Well, thanks to Rick for making my job easier this week with the actual chart posted, and posted early as well. :) I did have an error in the top 5 from my chart posting last week which I just corrected.
Not a lot going on outside of three debuts and a new number one song, as this is otherwise the slowest chart of the year with four songs only managing no more than 3 spot move up for the weeks "biggest" jumpers.
Maroon5 does take over the top of the chart this week with "One More Night", the first number one song with that title since Phil Collins took his version of this song to the top back in 1985. :) More importantly though is that Fun.'s "Some Nights" may completely get stiffed out of their second number one song as they are stuck at #2 for the fourth week in a row. We'll see if they can sneak a week in at the top before all is said and done.
The only interesting part of the chart is towards the bottom with several heavy hitters debuting this week, including new songs by Ke$ha, Justin Bieber, and a song that sounds like it was on the chart by the Police back in 1985 by Bruno Mars. Also Adele has this week's Sure Shot with the theme from the upcoming James Bond film "Skyfall", a song that should be battling for the top spot before the end of the year with Bruno and Ke$ha.
Last week's Sure Shot by Lifehouse and Natasha Bedingfield still has a good chance to debut next week, along with Rihanna's latest hit "Diamonds". Hopefully there will be more movement on the entire chart as well.
