It could. So could "Aura." Technically so could "Venus," but that one has to come out first for me to judge.

That's a lot of Gaga for me to like from one album. She usually only gets me with 3 or 4 tracks per album. We'll see if that actually pans out.

#1 good??? Eh... we'll see. It sounds like one that will grow on me even more, so I'm not ruling number one out as a possibility, though that'd make it the first album track to hit number one.

Yasss, it needs to break records. Gonna be my 8th #1 debut and Gaga's 4th. "Venus" and "Dope" will make 9/5 and 10/6, respectively. :kii: Jk about the last 2, idk about them yet obv. Oh and new snippet tonight. No clue what song, though.

:O just noticing it's been awhile since I commented. OMG, Flawless top 5. Happy to see Sail re-enter. :) Also glad to see My Kind Of Love & Applause debut. :) Lorde domination always makes me happy (Especially Royals domination). Great to see all the great changes since the last time I commented on this chart, keep this up & the next time I comment your whole chart will be flawless. You're really close right now. :KII:

Kelly) Taylor Swift - Sweeter Than Fiction *Songs that I've added to my iPod. Miley Cyrus celebrates a fourth and very strong week at number one. It marks only the third song in history since the current methodology was put in place last October to earn over 27 points in a single week. It follow P!nk and Nate Ruess' "Just Give Me a Reason" (27 points, April 21, 2013) and Lorde's "Royals" (27.3 points, September 22, 2013, record). The later of which still remains at number two. This marks Lorde's tenth week inside the top two for "Royals." The record for that goes to Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble.," which was in the top two for twelve weeks, though non-consecutively. Consecutively, Taylor still reigns with eleven weeks for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Lorde has a good shot at breaking both of those records. In the rest of the top five, Katy Perry's "Roar" lurches back into the top three after slipping to number four last week. No doubt it is helped due to the release of PRISM, Katy's third studio album. Katy also sees an increase farther down the chart with "Dark Horse," which climb to number 22 from 26. "Roar" shoves "Replay" out of the three, though "Replay" only slips to number four. Last week, Lana Del Rey surprised by jumping back into the top five from number eight, but this week she's out of the top ten all together as she's shoved down to number eleven. Fall Out Boy make a surprising jump this week from number nine to five, earning a new peak and becoming their second top five entry. In the rest of the top ten, Avicii stay steady with "Wake Me Up!" at number six as does Taylor Swift with "Red" at number eight. The rest of the top ten is completely new! Entering at seven is Rihanna's "What Now," up from 13, nine is Bruno Mars' "Gorilla" up from 11, and taking a surprising leap into the top ten at number ten is Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home." This is Rihanna's sixth top ten entry after "You Da One," "Talk That Talk," "Where Have You Been," "Diamonds," and "Stay." "What Now" ties the peak of "Talk That Talk" and outpeaks "Stay." Will "What Now" become Rihanna's first number one hit? ("Diamonds" was blocked by Ke$ha's "Die Young.") This marks Bruno Mars' third top ten entry after "Locked Out of Heaven" and "Treasure." Note that both artists would have several other top ten entries had the chart started before January 2012. This is both Drake's and Majid Jordan's first top ten entry. Other than "Summertime Sadness" being violently shoved out of the top ten, Lorde also sees hefty drops from "Tennis Court" and "Team," both falling sharply out of the top ten as those tracks suffer from the monthly rolling update. "The Love Club" also falls hard towards the bottom of the chart. Lorde does have some good news, though. To add to the nearly record-breaking longevity of "Royals," she debuts at number 35 with "Buzzcut Season," and album track from Pure Heroine. "Team" and "Tennis Court" are also from said album, but have been available longer, so they hit the monthly rolling update before the rest of the Pure Heroine tracks. "The Love Club" is of course from The Love Club