Lorde keeps on ruling everyone’s charts. And more Lorde to coming is amazing to see. Katy is roaring through here. Big jump to the top 10 for the SS Remix. Good jump for Alone Together. Almost top 10. Drake and Avicii are also having such good heights. Like the debut of Gorilla. Good chart this week.

Fantastic chart! I love/like everything charting. It took me a while to get into "Sweater Weather" and "Replay" but now I love them. "Tell My Mama" is good too. :)

Lorde manages to best Miley for another week, bringing her total to five weeks, making it the longest running number one since Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." lasted for eight weeks back in January, February, and March. Both "Royals" and "Wrecking Ball" lost points, as was expected. Last week Lorde got a large boost after I downloaded The Love Club EP and "Wrecking Ball" hit the monthly rolling effect this week. As did "Summertime Sadness" (which after vaulting 23-10 last week, only moves up to 9 this week) and "Hold On, We're Going Home" (which fell one spot to number 20 this week). "Hothouse" remains at number three despite gaining points. "Roar" enters the top five at number four this week, pushing "Tie It Up" down to number five. "Acapella" slip out of the top five and falls to number ten. As for the rest of the top ten, Miley Cyrus jumps back up from eight to six with "We Can't Stop" and Taylor Swift's "Red" slips to number eight. As reported before Lana Del Rey and Karmin occupy the number nine and ten slots. Entering the top ten for the first time at number seven is Fall Out Boy's latest single, "Alone Together." "Together" outpeaks "The Phoenix," which peaked at number nine. The album's lead single, "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)," peaked at number three. Below the top ten, several songs reach new peaks. Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran's "Everything Has Changed" at number 11, Zendaya's "Replay" at number 12, Bonnie McKee's "American Girl" at 13, Rihanna's "What Now" at 15, Avril Lavigne's "Rock N Roll" at 23, Jessie J's "Magnetic" at 25, Christina Grimmie's "Tell My Mama" at 27, Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night" at 28, Bruno Mars' "Gorilla" at 31, and Mary Lambert's "She Keeps Me Warm" at 34. Note that P!nk and Lily Rose Cooper's "True Love" matches its original peak of 18. The week's largest increase is a tie between "Gorilla," up 38 to 31, and "That's My Kind of Night," up 34 to 28, both up 1.75 points. The week's largest decrease goes to "Blurred Lines," down 2.65 points, slipping 15 to 22. The chart also sees two debuts this week. Debuting at 38 is a new track from Lorde called "Tennis Court." "Court" was released as the second single from The Love Club EP earlier this year. Lorde's history on the chart is pretty evident as "Royals" is the current number one for the fifth week in a row. Debuting at 39 is the latest will-be-released-to-pop-in-five-months single from Imagine Dragons called "On Top of the World." Dragons have been very successful on the chart with "It's Time" peaking at 12, "Radioactive" at 3, and "Demons" at 20. Don't let "Demons"' peak fool you, it's 9x platinum! The two debuts kick off "The Way" and "Blowin' Smoke." Drop Out Runs: Ariana Grande - The Way (feat. Gee, Miley still can't wreck her way to the top. :kii: Nice moves for Bonnie, Pink, and Avril. And nice adds for this week. (Other than the Kelsi Luck song, which admittedly I've never heard of.)

The chart will be updated tomorrow. I have already ran the numbers, though, and VERY exciting movements for this week! Lots of debuts, a rough battle for #1, plenty of movement in the top ten!

