Just had to drop by and say that "Trying Not To Think About It" is so darn good. "Spiral Szn" is such a fine a** track, but I really can't choose what I really like on this record because it's all a bop. She delivered hard and I'm here for it. I'm so glad she is able to make albums like this for us.

The song is spiking considerably on Spotify right now. It's up roughly 6.3% in total plays over the last couple of weeks, which places it as the third highest increase by percentage in her discography (behind the "remastered" "Hung Up on You" released just last month and "Spiral SZN"). |

I'm still so mad they didn't get nominated for their "Natural Woman" cover at the GRAMMYs this year. An absolutely divine rendition.
I felt a little strange about their live cover of it for YouTube, then realized the disconnect was that they most likely performed on two separate green screens due to COVID and it was stitched it together after the fact. Their mannerisms / behavior never quite matched up compared to what's going on here.

Love her CD. Saw her at the Scoot Inn. At first, I thought the venue was too small for her, but wound up working well. She definitely sounded hoarse/strained and her falsetto, never her strong suit, was pretty weak and pitchy. Overall though, she definitely fed off the crowd, which was RABID, and she found her footing. Glad I went. She looked GOOOODt too.