EP. Though, none of Lorde's hardly falling tracks take biggest decrease of the week. That title goes to Kelly Clarkson's "Tie It Up," losing 2.4 points. Making room for her Underneath the Tree tracks, I bet. ;) Earning new peaks this week below the top ten are as followed: Cher Lloyd and T.I.'s "I Wish" at 12 and also earning biggest increase of the week by gaining 2.05 points, Jessie J's "Magnetic" at 13, Avril Lavigne's "Rock N Roll" at 16, Imagine Dragons' "On Top of the World" at 24, and Emeli Sandé's "My Kind of Love" at 28. Not a lot at all. Most of the action was in the top ten. ("Dark Horse" was already mentioned above.) It is worth nothing, though, that AWOLNATION's "Sail" moves up to 26 from 33 last week. The song originally peaked at number 18 on January 29, 2012, the very first week of this chart's existance. Will it be able to re-peak? Unfortunately for it, it looks to be dying outside of this chart as it slips out of the top 20 on pop. The chart also sees two debuts this week. As already reported, Lorde debuts at 35 with "Buzzcut Season." This is Lorde's fifth chart entry and fifth entry on the chart currently! Earlier peaks include: "Royals" #1 (5 weeks), "Tennis Court" (#7), "Team" (#10), and "The Love Club" (#29). The other debut enters at number 32. The track is called "Cool Kids" and is by a new band called Echosmith. This is their first entry. "Cool Kids" was Free Single of the Week on iTunes just a few weeks ago when their debut album hit retail stores. I encourage everyone to check out "Cool Kids." The track is in the same vein as Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers, etc. It also has elements that reminds me of when Ke$ha is not being her partying persona. In fact, a lot of "Cool Kids" reminds me of Ke$ha's own "Animal." The two tracks kick out Calvin Harris' and Ellie Goulding's "I Need Your Love" and Lady Gaga's "Applause" after only one week on the chart at number 39. Don't worry Gaga fans, Gaga is listed under New Tracks with her latest single, "Do What U Want" with R. Kelly. That tracks has a good shot at becoming a big hit with me. Ellie Goulding) 06 18 39-31-29-13-20-12-10-11-8-9-7-6-10-13-19-27-29-37Lady Gaga - Applause 39 01 39Newly Certified This Week: See all certifications here!

Tagging a few peeps. josh - "Applause" fell off, but "Do What U Want" is an add and has good notes in the write-up. Also, check out "Cool Kids." Lozzy - Lorde is still slaying hard. She literally makes up 12.5% of my chart right now. Also, check out "Cool Kids." nick64 - Demi still hanging on with "Made in the USA." "Neon Lights" is getting close to a debut. Lorde continues to slay. Cher Lloyd. Also, check out "Cool Kids." Juan Carlos - "I Need Your Love" fell off. Hopefully you can find something else to root for. Also, check out "Cool Kids." hitseeker. - Avicii still doing well. Miley slaying. Also, check out "Cool Kids." @dawson - Not much to note, but after Thursday, my ban on Christmas music will be lifted for Kelly Clarkson only. It'll be fun to watch what Wrapped in Red does. Also, check out "Cool Kids." Zeebz - Lorde and Miley killing it. Also, just noticed you've been charting "Hothouse." I love you. Also, check out "Cool Kids."

Tagging a few peeps. Zeebz - Lorde and Miley killing it. Also, just noticed you've been charting "Hothouse." I love you. Also, check out "Cool Kids." Thanks for the tag! Yeah, it has been growing on me. Haha thanks. Also, I checked out "Cool Kids" and it was decent on first listen. I feel like it'll grow on me though. Yes at Lorde dominating. :) Miley's song is really growing on me again. Love/like all of them except for "Magnetic" (don't know), "She Keeps Me Warm" (haven't listened to yet), and "Gorilla", which hasn't grown on me yet. I'm glad to see "Sail" rising, despite it's age. I hope "Do What U Want" debuts and smashes soon as well. :)

I took a glance at page 1 which shows a formula, but I'm not sure where the certification part comes in. Like the chart, the certifications are based on playcounts. For the chart, the formula is complex, but for certifications, it's straight thresholds, such as 10 plays = gold. (That's not actually the threshold for gold, I keep the thresholds a secret, but it's pretty easy to figure it out if you look at my Last.fm playcounts.)