Ben J) Lorde - Pure Heroine*Songs that I've added to my iPod. She came in like a WREEEEEEEECKING BAAAAAAAAAAALL! Literally! Miley Cyrus takes the number one position with "Wrecking Ball" by a lead of 3.4 points! Quite an amazing feat given that the release of Pure Heroine put me on a Lorde kick. While "Royals" does not reflect that, movements below the top two positions do. "Wrecking Ball" takes the top spot in only its sixth week on the chart. That is faster than previous number one, "Royals," which got to number one in seven weeks. This makes "Wrecking Ball" the second fastest song to rise to the top spot. The fastest? Well, as reported when "Royals" also did this five weeks ago, Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" which only took three weeks. Oddly enough, "Royals" knocked out Miley's own "We Can't Stop" when it took the top spot. This marks the tenth week of the number one either being by Miley Cyrus or Lorde. This reminds me of when either Taylor Swift, P!nk, or Ke$ha held the top spots from August 2012 through March 2013 (oddly enough, starting with "We Are Never Ever"... hmm...). The rest of the top five is very shaken up! "Roar" and "Tie It Up" are no longer there! Instead, below "Hothouse" which comfortably sits at number three again, Zendaya's "Replay" rockets up from 12 to four and Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" remix zooms nine to five! Below the top five, "Roar" was pushed down to number six. Fall Out Boy spend a second week at number seven with "Alone Together." Taylor Swift also remains in position at number eight with "Red." Kelly Clarkson's country single, "Tie It Up," tumbles from five to ten. Entering the top ten for the first time at number nine is Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" which features non-credited vocals from Aloe Blanc. The new top ten entries from Zendaya and Avicii and "Ghost Aloe" knock out "We Can't Stop" and "Acapella." "We Can't Stop" falls to 13 while "Acapella" tumbles to 20. Unfortunately for "Acapella," it also earns the title for biggest decrease of the week, losing four points! Many songs saw larger than normal point decreases this week. Reason? I don't know, really. Probably my obsession with Lorde took time away from everyone else. Case in point, the biggest increase of the week is Lorde's "Tennis Court," which jumps 38 to 26 and increasing by 3.2 points. Other songs reaching new peaks are "What Now" at 11, "Hold On, We're Going Home" at 15, "That's My Kind of Night" at 16, "True Love" at 17, "Magnetic" at 19, "Rock N Roll" at 21, "Tell My Mama" at 22, and "Gorilla" at 25. The chart also sees three new debuts. Entering at 30 is Lorde's latest single, "Team." "Team" marks Lorde's third entry on the chart and giving her three entries at one time! All three in the top 30! Of course as already stated, "Tennis Court" raises to 26 this week and "Royals" ran for number one for five weeks. Debuting at 32, Katy Perry gets a little ratchet on "Dark Horse" with the help of Juicy J. This is Juicy J's first chart appearance, but this isn't the first for Katy by any means. Katy's history is very nice with every song ever hitting the chart reaching the top ten. That means four top tens in a row with "The One That Got Away" (#10 - on the chart's first week ever), "Part of Me" (#4), "Wide Awake" (#1 - broke the record for longest consecutive stay at number one and held it until Taylor's "We Are Never..."), and "Roar" (#4 - still charting). Debuting at 33 is Tegan and Sara with "Closer." This is Tegan and Sara's first chart appearance as well. The real story, though, is the re-entry at number 40. Yes, that is "Sail" by AWOLNATION. The song that is still increasing after being on the Hot 100 over a year and just entered the top 20 on pop this week! "Sail" makes history by being the oldest song to chart. Ever. When was "Sail"'s original peak of 18? Oh, just the first week of the chart's existance: January 29, 2012. "Sail" was already on the decrease by then as well, so it only spent two weeks on the then 25 position chart. All hail "Sail"! The three newbies and old timer kick off three big hits "Sweater Weather," "Come & Get It," and "Still Into You" (two of those past number one hits) and one of last week's debuts "On Top of the World." Odd. "Demons" also fell off the chart after it first entered before becoming the hit it became. • "Summertime Sadness" (Cedric Gervais Remix) is at #5 and "Wake Me Up" enters in the Top 10. • "What Now" is close to enter in the Top 10, as well as "Rock N Roll" in the Top 20. • Ouch at the drops of "Acapella", "I Need Your Love" and "Dance With Me Tonight". • Nice jump of "Tennis Court" and debut of "Team". • Good to see "Dark Horse" as well. • "Sail" re-enters

