I think it's pretty much at home with That's What You Get and Ain't It Fun. (And they also had The Only Exception and Still Into You which were completely pop).

OK Paramore. I see you. Definitely had no use for them really (although Only Exception and Ain't It Fun were decent) but this Hard Times is a JAM. The video is fun too! I am getting Sia "We Are Born" vibes.

Paramore is finally getting my coin, even if it sounds like they are ripping off Haim.

Paramore is giving me a London Grammar moment with Tell Me How. I had to put that on-repeat a couple of times because it's so poignantly beautiful. I'm loving this album right now and how musically different it is from their past albums.

Picked this up at Best Buy with Harry Styles. Kinda pissed they were $11.99 instead of $9.99 or even $8.99 but still excited to listen to these tribute artists' albums!

This is easily my favorite album by them. One perfectly crafted pop song after another. In a perfect world, they'd have a handful of major pop hits from it.

In addition to the tour dates, Paramore will promote their new LP during upcoming appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live (May 17th), the Late Late Show With James Corden (May 24th) and Good Morning America (August 25th). SourceTotally going to the Akron, OH date on 10/15. I was expecting something in Cleveland, maybe the House of Blues or Quicken Loans Arena, but 45 minutes south is no biggie.

Told You So's chorus is the epitome of lazy. "I hate to say I told you so. But they love to say they told me so." Still a bop though. I stand by my Sia "We Are Born" comparisons, especially hearing the album in full. Candy-covered productions, angular guitars, with sad lyrics underneath, all laser-focused at pop radio, but sticking out like a sore thumb on current pop radio. The big difference here is: when Sia released WAB, she wasn't the radio darling she sorta became so radio wasn't going to touch anything from that album with a 10-foot pole. Paramore actually has a shot.

Not blown away on first listen. Sounds rushed/empty. Hopefully more listens will sway me.

This is extremely well-produced. "Fake Happy" is the standout. Would love to see it smash as a single.

Okay, but why is Paramore dropping the best song of 2017 so far with "Forgiveness"?
Solid album. Digging all of it save "No Friends."

I am COMPLETELY out of the loop with Paramore. I remember trying to listen to Riot! years ago and finding them super annoying (along with everything else Fueled By Ramen) and I've just avoided them ever since. But after the first few singles off this, I felt like I had to check out the rest. Uhhhhh... what kind of candy coated pop bops are these? Definitely digging this album.

When I tell you that Pool has me shook now! The wind chime intro just blends so organically into the rest of the production and the chorus is stuck in my head with that incredible melody. This is how you evolve a band into a more pop sound while still maintaining being a whole band unlike Maroon 5. Each member still plays an essential part and not just the lead singer.

But after the first few singles off this, I felt like I had to check out the rest. Uhhhhh... what kind of candy coated pop bops are these? Definitely digging this album. This is what is so great about this band. Their sound has continued to evolve album to album, but in a natural progression sort of way. Nothing has ever been jarring (unless maybe you skipped an album). Brand New Eyes is a mature version of Riot! with similar sounds, but a push towards more laid back acoustic vibes. Paramore is a step into pop/rock, new age, and 90s rock influenced music. It contains the band's energy without being a rehash of the same stuff they've already done. After Laughter takes all of that a step further into ska/new age, but harder and poppier versions of it. I just love this band's transformation. And yes, I indeed know there was an album before Riot!, but I'm not familiar with it enough to know it's overall sound versus Riot!'s.

All We Know is Falling is not that great to be honest, so you're not missing much.
I like what I've heard from this album but they really should have waited another month to release it, because the single hasn't done much yet.

Only listen to AWKIF for Emergency, Pressure, and Franklin. Franklin is still one of the best songs they've created because it has an incredibly deep meaning behind it that can resonate with anybody that feels like an outcast after being away from their hometown for an extended amount of time.

This album is fantastic. I've always liked their singles for the most part, but this album makes me want to check out their entire discography. hope they continue their slow-burn style of success that seems to happen every album cycle.