• Nice Top 3. • "Rock N Roll" keeps climbing, as well as "Dark Horse". • Hope "Overdose" could jump as well. • Expecting to see "Sail" to outpeak its previous #18 spot.
PS. I don't forget to check out "Cool Kids". It's still pending.

Following previous five-week number one, "Royals," this marks the first time since the one-two punch of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "Die Young" that two back-to-back number ones have spent 5+ weeks each, and only the second time that has happened in chart history. With this week, "Wrecking Ball" also joins the elite 5+ week club, which includes "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)," "Wide Awake," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Die Young," "I Knew You Were Trouble.," and "Royals." Miley, like Lorde, now has album tracks charting as "4x4," the quirky western flavored hip-hop track featuring Nelly, enters at 30. Speaking of Lorde, "Royals" continues its long journey in the top two, marking the eleventh week. This ties her with Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" for longest consecutive stay in the top two, and only one week away from breaking the overall record also held by Taylor Swift for "I Knew You Were Trouble.." In the rest of the top five, Katy and Zendaya remain stagnant while Rihanna's "What Now" pushes out Fall Out Boy's "Alone Together" to enter at five. In the bottom half of the top ten, "Alone Together" slips to six, although it gains in points. Lana Del Rey makes a surprising resurgance back into the top ten at number seven, oddly enough kicking out Taylor Swift's "Red." Both "Red" and "Summertime Sadness" have had yo-yo trips in and out of the top ten. "Gorilla" moves up to a new peak of eight while Avicii slips to nine and Drake remains at number ten. Not a whole lot of songs earn new peaks this week, but there are some fun stories in the rest of the chart. After suffering greatly from the monthly rolling effect, Lorde's "Tennis Court" rebounds to 12 this week. Will it be able to crack into the extremely competitive top ten again? ("Team" also sees an increase in position at 19, but loses points.) This jump unfortunately pushes down "I Wish" and "Magnetic" down one spot each, despite gaining points. Oddly enough, though, Avril Lavigne's "Rock N Roll" earns a new peak of 15 this week despite losing points right below "I Wish" and "Magnetic." Christina Grimmie's "Tell My Mama" also jumps back to its original peak of 16 despite losing points. The top 20 does see three new entries, though. Katy Perry's album track/promo single, "Dark Horse" jumps to a new peak of 17 and Tegan and Sara's "Closer" moves up a spot to number 20. The big story, though, is at number 18. After debuting at 32 last week, Echosmith's "Cool Kids" explodes and earns the title of biggest increase of the week with a growth of 4.1 points! Last week, I instructed you all to check out "Cool Kids." Did you do your homework? If not, do it now. Besides, I have some more homework for you later. Ciara's "Overdose" is the only other song with a new peak below the top 20. This brings me to the new entries this week. There's a massive SIX new entries this week! Damn! Of course, as already stated, Miley Cyrus and Nelly debut at 30 with "4x4." This is Miley's third chart entry after the two number one hits "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball," both still charting and the later still number one. This is Nelly's first chart entry, though Nelly would have definitely had hits with previous hits "Country Grammar," "Ride wit Me," "Hot In Herre," "Dilemma," "Shake Ya Tailfeather," "Iz U," "Over and Over," "Grillz," "Party People," and "Just a Dream" (and features on "Girlfriend" and "Call on Me") had my chart existed back then. Debuting a position higher at 29 is Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger's "Let Me Go," the third single from Avril's fifth album, due out this month. Avril is currently charting at 15 with "Rock N Roll," and has had two number 17 peakers through "Wish You Were Here" on the chart's first week and "Goodbye." "Here's to Never Growing Up" peaked at number three. Avril would have had so many more hits had my chart existed from 2002 on. As for Chad, this is his first entry, though he would've also charted with "Into the Night" and "Hero" as a solo act and several hits through Nickelback. Debuting at 32 is the new single from PRISM, Katy Perry's third album. "Unconditionally" follows "Roar" and "Dark