As of today, there are only 53 days left for songs to gain points for the year end list! (Which this year may be larger than a top 100!) How are things shaping up in that list right now?
1. The number one on this list has a huge lead over the number two. The unfortunate thing, though, is another song in the top ten would be (barely) above this, but got cut off because a good chunk of its run was in 2012.
2. I have to say, it shocked me to see this song at number two! I mean, I love it, and I knew it was a big hit for me, but #2?!
3. Mega ultra Au$tin smash.
4. A certain someone would love that this is currently in the top five. It will likely not be pushed out either.
5. No shocker to see this in the top five. Was a huge smash for me.
6. WOW! I absolutely CANNOT believe this song is here! I knew it'd be high for its peak, but this high?!
7. If someone told me this artist/band would be in my top ten for the year, I'd laugh at them. But here they are!
8. This one is shocking to me only because it started off lackluster for me.
9. This one is still gaining points at a nice pace, so it's likely to gain positions as well.
10. Very cool to see this one top ten. Pretty much because I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me fast.
Within that top ten, there's seven number one hits. Two of the other three also made the top five. The other one? Didn't even make the top ten.
Now NONE of this is set in stone. There's still plenty of time left for some songs (especially some of the BIG ones right now) to make their way up here.
As far as the artist list is going: 1. No surprise at all. If you know me at all, you'll know who the #1 will be. Hell, you could've predicted this back in December. 2. Again, not a surprise. This artist had many smashes this year. 3. Sort of a surprise given that this artist doesn't have many hits this year, but not surprising given my love for said artist. 4. It always amazes me how this artist doesn't produce any HUGE smashes with me, but releases consistent hits so they always land high for me. 5. No shocker here. Several hits this year. 6. Lower than I expected, but there's still plenty of time for this artist to get higher. 7. Amazed to see this artist this high! 8. This artist just recently entered the top ten for the year. They are releasing plenty of current smashes now, so expect this artist to raise in 53 days. 9. The artist or band behind song #7. 10. Wow! Never would've thought this artist would ever make my top ten!

Big Sean) 13 15 *2x Platinum*Maroon 5 - Love Somebody 07 19 *8x Platinum*Adds*: Echosmith - Cool Kids Miley Cyrus - Bangerz*Songs that I've added to my iPod. Miley Cyrus scores a second week at number one with "Wrecking Ball" as she celebrates the release of her fourth album, Bangerz, this week. Miley also scores big this week as "We Can't Stop" greatly benefits from the album's release, climbing back into the top ten at number nine. With the release of Lorde's album last week, the lead single of which remains at number two again this week, and the release of Miley's this week, scores for anyone who isn't Lorde or Miley Cyrus are little... off. Add into the fact that this week was extremely hectic with homecoming, it makes for a very interesting chart. For example, Katy roars into the top three at number three while Avicii and Ghost Aloe zoom into the number four position. This knocks down 78violet's "Hothouse" down to number five, and kicks out "Replay" from the top five down to number six. What's so weird about that? Well, "Hothouse" is this week's biggest decrease of the week... but normaly a point loss of 3.45 points would drag a song down a lot farther than just two spots. Just a testament to how weird this week's chart is. Also "Replay" show from 12 to four last week. In the rest of the top ten, Taylor falls out with "Red," but enters with "Everything Has Changed" at number seven, oddly enough "Red"'s peak. Lana Del Rey tumbles from the top five to number eight. As already reported, Miley re-enters at nine with "We Can't Stop." Fall Out Boy hand on in the top ten at number ten with "Alone Together." Joining "Red" with being shoved out of the top ten is "Tie It Up," which slips ten to 14. There are quite a few songs reaching new peaks in the 11-20 range, though, despite the weird chart. Earning new peaks this week are "Hold On, We're Going Home" at 13, "Gorilla" at 15, "Tell My Mama" at 16, "Tennis Court" ar 17, "Team" at 21, "Dark Horse" at 26, and "Closer" at 32. Oddly enough, after collapsing ten spots last week from ten to 20, Karmin's "Applause" actually moves up to number 18 this week and even gains in points. The chart sees three debuts and a re-entry this week. The re-entry is the highest of the newbies at number 33. Imagine Dragons re-enter with "On Top of the World" at 33. This marks their third song to have a re-entry since the chart's induction: a record. They first fell off the chart for two weeks and returned with "Demons." Later, "Radioactive" returned for a week after being off for several months due to it finally breaking out long after I was in love with it. "On Top of the World" debuted two weeks ago, fell off last week, and re-enters this week. Debuting at 34 is Cher Lloyd's "I Wish," featuring T.I. This is Cher's fourth chart entry after the number two hit, "Want U Back," and "With Ur Love," which peaked at number 12 back in April. She was also featured on Demi Lovato's album track, "Really Don't Care," which peaked at 32 back in June. This is T.I.'s second entry on the chart after being featured on the number three summer hit, "Blurred Lines." Debuting at 38 is Ciara's "Overdose." This is Ciara's second chart entry after being featured on Nicki Minaj's ratchet hit, "I'm Legit," which peaked at number nine in February. Ciara barely missed the chart with her single, "Sorry," at one time missing the chart by less than a point. Debuting at 39 is yet another Lorde track! "The Love Club" is her new entry this week. Will she debut with more in the coming weeks? Probably. Also some Miley Cyrus tracks may enter soon too. Together, Miley and Lorde make up 15% of the chart currently. Lol. The newbies kick out "Don't Ya," "Wild," and "Love Somebody" as well as last week's big re-entry, "Sail," which broke record after returning the chart nearly two years after it first appeared. "Sail" has a good shot at re-entering later on too. Drop Out Runs: AWOLNATION - Sail 18 03 18-21-off (86 wks)-40Brett Eldredge - Don't Ya 17 11 38-32-27-26-26-24-17-22-24-29-34Jessie J - Wild (feat. "Applause" had around 8.5 points this week. She'll probably end up debuting for one week in the lower 30s just as its peaking and then die off.

