country sound. Kasey Chambers had a big hit in the US with "Not Pretty Enough." She could come in and help as a duet partner in Nashville. Average Joe artists are mostley Hick Hop artists like Colt Ford except for 3 artists. It could be more regular artists. The Canadian artists along with the Australian artists do find themselves played on the Texas radio or the secondary radio stations. Colter Wall, Corb Lund, Kasey Chambers, Catherine Britt, The Reklaws, Darlinhurst, The Buckleys, The McClyments, Dallas Smith, O'Shea (now lives in Nashville), Brett Kissel (since he is friends with Brad Paisley), Dean Brody, The Washboard Union and others are the ones being played. The northern states that borders Canada would pick up on the Canadian artists. The Christian artists that I listed are part of the Christian Country community with other artists like Oak Ridge Boys, Alan Jackson, Josh Turner, Ty Herndon, Randy Travis, Johnny Cash and others. All these artists that I listed are country artists now, but part of the sub-genres of country music.

I forgot. Gavin Degraw lives in Nashville writing songs for other country artists. He is friends with Brett Young where he co-headline a tour with him. Shared the stage with Shania Twain, The Wreckers, Lady A., Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Craig Morgan, and Jake Owen. Gavin sang a duet with Martina McBride and backup singer to Sara Evans.Co-wrote, sang and won a Grammy with Colbie Caillat on "We BothNow." He sang a tribute song to Kenny Rogers, and appeared on CMT's Crossroads.

Davidcountry, while it is true that country artists have influences rooted in various genres, sub-genres in country is not a new trend and to create that impression is incorrect and ignores the history of country music. Country music has always had elements of rock, soul, R&B, Christian, folk and a host of other styles. Using your examples, the issue is that Kid Rock, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, and Darius Rucker are signed to a U.S. based country label and releasing music to country radio. Many of the artists that you have listed do not fit one of those two criteria.
The point stands that they should not be included in this post. I appreciate the work that goes into making these lists, but scrolling lists of incorrectly categorized rosters just clutters up the thread. Instead, the better course of action would be to post newly signed artists under a U.S. label (not self-released) that are actively promoting music to country radio.