Horse" as the third track from the album to hit the chart. Both songs currently sit at their peaks at three and 17. Debuting at 33 is the second single from Lady Gaga's ARTPOP album, due out next week. "Do What U Want" also features R. Kelly, his first chart entry. Debuting at 40 is Ellie Goulding's "Burn." "Burn" has already been a huge hit overseas, but it is just starting out here in the US, which is great timing since it took it that long to grow on me. Ellie Goulding's chart history is stellar with two number one hits: "Lights" and "Figure 8" along with a feature hit, "I Need Your Love," which peaked at six. Will "Burn" follow the previous number ones? The biggest debut story, howver, comes to us at number 36. The track is "Ride" by SoMo. I have no idea where this song came from all of a sudden. It was released back in January through SoMo's YouTube account, but has only recently been gaining in views and randomly sits at #171 on iTunes despite it not having any significant airplay or promo. I STRONGLY encourage you all to check out "Ride" this week. (This is the other homework I was talking about.) "Ride" is a very smooth r&b/hip-hop track that has such a flawless hook, I can't even begin to describe it. Perfect earworm. The six new entries kick out five 20+ week songs and a Lorde album track. We must say goodbye to "Treasure," "Safe and Sound," "Made in the USA," "Blurred Lines," "Dance with Me Tonight," and "The Love Club." So I decided to try a spin on Codex's formula on my chart just to see what it would give me: 1. Wrecking Ball (=) 2. Tennis Court (+10) 3. Replay (+1) 4. Roar (-1) 5. Gorilla (+3) 6. Ke$ha) *Songs that I've added to my iPod. Miley increases her points as she extends to SIX WEEKS atop the chart, making it the longest running number one since Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." and tieing for the record of longest consecutive stay at number one with "I Knew You Were Trouble.," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and "Die Young." So while Miley racks up the records, Lorde unfortunately did not as "Royals" falls two to five this week, ending its eleven week streak inside the top two. This is, however, its 14th week inside the top ten and 13th inside the top five. Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." holds the record for both of those feats with 22 weeks in the top ten and 17 weeks in the top five. Can Lorde beat Taylor? Meanwhile, as Lorde falls out of the top two, Zendaya's dance/r&b/pop tune, "Replay," leaps to the second position at a new peak. Below the Disney starlet is a very surprising increase from Bruno Mars' "Gorilla," which jumps eight to three, tieing "Locked Out of Heaven" for the highest peaking Bruno Mars song. Is "Gorilla" a future number one contender? Rihanna also shifts up a spot to number four with "What Now." Rihanna and Bruno are no strangers to charting together in the fall. Last fall, "Diamonds" and "Locked Out of Heaven" were inside the top five at the same time. Here they are again with "What Now" and "Gorilla." Coincidence? Yes, but it's still fun to note. Below the top five, Katy Perry's "Roar" slips three spots to number six and "Alone Together" also slips a spot to number seven. Entering the top ten for the first time at number eight is Cher Lloyd's and T.I.'s "I Wish." "I Wish" marks the second top ten for both artists. Cher Lloyd peaked at number two last year with "Want U Back," which landed at number eleven on the year-end chart. T.I. was just inside the top ten earlier this year with Robin Thicke and Pharrell with "Blurred Lines," which peaked at number three. Below them, Lorde makes another leap as she secures herself as chart queen. "Tennis Court" leaps back into the top ten at number nine. Lana Del Rey finishes off the top ten with "Summertime Sadness." Lorde and Cher/T.I. kick out "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Wake Me Up!" One of those falls incredibly hard this week and earns biggest decrease of the week. That title goes to Avicii as "Wake Me Up!" plunges from number nine to number 27 with a point loss of 3.4 points. Just below the top ten is this week's biggest increase of the week, coming to us from Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger with their soft rock oriented "Let Me Go," which skyrockets from 29 to 11 with an increase of 5.5 points! Just below that Lorde continues her crazy hold of the chart as "Team" rebounds to number 12. Its original peak is number ten. Will it