Classic. It's probably because it was a throwback even at the time, but this has aged so well.

It's a good song, but not my favorite single of theirs or anything. Lost a bit of its shimmer due to overplay. Although I still love "Stray Cat Strut" and that hasn't exactly been left unplayed, so I dunno. Anyway, Stray Cats had a good thing going musically with their revivalist rock.

I first heard a clip of this song during a 80s CD complication called "80s Wave" that aired in the mid-to-late 90s. Cartoon Network and other cable stations that I watched back then used to air it a lot and I still remember that commercial. Good tune and nice throwback to that 50s/early 60s sound, which I agree helps it age better than the typical synth-heavy pop sound that dominated the 80s. youtu.be/k5oT5mA4Y00
