Now... what about the last try of this late 90's popstars to have the Britney and Christina's success... both releasing her second full studio albums in 2001 (I say "full" because of Mandy's I Wanna Be With You in the year 2000 wasn't really a completely new album) with banging pop and commercial singles... wich one of them did it better? Mandy Moore is an AMAZING album. In My Pocket, Saturate Me, Cry, 17, Yo-Yo, From Loving You, etc. are great! Irresistible had some great moments too, but there are only about four songs I ever revisit. Hot Like Fire was a jam though!

Mandy. I still can't with that Irresistable video. Jessica, boo, you was tryin so hard to be *cough* well, you know who.
I don't think Christina and Amanda ever went that far with their knock-offs. They were more subtle.

OMG it's been so long since I've listened to those songs. I used to love Irresistible

Both of them are fantastic pop albums, but I have to go with Irresistible. It's full of great songs from start to finish, whereas I only really *love* about half of Mandy Moore.

Mandy Moore. I hope we get another pop album from her.

Jessica made a fun, cute cd, but ultimately it was a bit weak overall and obviously trying way too hard. Mandy made, for me, one of the best cds to come out of the teen pop craze. I know people will find that crazy, but some of those songs still hold up for me and I like how she forged her own path a bit which, if we are honest, not many were doing musically in that trend at least until later. Great cd and I wish she would make another pop cd.

I actually just listened to that album a few weeks ago for the first time in a while and I was surprised at how well many of the songs held up. 'In My Pocket', especially, still sounds pretty fresh, nearly 12 years later.

I haven't listened to these albums in years but I remember loving Mandy Moore's self-titled album back in the summer of 2001.Such a great pop album. So I'm going to vote for Mandy.

Mandy's CD is great. In My Pocket alone makes me pick her album. That song was so ahead of its time.

Irresistible wins this for me. I think Jessica is the better "pop" artist. Whereas Wild Hope is better than all of the above. That type of music is Mandy Moore's strength, and "Extraordinary" was my favorite song for a long time.

Mandy's album was so good, I'd actually forgotten how much I adored that album. Jessica's was fun, sure, but not nearly as timeless and well-rounded like Mandy's.

Mandy's album was so good. One of the few teeny-bopper albums I can listen to from start to finish, and the lyrics were just gorgeous. One Sided Love was my anthem. I also adored Saturate Me. She worked with Gloria Estefan's husband on this release, and Jon Secada sings backup on a few tracks. Some really good stuff.

I really liked both albums...great, poppy fun. Jessica's was more derivative, and ultimately, I feel hasn't held up as well. I agree with those who said Mandy Moore was one of the best pop albums of that year, and I still love a lot of the songs.
Shame that both didn't perform better.

Mandy Moore. She has shown more growth than Jessica.
Although, the Irresistible So So Def remix>>

I haven't listened to Mandy's album since high school. From what I remembered, I did really liked that album and always loved the singles from that era, especially In My Pocket.
Irresistible is hands down my fave Jessica album, so I'll choose that one for now.

It's interesting so see much support for Mandy when her album was a such a failure. Not that Jessica did that much better but she got a Top 20 at least. Interesting Pulse!
