This is good! I don't know if this would do well, but I'm all for new Blu music if it's good like this.

This is just a teaser track; her actual single should be released within the next month or so.

I love a handful of her songs and she's an excellent vocalist, but I don't feel bad about what happened to her career. She has acted so bitter and hateful toward those more successful than her in the past that she kind of got what was coming to her.

She was so high and mighty off of one hot song. I feel bad for her. Not so much in regards to her career, because like jazzysoul said, she did seem very spiteful. But I think it's really sad that she saw herself as this up and coming sensation who finally got a break and then drugs and a flop record killed her career and all of the glamour and the stardom just got snatched out from under her. That has got to be really hard to deal with.

If "Hit Em Up Style" hadn't turned off the R&B community so strongly with her pop success, she may have been able to forge a solid career on the Urban charts. It's a shame that many artists today can have separate pop and urban hits simultaneously, but back in the day, this was not a common thing. Glad to see new material from Blu.

That's because back in the day, pop radio was actually playing urban music. There was no need to release separate singles for the two formats. Now if an urban artist wants a pop hit, they either release a pop song to both formats or a pop song to pop radio and an urban song to urban radio.

It didn't help that they never properly pushed a second U.S. single from the album.

New Year's EXCLUSIVE!!! R&B Divas L.A. Cast Revealed January 1st, 2013 | Author: Funky Dineva Yes Gawd Hunty! Y'all know I had to share this Tea with the quickness. It Ain't no secret that an R&B Divas L.A. spin off show is in the making. Well The Doll through her relationships and handy dandy investigative work was able to get her hands on 3 of the confirmed cast members of the show. I think you are going to be pleased when you find out who they are. Catch these T's: Chante Moore, Kelly Price, Blu Cantrell. That is right! 90s Divas Chante Moore, Kelly Price, and Blu Cantrell are cast members of R&B Divas L.A. I don't know, I think I am feeling this. I'm side eying Blu Cantrell, but i'm willing to give her a chance. My only sentiments in relation to Blu Cantrell is that she wasn't around long enough to mean much of anything to anyone. Like she said, "She'll find a way," and that she did. If Monifah was able to win the hearts of viewers, surely Blu Cantrell can too. The Doll has only been able to obtain confirmation on these three cast members. It is reasonable to assume that there will be two or more ladies added to this bunch. As soon as I get those T's, I will pass them on to you guys. Hmmm I do wonder who would round out this cast. I'm trying to think who else is left out there. I don't know why, but my spirit is telling me that either Shanice or Deborah Cox is going to join these ladies. It only makes sense.

That is right! 90s Divas Chante Moore, Kelly Price, and Blu Cantrell are cast members of R&B Divas L.A. . Well, Blu is definitely not a 90's diva, but that error aside, I love the sound of this. Shanice would be some serious icing.

This will be interesting for her. Although after the original R&B Divas album flopped so horrendously I don't think any of them can even think about using this as a comeback move.

Faith Evans and KeKe Wyatt at least got Top 10 hits at Urban AC recently. I doubt we're going to see Chanté Moore, Kelly Price, or Blu Cantrell in the Top 10 at Urban radio, but they could reignite some interest among the older R&B crowd. They have nothing to lose.

Blu Cantrell hospitalised and sectioned by police after erratic outburst in CaliforniaBlu Cantrell has been hospitalised after she was found by police screaming in the streets that someone had poisoned her with gas. The singer, famed for her 2003 duet with Sean Paul “Breathe”, was taken into custody for psychological evaluation by officers in Santa Monica at around 2am on Wednesday 3 September. According to TMZ, a witness called the police after they noted Cantrell’s erratic behaviour. She was then taken to a near-by hospital, where she was evaluated by medical staff. Cantrell, whose real name is Tiffany Cobb, has remained reclusive and away from the media spotlight. She last appeared on television in 2008, when she took part in NBC’s Celebrity Circus. She was eliminated from the competition in the second week and was the first famous person to do so. Blu Cantrell is yet to comment publicly on the incident. Source

Whatever happened to her, why did she go away for so long? I'm not sure anyone really knows for sure but the most common explanation is that she was dropped after her second album and ended up getting addicted to drugs. I've seen stories about her being homeless and having to turn tricks on the street but I feel like that might just be LSA bull.

I don't think they ever dated, I think he just smashed.
I also feel like it was before she went by Blu Cantrell.
