This will be the first single from her upcoming second album. No adds date has been set yet, but All Access has it up in their "Cool New Music" section. It's very good (probably the most country-sounding thing CDJ's ever done) so hopefully radio won't ignore it. But, since she's a woman, the best she can probably hope for is a top 20.

I can't wait to check this out! I think it was at the CMAs when she edged out Cyndi Thomson and Tammy Cochran for Best New Female Artist. Cyndi should've won! I still stand by that.

Pretty good song. I have never been a real big CDJ fan, but I like this one. :)

It's okay. I actually like "Complicated" and "I Don't Want You To Go" more that this one. Just a bit too cliche.

I'm kind of dissapointed... I really liked her first album. It sounds like it may grow on me. But who knows?

This songs off to a pretty fast start - she's set to crack Billboard's top 40 this week, after only being officially released for a couple of weeks. No word on a release date for her new album, though, but I imagine it'll be sometime around February.

I've got a bit of info on the new album: it should be out in May, and it'll most likely be called Dress Rehearsal.

The title Dress Rehearsal has been confirmed, and the album will be released May 4th. In it's 18th week on the chart, "Simple Life" holds at #19 and is the second highest bulleted song by a female artist (after Sara Evans at #5, and Martina at #10 w/o a bullet). Does she have a shot at the top 10? She'll have to hang in for a bit, but my guess is at this point she'll either just make the top 10, or just miss it, peaking between 9 and 12. I think, overall, this single has been successful in reastablishing CDJ at country radio. :)

I picked up this new album today, and I like it, though it hasn't grabbed me as instantly as Room With A View did. It seems like it's a deeper and more personal album than her debut was. The highlights for me, after two listens so far, are "Dress Rehearsal", "Just Another Plane", "Life As We Know It", "Simple Life" and my pick for the next single, "Head Over High Heels".
The disappointing this is that "Simple Life" appears to have peaked, reaching as high as #13. She could still turn around, but my guess is that she's done.
