"Diamonds" makes a nice 19 notch jump. If I'm not mistaken, that makes it the second biggest mover of the year ("Scream" still takes the lead with a 25 spot climb).

There's been a lot of 18 spot jumps this year ("Good Time", 40-22; Want U Back, 40-22; "Gangnam Style", 37-19) but no 19 spot jumps. I don't remember the last time there's been one either, apart from Usher's "Scream".

And Justin Bieber has had 8 Top 40 hits with "As Long As You Love Me" being his highest peaking so far.

I count 9 Bieber top 40 hits; if you blinked you might have missed "Never Say Never", which spent only one week on AT40 at #39. None of them went top 10 until "Boyfriend".

Good choice of Neon Trees as the 2 for 1 extra, as they only have one other big hit thus far and so they didn't have two different extras in the countdown, as others did over the last couple of weeks.

Clarification: Ryan said something like, "Despite hitting the Top 40 eight times before, none of them have climbed this high..." implying that this was his 9th.

That was really nuts. Just when I was about to say that they've learned how to better place the extras. Also didn't they play Hips Don't Lie a few months ago. I thought I had made my silly joke that it should be named Ships Don't Fly, which would make more sense. (exception: Starships)
We get a top 5 this week with 2 Night songs and 2 breakup songs.
It's a good chart. Relatively fresh, with some good movements. Only 3 songs stayed put.
What's with the sped up voice samples. I Cry (Brenda Russell),
Lonely (Bobby Vinton), Through The Wire (Chaka Khan). Rather
annoying IMO.
PSY talked about the PSYd effects of dancing to his music. BTW
are contiguous US residents a little "Too Close" together?