be able to re-enter the top ten and outpeak itself? Three other songs earn new peaks inside the top twenty this week. Echosmith's "Cool Kids" shifts up two spots to number 16 as does Tegan and Sara's "Closer" at 18. Ciara's "Overdose" enters the top twenty at number 19. Also earning new peaks below the top twenty include "My Kind of Love" at 22, "On Top of the World" at 23, "Burn" at 24, "Unconditionally" at 25, "Do What U Want" at 26, "Buzzcut Season" at 28 (OMG, LORDE!), and "Ride" at 30. Yep, Lorde earns a new peak this week with "Buzzcut Season," continues to slay in longevity with "Royals," re-enters the top ten with "Tennis Court," gets close to doing that same thing with "Team," and, check it out, at number 39, Lorde debuts with "Ribs," yet another album track from Pure Heroine. This marks Lorde's SIXTH chart entry from her current The Love Club/ Pure Heroine era. She's charted roughly 43% of her current era with me so far! 5 tracks from Pure Heroine with "Ribs"'s debut, and two from The Love Club. ("Royals" appears on both.) The chart also sees another debut at 37 from Demi Lovato with "Neon Lights." Speaking of Lorde's amazing feat of charting so much from her era, Demi Lovato has also snagged a bunch of entries from her current era. The Demi era has given Demi SIX entries with the debut of "Neon Lights" as well! Demi, of course, went to number one earlier this year with the lead single, "Heart Attack," and went on to also chart "Something That We're Not" at 21, "Really Don't Care" at 32, "Made in the USA" at number seven, and "Never Been Hurt" at 40. It's also worth noting that even though it has never made the chart, "Nightingale" is close to being certified gold. It's definitely been quite the year for both ladies. Re-entering the chart at number 40 is Kacey Musgraves' "Follow You Arrow," the third single from her wonderful debut album, Same Trailer Different Park, which spawned the two top ten hits, "Merry Go 'Round" at number three "Blowin' Smoke" at number ten. "Follow Your Arrow" was the only album track to make the chart back when the album was released, peaking at 37 and spending two weeks on the chart. Now it re-enters after just entering the top 50 on country and being performed splendidly on the CMAs. The two debuts and one re-entry kick out "Acapella," "She Keeps Me Warm," and "True Love." Under the adds section, there is quite a bit of action to discuss as well. Avril Lavigne's self-titled fifth album is added this week after being released. It joins Lorde, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry as albums that I have bought recently so close together and OMG how can I even afford this, holy crap there's still Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson, Jesus help me group. As if that one album wasn't enough, I've got a whole other EP's worth of extra tracks. Unsurprisingly is Britney Spears' "Perfume." Britney has yet to go one era without my liking at least one song. "Work Bitch" sucked, but I really like "Perfume." Kind of a shocker is Cassadee Pope's "Wasting All These Tears." A wonderful country song from a The Voice winner. This song just took a bit to grow on me. I did somewhat like it when it first came out nearly three months ago, but now it has finally clicked with me. The other four tracks are miracle stories. First up, Pitbull and Ke$ha's "Timber." While I'm obviously a huge Ke$ha fan (I mean, check out the name of the chart), I did not care for this at first. I like Ke$ha's part, but Pitbull's rap verses were so off putting. The song has become too infectious for me to deny, but I still cringe at Pitbull's rap verses. The pre-chorus, though, is nice. Next are Bastille's "Pompeii" and Passenger's "Let Her Go." Two tracks that I really liked the production, melody, lyrics, etc. of, but their vocals just were like nails on a chalkboard to me. It's the accents, of course, with Bastille hailing from London, England and Passenger from Brighton and Hove, England. Nothing against the British accents, but sometimes the really thick ones (which both have) are so off putting for me, but they finally grew on me, and just in time too. "Let Her Go" is really to explode into a massive hit any moment and "Pompeii" just entered the top 50 on pop. The finale one is the most shocking thing I've ever seen. One Direction. Yes, One Direction receives an add this week from "Story of My Life." I absolutely cannot stand One Direction. However, "Story of My Life" is so different from their