Instead, the better course of action would be to post newly signed artists under a U.S. label (not self-released) that are actively promoting music to country radio. Well, the new Chris Tomlin country album will have singles releasedtocountry radio soon. Stephanie Quayle is on Rebel Engine Entertainment which is not a major Nashville label. Interscope is part of Universial Music Group which Dylan Schneider and Yelowolfe who are recording music in Nashville. Should they be part of the Other UMG Artists? Koe Wetzel have the number 77 selling country album on I-Tunes. Tyler Childers have one of the best sellings country albums on I-Tunes. Cory Marks on Eleven Seven-Nashville label with the number 2 album on I-Tunes. He is an outlaw country rocker. He have three songs in the top 125 singles sales on I-Tunes. Eleven Seven Records is major record production company in New York City, LA and other large cities that specialized in hard rock, metal and soft rock with the likes of Motley Crue, Nelly Furtado, The Hu, Five Fingered Death Punch and others. Cory teamed up with Travis Tritt on Outlaws and Outsiders. His next single is "Out In The Rain" with Lizzy Hale. The label renamed as Better Noise Music. Cory is the only country act signed to the label. Vince Neil of Motley Crue sang with Justin Moore on his remake of Crue's "Home Sweet Home" on the country tribute album. I guess that may have inspired the record label to open a division up in Nashville? Jimmy Buffett is number 19 on the I-Tunes' album chart with his brand new album. Charley Crockett have the number 38 album on I-Tunes charts. Independent label, not really a self released. Americana Country artist, Daniel Donato is number 65 with his album. Breland is all over the place with his EP, single and radio airplay. Atlantic Records along with Kelly Clarkson. Tanya Tucker is still in the top 100 album chart. Cory Marks, Lil Nas X, Breland, Coffey Anderson, Priscilla Block, Dwight Yoakem, Alison Kraus, Rosanne Cash, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Steve 'N' Seagulls, Gangstagrass, Aaron Simmons, Cassadee Pope, Margo Price, Green River Ordinance, Buddy Brown, Lucas Hoge, Colter Wall, Rhonda Vincent and Daryle Singletary, Ralph Stanley, Wheeler Walker JR, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Monroe, Sundance Head, and others. Bob Franks Entertainment just relaunched Audium-Nashville which was a major label company in Nashville until 2006 that produced major hits for Mark Collie, Ty Herndon and others. They are in agreement with Sony Music under The Orchard distribution. So, Sony-Orchard lineup looks like this. John Berry Clear Blue Sky Collin Raye BFD-Audium Jamie O'Neal BFD-Audium Smith & Wesley BFD-Audium Scooter Brown Band BFE/117 Music Honey County 117 Music Paul Bogart 117 Music It could be The Orchard-Nashville under Sony if the article is correct. Recent artists that BFD/Audium/Blue Hat Label are: Charlie Daniels Darryl Worley Danielle Peck Michell Wright Keith Anderson Ty Herndon Billy Gilman Brody Ray Trent Tominson Jason Michael Carroll Mark Collie Lee Roy Parnell Crystal Gale Bobby Bare Blackhawk Dale Watson Mary Sue England I could see some of these names resigned to new deals, and we might see some off The Orchard move over to the other Sony artists. Joey Hendricks and Kameron Marlowe be placed in other Sony-Nashville Artists. Jordan Walker signed a songwriting deal for Sony, and could work his way back as a solo artist. BEXAR would be placed into other Warner Music Nashville until they get them under one of the labels. Gavin DeGraw did a duet on Brett Young's single called Chapters. I saw that song was charting for a bit late last year. The reason I put Jeannie Seely down under Curb because she is a long time Grand Ol' Opry member. She is in her 80s, and still performing to this day. I think the acts that are signed with the labels in Nashville are newly signed, and are getting their work together before releashing a single. Carolina Story of Black River Records, Sami Derosa of Monument, BEXAR, Joey Hendricks, Kameron Marlowe, Calliste Clark Big Machine and The Lost Bandoleros Warner Music Group could be placed under other until we know for sure where they go. I am wondering if Amerimonte Records and Reviver/1608 Records still in an agreement to promote Shane Owens' music? The problem with Tyler Childers, Koe Wetzel, Orville Peck, Sturgill Simpson, Noah Cyrus, Colter Wall and other acts on the major labels are promoting them in the wrong place? They do sell albums and their songs are popular with country music fans. Charley Crockett is a star in the making along with Colter Wall. Both young country singers who sings along the traditional old classics like Hank Williams, Gene Autry and the likes with a little pop like Jon Pardi. I do think there are a lot of overlapping with all these artists under country, but not being placed in the proper places. I am also surprise that country music in the past was dominated by Texas artists, that you don't have a major recod label in Texas. Austin City Limits is just like Grand Ol' Opry, but in Texas.

Davidcountry, I'm not going to go line by line and discuss why the artists that you keep listing do not fit. In fact, you've done a good job in proving it yourself by clarifying that they "may" release in the future. All of your posts in this topic include forecasted and unproven assumptions without considering that your contributions are essentially off-topic spam.
I'll mention again that all artists who are not on U.S. based labels, self-releasing, or not releasing music to country radio belong in the Discovery thread or in their appropriate genre section. They do not belong here. Please post in the appropriate place in the future.

All I need is the list in the original post that gets updated every now and then by staff. We don't need anyone else creating their own roster in the thread imo.

I, for one, am interested in davidcountry's posts. They relate to the smaller artist and I am interested in them as well as the major label artists. However, I agree with you, he does not need to be creating separate rosters in this thread, especially based on speculation. Why can't there be a separate "Record Labels & Artists Rosters" thread created for independent artists (not affiliated with any major labels) and self released artists. davidcountry could post all his information there (as long as it's truthful, current, and directly related to the country format.)

