59. "I Wish I Was A Single Girl Again" Album: Time After Time An American Blues song, I find Eva's version to be my favourite. Just Eva and her guitar, she pours her heart into this song, as she does with most songs!

#58. "Anniversary Song" Album: Time After Time A very beautiful song, I ADORE Eva's voice on this. It's very soft, her harmonies work very well and the arrangement is just perfect.

#57. "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" Album: Americane Tune A cover of the Jazz classic, Eva plays around with it very well. Not over doing it and keeping it simple was a very good choice and works really well with her voice.

#56. "Somewhere" Album: Somewhere Written by Eva herself, I really love the way the song builds up. It has unusual breaks and changes in the production, with great backing vocals by Eva herself. Not to mention the great vocals she has on the song!

#55. "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" Album: Imagine A cover of the Buddy Holly song, Eva's version is quite different. I much prefer her version too, as the production better reflects the emotion of the song, along with Eva's vocals on the song.

#54. "American Tune" Album: American Tune A cover of the Paul Simon song, I really love Eva's rendition. It's very soothing, with some very lovely moments.

Me and Spotify are in need of an Eva Cassidy date soon, but out of the ones you posted that I already know? I really like "Somewhere" and her the cover of "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" is really great. I agree that she takes a bit of a simpler approach with it, but her voice on that really makes it divine mixed in with the guitar work.

Do you want me to book it for you? ;) Glad you like some of the things posted. I think once it reaches the top 40, you'll like quite a lot more. She has some very big vocal moments in songs to come which I think you'll enjoy (ala Chaka Khan) and the songs themselves will get better. A lot of the songs posted so far are just demos/live recordings, so haven't been polished properly or given the proper Eva treatment.

"American Tune" is a favorite of mine, and her version does it justice. Love it.

#53. "Ain't Doin' Too Bad" Album: Somewhere Originally by James Cotton, the song is a blues song, one I quite like. When combined with Eva's vocals too, I LOVE it. I really love the vibe of the song and the soul Eva gives.

#52. "Blue Skies" Album: Eva Cassidy: Live At Blues Alley A cover of the popular song written by Irving Berlin, Eva's version is wonderful. Her voice works really well with the song and seemlessly flows throughout.

#51. "Say Goodbye" Album : Wonderful World I love the harmonies and background vocals on this! Eva's vocals are excellent as usual; the emotion and her stylisation choices vocally work very well!

#50. "Waly Waly" Album: Eva By Heart The way Eva's voice transcends beyond beauty across the song and builds up at the end is breathtaking. Her version is unbeatable for me.

#49. "Imagine" Album: Imagine A very emotive Eva delivers this song very well. Though not my favourite version, the way her voice flows and the tone of it make it my most played version.

#48. "Wayfarying Stranger" Album: Songbird A cover of the American folk song, I really like what Eva did with the song, completely changing it up! Great vocals and I really love some of the runs she does in the song. It not only illustrates Eva's ability to make songs her own, but also how she is able to take a complete new spin on a song and own it. I have to say, her version is my favourite version of the song.

#47. "The Water Is Wide" Album: American Tune Another folk song cover by Eva, I really enjoy this song. Her subtle take on it makes it great to relax to, or if you need something to drown out background noise while working. I adore the quality of her tone when she belts during the last minute or so of the song, before taking it back down to a mellow ending.

#46. "Fine And Mellow" Album: Eva Cassidy: Live At Blues Alley A Jazz cover, Eva's is quite a bit different from the original Billie Holiday version. It's rather outlandish in comparison, but that's what I love about it.

#45. "Hallelujah I Love Him So" Album: American Tune A cover of Ray Charles' "Hallelujah I Love Her So", I really enjoy Eva's version. The crescendo at the end is great and her overall delivery comes across genuine.

#44. "Drown In My Own Tears" Album: The Other Side Another Ray Charles cover, I ADORE this song. Eva's vocals are out of this world and works very well with Chuck's. The harmonies she does in the song are great too. But I just love it when she lets go. Gives me chills every time! There are a couple live solo recordings here and here too.

#43. God Bless The Child" Album: American Tune Many have covered this gem of a song and Eva is no exception. I really enjoy Eva's version and it is possibly my favourite version of the song. I love the feel/production of the song, Eva's vocals and the overall delivery. She also has another version of the song she did with Chuck Brown (he plays the piano) if anyone's interested. It's also a great version of the song!

#42. "This Is For My Mother" Album: The Story A track she did with two unknown rappers, she plays the hook girl basically. I LOVE her harmonies, runs and vocals in the song. The song itself is nice and I quite like the soft rapping. :)

Will be continuing this soon. I've just had real issues with this thread because of the V4 to V5 crossover means the pages take a long time to load due to the videos and my internet has been rather crappy recently. But my internet is better now and I've been changing the videos to links to the videos rather than embed them as it seems to be such a pain in regards to loading the page! Almost done with that. :)
