Yeah...not to mention the fact that it was totally unprofessional and amateurish. It looked like a 12 year old fangirl wrote it.  I've noticed that a lot of VH1's articles have that feel. This is the same network that brought us LHH, Bad Girls Club, etc. so it shouldn't surprise me that their writing staff is basically a mirror of their programming. There were a few salient points in this article, but nothing that hasn't been said before. Keri had or still has a stank attitude that makes people not want to root for her, but at the end of the day Keri was scraping up hits and gold albums at the height of her unlikability. People will quietly check for her even as they say they are not, then act surprised if she manages to put out a hot song that finds its way in the top 10 on urban. She's never going to be a real 'star' in the sense that we consider one to be on that level, but there's no reason to act like her career is dead in the water before hearing a single note. She does need to hand over her twitter to her publicist though. I won't even argue against that one. |

Damn shame. Especially coming from VH1. Have they ever bashed an artist like this? Agreed on Twitter too. She is like Iggy. The social media accounts for large outlets like Billboard, VH1, etc have fed into stan culture, gay lingo, and just plain being messy. |

She was removed from Interscope's roster months ago and all of the MMG artists were supposed to migrate over to Epic with the exception of OneRepublic. I assumed this transition is what caused the delay in her releasing new material.
But what do I know? I'll be cautiously perched on Friday just in case.

I played her debut a good amount in 2009 and thought it was pretty much solid, even if a slight few of the tracks could have been cut. The second was more hit and miss (Breaking Point is AWFUL), but the highlights there were good as well, so I'll check this out by default whenever/if it arrives.
She was a fool for cutting her songwriting career though.