normal sound. I really like it, and the video really helped as well. About this time last year was when Justin Bieber shocked me with "As Long As You Love Me," which peaked at number six. The song also went on top be top 30 in the year-end chart. "Story of My Life" looks to be One Direction's "As Long As You Love Me." Miley rejoices in the featured gif this week due to "Wrecking Ball" remaining on top for a seventh week. Why is this such a big deal? Well, for starters, it puts her into third place behind Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" (9) and "I Knew You Were Trouble." (8) for longest stay at number one. But the big news is that "Wrecking Ball" broke the record for longest consecutive stay at number one. Both of Taylor's hits were broken up by P!nk or Ke$ha. Miley's uninterrupted seven-week stay at number one breaks the previous record of six week held by both of Taylor's hits and Ke$ha's "Die Young." Lorde also inches closer to the records of longest stay inside the top ten and top five with "Royals" as it extends to 15 weeks inside the top ten and 14 weeks inside the top five. As reported last week, Taylor Swift holds both of those records with "I Knew You Were Trouble." with 22 weeks and 17 weeks respectively. Positions two through four also remain the same. In the six to ten region, Fall Out Boy and Katy Perry switch places with their hits while Cher Lloyd remains at number eight. Below them, though, is two new top ten entries. Coming in at number nine is Jessie J's "Magnetic," a track from the soundtrack to The Mortal Instruments. Jessie J has previously made the top ten by being the chart's first ever number one artist with "Domino" back in January 2012. Entering at number ten is Echosmith's "Cool Kids." This is the band's first top ten entry. "Cool Kids" is poised to become a big hit as it enters the top ten in only its fourth week. The two entries kick out "Tennis Court" and "Summertime Sadness" to numbers eleven and twelve respectively. There isn't a whole lot of movement this week on the chart, but there are some notable changes. Lady Gaga's "Do What U Want" leaps 13 positions from 26 to 13 as it gains 2.5 points, earning it the biggest increase of the week along with Kacey Musgraves' "Follow Your Arrow," also up 2.5 points moving up 40 to 32, earning it a new peak after its last week re-entry. Avril Lavigne's "Let Me Go" falls quite a bit after leaping from 29 to 11 last week, it tumbles to 18 this week as it experiences a harsh monthly rolling curse. It will definitely rebound, though. Katy Perry also becomes the second artist currently holding three songs in the top twenty. "Dark Horse" resurges to its original peak of 17 while "Unconditionally" jumps to number twenty in its third week. ("Roar" is at number seven.) This is the first time in history that two artists have had three songs inside the top twenty at the same time. Katy also becomes only the fourth artist to achieve the feat, joining P!nk (Blow Me, Try, Reason), Ke$ha (who had 4 with Die Young, C'mon, Crazy Kids, and Gold Trans Am), and Lorde (currently has Royals, Tennis Court, and Team). With Katy's two surges into the top 20, she knocks out Tegan and Sara's "Closer" and Avril Lavigne's "Rock N Roll" to 21 and 22 respectively. Below the top twenty, after crashing from nine to 27 last week, Avicii sees a nice rebound to 23. SoMo's "Ride" moves up seven spots to 24. "Burn" gains points, but slips a position to 25. Lorde's "Buzzcut Season" moves up two spots to 26. 78violet get a decent rebound back into the top 30 at number 29. Lorde also increases from 39 to 37 with "Ribs." The chart only has one debut this week, and it's from Katy Perry! Katy scores a fourth chart entry from PRISM this week with the album track "International Smile." With Katy Perry, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, and Avril Lavigne all releasing albums I purchased within the past two months, the ladies are completely owning the chart. Together, they are charting 14 titles! That's over 1/3 of the entire chart. Lorde of course leads the pack with "Royals," "Tennis Court," "Team," "Buzzcut Season," and "Ribs." Miley Cyrus has "Wrecking Ball," "4x4," and "We Can't Stop." Katy Perry has "Roar," "Dark Horse," "Unconditionally," and now "International Smile." Avril Lavigne has "Let Me Go" and "Rock N Roll" with a few album tracks sitting right outside the top 40. Note that Taylor Swift also owns two positions on the chart with "Red" and "Everything Has