He won't do WFL or SAIKI, so It Will Rain and Mercy could take those spots, however, I expect him to replace them with Gangnam Style and WANEGBT. I hated DJ Earworm's picks last year. I would have been fine if he had just done the sensible thing and swapped only 'Just The Way You Are' for 'The Lazy Song' due to the former song making the Top 25 in 2010 and the latter being #26. But instead he pretty much whacked out what he pleased and really messed up any hope for consistency I had from him. № Title Artist(s) 1 Rolling in the Deep Adele 2 Party Rock Anthem LMFAO, Lauren Bennett and GoonRock 3 Firework Katy Perry 4 E.T. A bit surprised that "Love On Top" is the #1 urban song. I was thinking "Adorn" or "Climax".
I wasn't expecting "Lotus Flower Bomb" to be in the Top 5.

Earworm will not go back to strictly-top-25. He's already linked an interview he did about the 2012 mash on his Facebook page, and it namechecks songs that were nowhere near the top 25 (like 'Gangnam Style' and 'Die Young').

Not surprised by the Top 5 to be honest WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL AND GLAD YOU CAME TOP 10!!!!! Very surprise with Flo's rankings :O Drive By, The Motto, and I Won't Give Up in the Top 25 :O :O :O Titanium ahead of Turn Me On? ??? As Long As You Love Me in Top 40 GIVE YOUR HEART A BREAK AT 39!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The One That Got Away is surprisingly low Surprised to see No Lie, Don't Wake Me Up and Heart Attack that high Yay It's Time and Burn It Down!! Not surprised DJ Earworm is gonna use "Gangnam Style". I think he'll do 1. Somebody That I Used to Know 2. Call Me Maybe 3. We Are Young 4. Payphone 5. Lights 6. Glad You Came 7. Stronger 9. Starships 10. What Makes You Beautiful 11. Wild Ones 12. Set Fire to the Rain 13. Some Nights 15. Wide Awake 16. Good Feeling 17. Whistle 18. One More Night 21. Where Have You Been 22. Everybody Talks 24. Titanium Plus: It Will Rain Boyfriend We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Gangnam Style Die Young Diamonds

A bit surprised that "Love On Top" is the #1 urban song. I was thinking "Adorn" or "Climax". I wasn't expecting "Lotus Flower Bomb" to be in the Top 5. Love On Top's longevity was a beast. Adorn came out too late in the year to be a contender for the top (very pleased to see him at #6 though, and at the rate Adorn is going I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the top 20 next year). And it's Usher, so it was kind of a given that he'd be #2 b/c that's just how it always is with him, lol. I also was not expecting LFB to be so high though. That kind of caught me by surprise. Speaking of longevity monsters, wow at Party Rock Anthem being in the top 30 this year. Glad You Came is a few spots higher than I expected. It was #8 on Digital Songs and #11 on Airplay...streaming really did make a difference for it to outrank its position on both those charts. DJ Earworm screwed himself somewhat by including late-in-the-year smashes in his mashup...if he does that this year (say, throwing in WANEGBT and Diamonds) and they're in the top 25 next year, he has to ignore them and throw in other stuff. I understand wanting to squeeze in a song like Mercy or Boyfriend...songs that did have a pretty big presence at the time they were charting, but just missed the top 25 and are very unlikely to show up on next year's list. But this year is pretty heavy on the year-end hits, so that is a lot of stuff for him to be trying to switch out and risk having to omit it in 2013. I said it last time, he should just say 'eff the BB thing, I'm picking the 25 songs I want' and leave it at that.

Btw, surprising that Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men didn't make the YE top 100 when Burn It Down did. Must've been close though

It's an odd thing that the Wanted had a more successful single than One Direction, considering how much higher the profile of the latter is at the moment.

Songs I’m a definite fan of in the Digital T75, in sales order: Call Me Maybe, We Are Young, Some Nights, We Are Never, Party Rock Anthem…Hmm, 7%.
There are more songs I actively dislike. The T5 that bother me the most: Gangnam Style, Somebody That I Used to Know, One That Got Away, Whistle, Rolling in the Deep.

DJ Earworm totally didn't use the 2012 Billboard year end for this year's mash-up. Plenty of "Diamonds" and "Locked Out Of Heaven," barely any "Call Me Maybe" or "Gangnam Style."
This year's mix is "United State of Pop 2012 (Shine Brighter)"

Gangnam Style only #27 on hot digital songs. That's a major surprise for me. It was seemingly number one for a long time on the digital chart.

Yep, for the chart period it was only 2.3 million sold which is not a huge number these days.
The song is now at 3 million and with the Christmas boost it should cross 4 million soon.

I'm actually more amazed that WANEGBT didn't manage to reach higher than #21. It had at least ten weeks of sales if I'm not mistaken.
After the gigantic opening sales, I was thinking of something like 3.5 million/ten weeks.

I'm happy for Linkin Park to sneak onto the chart at 100, but I don't see how that happened. The song only spent two weeks of its entire chart life in the top 50 (positions 30 and 46) and had no little support at pop/hot-AC/AC radio. Its chart run of 23 weeks is not that spectacular, spending the majority of its time in the mid-60s.

Since I'm still waiting for my year-end issue of Billboard that I ordered over a week ago (apparently, they're shipping it by carrier pigeon, this year ), and, since Billboard have made some changes to what information they've decided to make freely available on Billboard.biz, would someone be able to share the following year-end #1s?: Active Rock Mainstream R&B/Hip Hop Songs (Billboard's equivalent to the Urban airplay chart) Also looking for the top Hot 100 Producer and Hot 100 Songwriter. Thanks.