Miley Cyrus spends a third week on top with her mega smash hit, "Wrecking Ball," while Lorde continues to tear up the chart. However, the major effects from the releases of Bangerz and Pure Heroine seem to have started to subside. Many songs see larger than normal point increases and some songs even see small decreases in positions despite gaining in points! It's just the chart returning to normal, though, not for long. Katy Perry is coming with Prism this week, so... yeah... There's so much good new music coming out right now! Gah! Below the incredibly challenging top two, some news goes down in the top five. Zendaya's "Replay" jumps back inside the top five and earns a new peak of number three, pushing down Katy Perry's "Roar" to number four. Lana Del Rey also re-enters the top five at her original peak of number five with "Summertime Sadness." Zendaya and Lana push out 78violet and Avicii from the top five. Unfortunately, one of them is also kicked out of the top ten: 78violet. Avicii falls to number six as the rest of the 6-10 region is bombarded with Lorde. Lorde enters the top ten at number seven with "Tennis Court" AND at number ten with "Team," bringing her to three, yes, THREE, hits in the top ten at the same time! There has only ever been one other artist to have three songs in the top ten at the same time: Ke$ha did it twice. On the December 30, 2012 chart, Ke$ha held the 3rd, 8th, and 9th positions with "Die Young," "Gold Trans Am," and "Crazy Kids" all at once. She then did it again the following week in the 4th, 8th, and 9th positions, but that time with "Die Young," "C'mon," and "Gold Trans Am." However, Lorde is the first artist to place three bulleted songs in the top ten at the same time as "Royals" sees a slight uptick in points. Taylor Swift also re-enters the top ten at number eight with "Red," while Fall Out Boy's "Alone Together" shifts back up to number nine. As already stated, "Hothouse" was shoved out of the top ten. Joining it are Taylor Swift's "Everything Has Changed" and Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop." There's lots of movement below the top ten as well. Songs reaching new peaks include "Gorilla" at 11, "That's My Kind of Night" at 14 becoming Luke Bryan's highest charting hit, "Magnetic" at 15, "Rock N Roll" at 18, "Closer" at 21, "I Wish" at 22 and earning biggest gainer of the week with an increase of 3.8 points, "Overdose" at 25, "The Love Club," another Lorde track, at 29, and "On Top of the World" at 30. Most of these songs also saw very large point increases. A record four songs saw point increases over 3 this week: "Tennis Court," "Closer," "I Wish," and "Overdose." The chart also sees two debuts and a re-entry. Yep, that re-entry is once again AWOLNATION's "Sail," re-entering for a second time at number 33. Oddly enough just as the song finally decides it's going to die after being released for two years. "Sail" easily has the most bizarre chart run not only for me, but for every chart in the United States. It's sold nearly 4 million copies, yet only barely scratched the top 20 on both the Hot 100 and the pop airplay charts! Weird. As for the debuts, Emeli Sandé scores her second chart entry at number 34 with "My Kind of Love." Emeli charted earlier this year with "Next to Me," which peaked at number five back in April. It earned 4x platinum status. Debuting at number 39 with me being late to the party, is "Applause" by Lady Gaga. Surprisingly, this is Lady Gaga's first ever chart entry, though thinking about it, that makes sense. When I started my chart, her current single was "Marry the Night," which I didn't care for and was already falling. "Applause" is her first single since then and it took a while to grow on me. Had my chart started earlier, Gaga would have easily charted with "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "LoveGame," "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)," "Bad Romance," "Telephone," "Judas," "The Edge of Glory," and "Yoü and I," with three sure fire number ones from "Just Dance," "The Edge of Glory," and "Yoü and I." The two debuts and re-entry kick off three diamond certified hits: "Cups," "Demons," and "Crazy Kids," marking the first chart since September 30, 2012 to not have a song by Ke$ha on it!