Changed" and could debut soon with "Sweeter Than Fiction." Katy's debut of "International Smile" knocks out Bonnie McKee's "American Girl." Bonnie does remain on the chart, though, as a co-writer of Katy's own "Roar." Miley Cyrus remains at number one for an astonishing eighth week! "Wrecking Ball" extends the record for longest consecutive stay at number one while moving up to tie Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." for second longest stay at number one in total. Also, while Miley continues to shatter records, Lorde continues to inch closer to the record for longest stay in the top five and top ten with "Royals." This week marks its 16th week inside the top ten and 15th week inside the top five. It is only 6 weeks away from tieing "I Knew You Were Trouble." in the top ten week record and 2 weeks away from tieing the same song for the top five week record. The good news for Lorde, though, is that even if she fails to break either of those records, she just broke another one today! "Buzzcut Season" made a surprising leap into the top 20 this week, marking Lorde as the first artist to secure FOUR spots in the top 20 at the same time ("Royals" at 5, "Tennis Court" at 11, "Team" at 15, and "Buzzcut Season" at 19)! Also, Bruno Mars and Rihanna both move up a spot inside the top five, earning new peaks for "Gorilla" at two and "What Now" at three. "Replay" shifts down to number four. Outside the top five, not much has changed from last week. "Alone Together," "I Wish," and "Magnetic" stay stationary at six, eight, and nine respectively. Echosmith jumps from ten to seven this week earning a new peak with "Cool Kids." There is a new top ten entry this week at number ten from Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger with "Let Me Go." This is Avril's second top ten entry since the chart's inception in January 2012. "Here's to Never Growing Up" managed a peak of number three over the summer of 2013. This is Chad's first top ten entry as Nickelback have yet to chart since the chart's inception date. The new top ten entry of "Let Me Go" kicks out Katy Perry's "Roar" down to number 13 earning biggest decrease of the week by losing 3.15 points. Outside the top ten, Tegan and Sara make a very surprising leap after falling off of their peak to number 21 last week, they jump to a brand new peak of number 12! Ciara also finally moves away from the number 19 position and leaps five spots to number 14. Katy Perry also has a nice two-for-one going on as "Unconditionally" moves up from 20 to a new peak of 17 and "Dark Horse" slips a spot to nuber 18. Oddly enough, the two songs are tied in points, with the tie breaker being their bullets. As previously stated, "Buzzcut Season" enters the top 20 at number 19, but another song also sneaks its way into the top 20. Ellie Goulding's "Burn" rears in a number 20. With "Closer" also re-entering the top 20, the three top 20 "new"comers knock down "Summertime Sadness" to 21, "Red" to 26, and "Hold On, We're Going Home" to 28. Below the top 20, a few songs reach new peaks: SoMo's "Ride" at 23, Kacey Musgraves' "Follow Your Arrow" at 24, Lorde's "Ribs" at 33, Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights" at 36, and Katy Perry's "International Smile" at 39. For the second week in a row, "Follow Your Arrow" earns the biggest increase of the week honor by increasing by 1.9 points. The chart also sees two debuts. Debuting at number 38 is Christina Aguilera's "We Remain" from the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Both the soundtrack and film were released this week, which explains why "We Remain" finally entered the top 40 after sitting just outside for weeks on end. This is Christina's third chart entry following the two top hive hits, "Your Body" and "Just a Fool," featuring Blake Shelton. They peaked at five and four respectively. The song is poised to see a nice increase next week as well when I finally get to see Catching Fire! (I'm a HUGE fan of The Hunger Games, BTW.) Debuting at number 40 is Pitbull and Ke$ha with "Timber," a song that actually took a while to grow on me, but now I'd say it's a contender for a future number one. This is Pitbull's second chart entry following his featured credit on Jennifer Lopez's "Dance Again," which peaked at 27 and obviously Ke$ha has done well, check out the name of the chart for crying out loud. The new debuts kick out Kelly Clarkson's "Tie It Up" and Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop."