There is a problem with that since some of the artists I listed are not really Independent and are connected to a major record company. CJ Solar's singles are being backed by Sea Gayle which is partly owned by Brad Paisley. He wrote the number 1 hit "Up Down" for Morgan Wallen. And he co-wrote songs with Hardy and Travis Denning to name a few. Sea Gayle WritersBesides Brad Paisley and CJ Solar, 5 of them have their own songs out, and Bobby Pinson was a mainstream singer. You got to wonder if CJ is getting the backing from Brad Paisley and Sony or Brad's own record label? From what I understand the deal between John Berry and Sony under his own label with Sony putting out his music including new singles on all the country radio stations. John Berry is one of the artists along with Randy Travis that Nashville sticks behind. We may see him listed on one of Sony-Nashville label soon. BFD/Audium Nashville will be pushing songs mainstream which is why they signed Collin Raye as the top billed artist with all those number 1 hits he had. Cory Marks' label tried to get his songs on mainstream country as well. Billboard mislabeled him since he calls himself an outlaw country, but they placed him in rock. We should look at each of these one by one since there are artists on major labels don't have a hit in a long time.

Just found that Rounder Records is part of the Universal Music Group. Country bluegrass and Americana artists listed.
Alison Kraus Alison Kraus & Union Station Blackberry Smoke Carlene Carter Chris Stapleton Cody Jinks Dan Tyminski Dawes Edie Brickell Indigo Girls JD McPhearson Nanci Griffith Pokey LaForge Ronda Vincent Ruston Kelly Shelby Lynn Son Volt Steep Canyon Rangers Steve Martin The Time Jumpers (Vince Gill sang lead with this group a few years back) The War & Treaty
Only Cody Jinks right now having a success right now on the charts.
I was checking because I am seeing Universal Music Group was putting Alecia Nugent songs on Youtube in the last 4 months. Wonder if they are signing her to a contract in their lineup?

They are independently part of the Concord group. It’s a label that is distributed via UMG Retail Services, not The UMG label. Also, Cody Jinks isn’t with Rounder. Neither is 75% of That roster.

Did Tim McGraw switch to BMLG Records? I noticed that the label is BMLGR in Country Aircheck this week and BMLG in upcoming albums on the Music Row website.

They aren't off of the official page yet, but Gone West is off of the Triple Tigers Instagram and Twitter. Now it says "Triple Tigers Records @russelled @scottymccreery @camcountry."
Obviously it was going to happen after their breakup, but I wondered if some of the members would go solo and stay with the label. I guess not.

Looks like Restless Road just got dropped by Sony Nashville. They have been taken down from the website.
Brooks and Dunn and Robert Counts not listed under Arista, but under other Sony Nashville. Looks like some changes in the lineup at Sony Nashville.
Laci Kaye Booth is not on the Big Machine Label Group website anymore.
Daniel Bradbery is now listed as Big Machine Records along with Youtube sensation cover artist Callista Clark who just uploaded her cover of Luke Combs "Lovin' On You."
Mitchell Tenpenny is shown on the Riser House Records.
Ben Burgess looks like he got dropped from Big Loud.
I might add Orville Peck for Sony Music for other artists. He is getting mainstream exposure with his duet with Shania Twain. Just like Brandy Clark, Orville is openly gay, and it is hard to get anybody in Nashville to sign them. Sony might be able to push him to be play on mainstream radio. Be a good time to pushed that envelope.

Record label rosters usually do not update quickly, especially when there isn't a single about to be released. In all three cases, they were never on the record label's website and likely does not indicate that they were dropped. While I appreciate the enthusiasm, please check your sources before making assumptions. This is a continuing issue as if you had looked previously, the reason for not being listed would have been known.

Danielle Bradbery is still listed as a BMLG artist on the BMLG website. I have found that labels don't add new artists to their websites until it is close to an album release date; so this could be why we don't see Ben Burgess, Laci Kaye Booth on their respective label websites. But I do find it strange that Robert Counts is not listed under the Arista imprint as he has released a few singles with them.

They are still under Sony Music Nashville, but not under Arista like they were last week. Arista site does not have neither anymore. Never mine about Danielle. I thought it was reading Big Machines Record.

They went on a hiatus, and returned with a new roster that was announced late February of this year. That would be roughly six months, and not the stated almost a year with the new lineup of group members. As previously mentioned, Restless Road has never been on Sony's website and were not listed last week. Same with Laci Kaye and Ben on their respective labels.
